Why am i hindu? Cause my religion does not want me to pray. They want me to know the joy of having tasty prasad. Pray when you feel, you need it. Vedas teach us our history and how we have lived till now. It also sets our scientific inspiration by giving accounts of vimanas. It gives us most controversial stories and does not conclude it. They leave it on us to conclude and so do about my life. I have time to think for and against the acts of our deity and weigh them. And then i am hindu. I was here first. I still am. And i will remain. I am inside my head making my own belief, no scripture , no teaching have molded it for me. I am neutral. I am hindu.
keshav kumar true but you should also pray and not forget about your religion. It’s important to remember why the food and our culture is like that. A fellow Hindu.
Most importantly, the religion where books don't divide basis believers v non-believers rather says that one's action will judge him/her and the religion that doesn't claim to be perfect having got the exclusive interview with God / prophet that no one else got.
Ok here in Vancouver there's a sikh temple and they serve Samosas for free! They have an authentic south Indian restaurant neighbouring them, with as much as 50 billion recipes for dosas too!
Aethyr Stonite Dosas are a South Indian cuisine, whereas the Sikh community is predominantly North Indian. North Indian cuisine is very different from South Indian (but they are both very tasty), so if you want authentic South Indian cuisine, you should probably find it at an authentic South Indian restaurant, since the taste of the food varies from region to region, even if it's the same kind of food. I live in East India and we have a very delicious cuisine here too, but I've never had East Indian cuisine as delicious anywhere else in India and haven't had South Indian cuisine here in the east as tasty as they make it in the south.
A Sikh temple has whats called a 'Langar', it's a free meal for anyone and everyone who wishes to come eat, the people who prep food and serve food are all volunteers. All you have to do is make your way to the kitchen and they will give you a job to do. There is no one rich or poor in a sikh temple, under that roof, everyone is an equal. In India you'll often see men and women of notable background and wealth, just cleaning the temple or serving the food, which is called 'Seva' meaning serving.

"sometimes violence is essential to destroy the evil and to restore the peace''.....but why do ppl criticize other ppl with different religion different sexual orientation different body features and complexion different tradition......its okay if you are gay lesbian straight transsexual intersex hindu Christian sikh muslim asian white black brown it does not matter as long as you are a good person

Dear North America, any Hindu temple will provide free food during their weekly programs (usually on a Sunday) for the general public as well as the congregation. Many others may offer food throughout the week or have attached restaurants that do as well. Regardless, Hindu temples do not let guests typically go empty handed; if someone is there they will at least give a free fruit or sweet or some other prasad!
Not every american is Christian or Catholic, and church attendance dwindles every year. only about 40% of Americans even go to some kind of weekly religious service.

Entity999 I had cajun potato salad at my hostel canteen for dinner today. It tastes bland, no offence
U should try Jumbalaya or Gumbo. Cause that’s like real Cajun food and trust me it’s not bland at all.
You only have salt and pepper
Why did you just assume that I’m American just cause I actually know what Cajun food is unlike an uncultured swine. And Cajun food never even uses just salt and pepper it uses loads of other spices such as thyme, paprika cayenne pepper, dried parsley, red whine, and exedra.

Bawin Victor and sikhs, jains, parsis, bhuddists and even jews... India is a gem in religions...
Of course it is. No country in this world can equal India's diversity in religion, languages and culture.

Doel Nath no the restaurant beside them
Doel Nath wait! I didn't mention that! sorry the samosas they serve it for free, but the south indian restaurant beside it serves all dosas

This is something that's pretty unique about eastern religions.. We don't want your complete submission or to follow a specific Messiah(hard to find two houses with exact same number of deities and scripture).... It's just a way of life..
This approach creates the least amount of friction.. for e.g. when budhdhism was rising in India and old Hindu order was crumbling due to corrupt practices.. King Ashoka(he's the reason budhdhism is worldwide today) commissioned caves for budhdhists, hindus, jains and even ajivikas(fatalists) & Charvakas(almost atheists)..
His devotion to budhdhism didn't lead to any sort of crusades like the 3 abhramic Faiths have been in for a 1000 years..

@@flukeyzones4976 post Vedic period included corrupt practices like priestly cast domination, rigid social structure, lowering in the status of women, superstitions, costly religious practices.. that's why Jainism & Budhdhism came into being... I eat it everyday trust me it's really good and healthier than other foods. My favourites are puttu + green peas curry, idli + sambhar, vada (love it so much) and Masala dosa
I am glad to know that this lady is publishing the indian culture and hinduism .

Serving food and water is counted as a great deed and hence many temples provide Prasad ( food) for free if you visit them...

This is really amazing...in Hinduism food itself is considered the manifestation of the divine power of the God..it is through food that we can actually get to know who or what God is.. because we can't really feel God on an empty or rather malnourished body...
I cracked when he said “varra”🤣
"Whether it as a hindu or a non-hindu..."
How beautiful...💕

Eating food like god is a huge respect to our Indian culture. ❤
A humble thank you.....
In India a lot of temples offer free delicious food. 💜
I recognize some food from when I went to Mumbai months ago. Attending conference for 2 weeks and being served authentic South Indian food everyday. Some are delicious but some of them are too overpowering for my taste. I remember the delegates from Lebanon are having a hard time eating the food, they almost cry every time.

Haha, 😂 right
as an Indian, I can confirm that this is the most Indian looking food ( and I am sure it tastes the same too ) I have seen in any video of foreign countries. I can practically taste these dishes in my mouth. if you can, def. give this place a try.
