That was fantastic. Brought back memories. We too did the Kakadu Air flight and I swear our pilot only looked 12 but he was excellent. Kakadu is beautiful and well worth the effort.
Thanks for your comments about previous trips to Kakadu. We also did a big country NSW to Darwin trip back in 1985 when our children were little, Kakadu, Katherine Gorge, Katherin Homestead, back through Normanton, Karumba, down to Cairnes etc and home down the Qld. coast. We live in Brisbane now and I can't wait for that big lap.
Hi guys, I just found your video's here on youtube yesterday and have been thoroughly enjoying them, you are living my dream. Keep them coming have safe travels and thanks again.
Hi!! I just recently found your channel so I’ve started from the beginning and working my way through. I’m really enjoying your videos, lovely footage and lots of good info. Such a positive and happy vibe to your channel, always smiling and finding the positives. Thanks so much and looking forward to making my way through to current 😍
we must be weird we started at episode 12 loved it sorry about the caravan break down and then went back to episode 1 up to episode 8 now thank you so much we love it KEEP GOIING.
Many thanks! This brings back some very good memories. We visited Kakadu on both our trips to Australia - in 2003 (without kids) and 2009 with our twins (who turned 4 in Coral Bay).
Thanks for sharing your journey, we love your presentation. I started at EP 6 and went through the next two, then went back to EP 1 to see the start and work our way back up to EP 6 before moving on. A couple of questions if you don't mind: 1. What camera gear are you using?; 2. You do a lot of free camping and have travelled some very challenging roads, so what facilities does your caravan have? 3. We have an old Goldstream 2001 model PT we have had for many many years but it is not suited to off road, what model is your van? We have ordered a new semi off road HT caravan for the big lap in 2024, it has an en-suite and reasonable ability for off-grid for a few days.
Hi Robert, glad you are enjoying our vids and thank you for your encouragement 🤙. To answer your questions 1/ I have a Go Pro 8. Go Pro are great cameras. You can just grab and go - and waterproof so very convenient for different situations. But they are not without their problems. It’s been replaced under warranty a couple times. So I also purchased a DJI Osmo Action camera. Very similar size and waterproof. It is also a great camera and less problems than the Go Pro. My drone is a DJI Mavic Air 2. Love it. Not too big. Light. Flys in 35kph winds. 31 minutes battery time. Can’t fault it. I’m a newby to flying - which shows how good they are 😀. 2/ Our van is a 2013 full off-road Goldstream 16’6 with combined ST; a three way fridge; Cruisemaster independent coil/shock suspension, one x 200w solar panel and a 280ah lithium battery; we don’t carry a generator; DO35 hitch; we also have a diesel heater. I think that sums us up. If you would like to know more let us know. 👍😊
Loved it! Looks amazing.
Many thanks for sharing your experiences
