What a coincidence that I watched this today and it was top of the list on GW's community article about amazingly painted Dominion models published today!
After 15 years i started to paint again and did some different models, but this video inspired me to make an whole army again. I got the Dominon Boxset and all the paints in this "how to.."vid. This video gave me the inspiration and convidence that maybe i can paint something nice looking also, as long as i follow your instructions. I also seen some of your short vids you did on orc/Hobgrotz skins so those will also help. (ps. dont take it down or ill be f#%ked.)
I would say so, I was absolutely blown away by how well you did the hide, loving your videos and can't wait to follow this, but gotta work through that pile of shame first.
I didn’t realize how well the blood angels red works for squigs/shields. Gonna have to add that to my collection. Great vid as always, hope to see some hobgrots soon! Cheers!
Hi Sean - you could certainly try - maybe have a go on some paper forst to practice the effect you want to get - when it comes to the flesh of the gnashtoof, there's no tight highlighting it's very messy as this adds to the organic feel
Love the video mate! Have you considered using time stamps so people returning to follow a specific part of the tutorial could skip to the bit they needed?
Thanks Anthony - I honestly don't know - it depends on the colour you want to go with - you could dp it similar to the gnashtoof here, or check the videos I did for Cellenar, sons of behemat, glutos orscollion and lauka vai for ideas!
@@ThePaintingCoach Thanks! It's kind of hard to figure out. I think I might go with something like you did here since it's for my Slaanesh themed Slaves to Darkness. The GW scheme is this like dark dark almost black red and I'm not quite sure how I would replicate that.
Mind if I ask why you didn’t keep the rider seperate for painting. Seems like it would be a lot easier to do that. Or maybe the model didn’t quite work like that?
This is exactly the tutorial I was looking for . Best Killaboss so far . I have a question : I ordered a Chaos black for undercoat as suggested on CitadelColor app for this model . Will this affect the result as you used a grey undercoat ?
I’m probably a bit late but does anyone know why when I do the layer of orruk flesh after I shade, it’s so bright? Like here in the video it looks great and a smooth blend between the recesses and flat/raised areas. But mine basically looks like a greenish-yellow to a dark green. Doesn’t look good at all
The only thing I can think of is that the shade may be a bit heavy, so it over darkens the green. The other option is to layer back up in very thin layers so the transition is a bit smoother
@@ThePaintingCoach also zero disrespect meant by that at all. You two just have voices that sound similar to my American ears. Been following your guide here for the Gnashtoof and it's far away the best tutorial for the Gnashtoof I've yet seen.
Why is there so much paint, and at £4.00 a pot i would have thought you'd be able to paint other 40k models, but they also call for different paint. So a model like this for a tenner would cost you £32.00 plus in paint ?

Yeah haha well chuffed!

That's awesome - so happy that the video inspired you! Don't worry - vids will be up as long as YT exists haha!
I think this is one of the best AOS minis ever
It's great - very atmospheric - a lot of work haha

Haha thanks! Think of it more as a pile od opportunity rather than a pile of shame!

Cheers mate - they will be around somewhere haha
Really enjoyed the video. I really appreciate the pace and level of detail. You make painting so much more achievable!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
I’ve just got back into the hobby and this video is one reason why 👌🏼 great video
Awesome! Welcome back!
The skin on the Gnashtoof is great! I was unsure of what recipe to use for the hide - thanks for the guide
Glad you enjoyed it!
I'm saving my big lad on beasty till last - well that's the plan - really like your beasts colours - may pinch that!
Cheers mate 👍🏻
Love the skin recipe I literally used it step by step cause I loved it so much!!! One of my favourite warhammer creators at the moment
Thank you! That means a lot ! Am glad the video helped!
@@ThePaintingCoach I will be joining the stormcast eternal newsagent painting competition. I can't wait!!!
Wicked!
Great video!!!! I really like how you keep everything simple.
Thanks Clayton!
Great tutorial! Definitely going to borrow some of these techniques for mine - especially the Gnashtoof :)
Cheers! Glad you enjoyed it!
Fantastic tutorial as always this is going to help me alot when It comes to painting mine 😁👍
Cheers!
One of my favourite paintin videos. The kruleboyz just look so nice. And love the paintjob.
Cheers
Another fantastic tutorial! Would love to see you do the new lord kroak.
Thanks Chris - I appreciate it! I probably won't get chance to do him unfortunately!
@@ThePaintingCoach ok not to worry.
Perfect timing, my box should be here tomorrow. Cheers.

