In this video, I'm sharing some memorable Mackinaw vacation footage and some eBay sales that happened while we were away. I also open up some friend mail from a few very kind folks.
We had such a fun time on our Mackinaw vacation and I wanted to document it for my regular weekly vlog. I also wanted to share the news that Emma and Kolin got engaged on Mackinac Island while we were there. SUCH an amazing trip! Thank you for watching!

I love the sound of the sea too.I lived in Greece on the West coast in Patras for 20 years. My husband was Greek..Now I live near Amsterdam and I miss the sound of the sea SO much and the smell of Jasmine and the sound of the crickets at night..😢 I miss my friends very much and hope that I can still go back for a long holiday before I get too old.👵🏻

Mackinac Island is my favorite vacation spot. Try to spend at least a week so you can see the whole thing. Things get better after the day trippers get back on the ferries to one of our peninsulas. That’s the best time to go down town and check out the shops.

In my experience, St. Ignace is never as busy as Mackinaw City during summer. They do not have as many tourist attractions.
In the winter, many shops and hotels close down.

❤The antiques are further south in the state...ask George😊Saginaw , Bay City,Oakland Co.Where you were is tourist city and yes the tourist areas are cray cray.The thrifting however is amazing!😊

The Verrezano-Narrows Bridge is the longest suspension bridge in Staten Island, New York. So happy for the kids on their engagement.

First off, it looks like you had a fantastic few days of vacation to enjoy. One thing though, how in the heck were you able to go stand out on that ledge to look out that light house?!!! No way in HECK could I have done that, I'm afraid of heights! When you said in this vlog something about them being long. How many times have any of us sat and watched an hour long tv show? Your vlogs are usually more fun than a tv show. I sometimes wonder, how on earth do you keep all of the things you do straight. I'm lucky to keep two or three chores in one day, straight. Thanks for more time with you and your family. Congratulations to your daughter and soon to be son-in-law.

Lake Pontchartrain bridge going in to New Orleans is 23 miles long. That is scary.

It’s always great to hear that people enjoy visiting northern Michigan. I loved going there as a kid and still enjoy going now. My cousin lives and owns a shop on the island. Congratulations to your daughter and her fiancée. Thanks for sharing your experience.
My sister and I went to Mackinaw Island several years ago. Biked around the island, stopped for fried pickles along the way, took a horse and buggy ride up to a restaurant in the woods and walked back in the dark to our airbnb. Wonderful trip. Walked by the Governor's house, up and down hills full of trilllium, had tea in the big hotel. Wonderful memories.
Funny, my hunkband uses a tacklebox for his boy stuff, he calls it his *mandoodle* 😂

I have always been afraid of heights but i WAS EVEN TAKEN ABACK LOOKING AT THE SCENERY FROM UP IN THE LIGHTHOUSE. BEAUTIFUL BUT i WAS SHAKING!! Thanks for sharing your trip! Oh yes, things are expensive up in northern Michigan. Loved; looking at the scenery colors.

I did the Labor Day bridge walk a couple years ago and it was very busy the whole weekend. We rented a cabin just outside of st ignace - it was so nice!!!

Oh, I love Michigan! I just got back from a trip there a little over a week ago. Unfortunately I got Covid while there, but it was still a wonderful adventure. I have yet to go to the island or over the bridge. We just ran out of time this last time. I love, love, love listening to the sounds of the waves hitting the shore on Lake Huron. And I also love looking for Petosky stones. I found a few this last time. I am so glad you got to go up there. Michigan is such a magical place. It is my happy place.

Misty there is a thrift store in St. Ignace and you just pay by donation of what you think the item is worth. It is on the street beside the Family Fare grocery store. Next time check it out
Also some good thrift stores in Cheboygan.

We used to go to Mackinac Island when I was a kid with my mom’s twin sister and family. I Loved it there! One year it rained all day. We sat at a restaurant for awhile while our parents decided what to do. We ended up driving in upper Michigan and saw the Locks. Then we drove south to Wisconsin Dells. One of the best vacations!

LOL I believe you might have slipped and called Colin, Emma's fiancee in one of your videos. So getting everyone there was probably part of the plan and Colin probably told you his intention. If I am wrong okay, just thought when you said Emma and Colin were coming along, I thought something was up.
