I agree with DL. 2019-2020 G2 was something truly special. While they fell short of being the absolute best at worlds, it wouldn't surprise me if they will be the best european team ever.
I mean everyone said it in 2019. That iteration of G2 was so good because it was that specific group of people at that specific time. If you changed even one person the entire dynamic falls apart. Everyone knew that and all the EU analysts said it over and over again but they were still so surprised by 2021. 2019-2020 G2 was special for EU and its going to be incredibly hard to catch that magic again.

Its for sure not gonna happen this year or the next. They were not only cracked but also had an understanding of the game unlike none of their peers. From itemization to macro to champions, they outplayed almost everyone who played against them. Also they got along really really well. Hopefully the next western superteam is the one who wins worlds for the region, be it NA or EU

I honestly believe that no matter what this G2 team will go down as the best Western league of legends team of all time.