Very carful with Yndrasta! her head and back rods are shit to build.

Super helpful video!
Thanks for this.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video and awesome paint job. Inspired me soo much that I buyed this model eheheh. Will do one very similar to yours, man. 💯
Awesome 👍🏻
Excellent job! Thanks so much!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great job, as always!
Cheers mate
This is SO AWESOME!!
Thanks! Glad you like it!
You, Duncan Rhodes, and minac need to have a competition
Haha - they are much bigger fish than me!
@@ThePaintingCoach meh disagree
Haha cheers
Briliant as always.
Cheers Roger - good to hear from you - I appreciate the support!
Finally started, went brown and pink..early days
Nice - look forward to seeing it!
Hey mate, Great video. Can you give some more explanation on how you primed the miniature with the graded effect?
Thanks Alex - just spray it all black, and then grey or white from above 👍🏻
I’m not fabulous at edge highlighting, is it possible to achieve some of the similar effect of the gnashtoof flesh and such with dry brushing?
Hi Sean - you could certainly try - maybe have a go on some paper forst to practice the effect you want to get - when it comes to the flesh of the gnashtoof, there's no tight highlighting it's very messy as this adds to the organic feel
Will you paint the new Orks from the Beast Snagga box ?
Yeah if I can get a box :)
Love the video mate! Have you considered using time stamps so people returning to follow a specific part of the tutorial could skip to the bit they needed?
Thanks Alex - glad you enjoyed it! I haven't but it's something I'll have a think about! Thanks for the feedback!
Another great video
Cheers
How would you paint the Gorebeast from a Gorebeast Chariot? Having trouble figuring that part of the mini. Love your work!
Thanks Anthony - I honestly don't know - it depends on the colour you want to go with - you could dp it similar to the gnashtoof here, or check the videos I did for Cellenar, sons of behemat, glutos orscollion and lauka vai for ideas!

Great job! What white did you spray it with at the beginning, I hear different white sprays from GW have different coverages
Corax white 👍🏻
great stuff
Thanks!

Honestly I can't remember how the sprue broke down - but I think maybe the top of the rider could be separated - I should have done this 🤣
Bit late but this looks fantastic
Thanks
Man, i need advice. If i want to paint really dark, scorched metal, which paint is better? Basilicanum grey or black templar?
I'd say Black Templar thinned with medium to build up the effect - paint it the way I did the agrax earthshade on the metal here
@@ThePaintingCoach Thank you
No problem!

It will be a little darker in the overall result but should be ok - might need a few extra coats as well
Ok thank you very much ! And keep the good work
Did you planned to paint more kruleboyz heroes ?
No plans at the moment sorry
Great work in the beastie’s skin! How did u figure out this recipe? Seems compkex!
Thanks - I just tried to color match it as best I could!

Could you please do a painting tutorial on mega boss on maw krusha?
I don't have the model but if I ever do I'll be sure to do a tutorial on it 👍🏻
That's a nice size model, looks expensive though
Another great video, very helpful and have learnt a lot. I don’t suppose you’re planning on painting the killaboss on troggoth?
Thanks - glad you liked it! Unfortunately not - it's not on the schedule at the moment!
@@ThePaintingCoach sorry to keep asking, do you have any other kruleboyz projects in pipeline?
Not at the moment - maybe in the future but right now no plans
Why not .... I have time
😁👍
Good man Pablo!
@@ThePaintingCoach ☺️
Any reason you didn't paint the skin like you painted The FlashGitz skin with your airbrush? I think it looks great on these Orcs
Not sure what you mean - I can't recall doing a tutorial like that!
Ignore me, I confused your channel with RobPaintsModels.
Ah no problem!

It's easier to use the different colours for a beginner - you can of course mix anything from a small selection which would be a lot cheaper!
