So, a bajillion years ago I had something like this, but the left and right buttons were both on the top of the pen thing for use with your pointer finger. It was also in the days before laser mice, so it had a tiny little roller ball in the tip, and you had to plug it in, because wireless mice weren't a thing yet.
I've been wanting to get into digital art and design for a bit, but I've always found sketching with a mouse more difficult than a pen, I didn't know this existed
To everyone who criticized this guy for the video I'd like to say that I think you formed your opinion based on improper expectations. I found this video because I was wondering if it is possible to completely replace my mouse with a pen/stylus and what that experience would be like. Based on that criteria, this video answered my question and gave me an idea as to where the pen would fall short. I think the title of the video provides a very accurate description and is not misleading or click bait. If you were thinking of switching between a mouse and this pen then I think you misunderstood the point of the video. I think the intention was to show the experience of what it would be like to completely replace your mouse with a pen. I don't think the intention was to show how this pen ranks among other pens that are only intended to be used for drawing. Edit: If anyone knows of a pen that would work to completely replace your mouse, please reply to this comment with details of that device. I would like to try it out but I see the challenges in designing a pen that would solve the issue of knowing where the pen is once you have lifted it from the surface. Thanks.
It has the scroll wheel and DPI buttons, but you can't click it like a button on mine. There are some that look like they have a clickable center button like modern mice.
this is for secondary use.. like a sidearm.. This should never be your primary weapon unless you are in a desperate situation.. Mine is a Plima.. I have both my Logitech MX Mouse and the Plima Pen BT connected to my Macbook. The Plima is AWESOME! I love it.. i keep it in my front pocket of the flannel i usually where aroud the house and can use the Plima from 20 feet away... haven't tried further.. but pick a surface and start mousing with a pen on whim!
hey, thanks for the great video. I had never seen one of those pens before and enjoyed seeing you use it. I was especially keen on something new. i look for every single thing that might give me a fighting chance in my obsession with Medal of Honor multiplayer. those guys are straight up professional killers on Parole, lol! I have spent the last 2 years studying this game. I have messed with about everything, done surveys and interrogated good players, to limit the times I get shot in the face. I`m shopping for foot pedals, now. PS. Gym, Tan, Laundry! lol!
When you draw on paper, you look at the paper. While this may be self-evident to some, it is not to all. And touch screens are available. Costs more though. Sometimes a lot more. Personally, I feel the quality of the stylus is pivotal. It is sad that so few can approach the behavior and feel of a pencil, after a decade of "technology."
I think the main issue is that with normal pen you write then lift the pen and place it in another place and write again, if you do this the PC, the sensor, or idk, will not register the travel it did in the air, and dont know were it landed to the mousepad, so basically you will end up in the same pixel, so you need to drag as a normal mouse instead of actual lifting like a pen, so this half and half thing make the pen very bad, atleast for me, for the shell you could 3d print a one you like and put all the buttons and internals of that thing to make it comfortable
This mouse is greagt, but the battery is low for let'S say 30 minutes. It consumes to much enegry for what every reason. I think that it has a production defect. I'll create my own mouse with a 3D printer, because all the mouse that exist are shit. No mouse fits my needs, but this mouse would if it hasn't an battery comsumtion issue. Please consider that I'm using the newer version.

i read a comment from a different video where they used the pen mouse with the stand. they said that improved their experience, might be worth a try
You can work with the stand on it. This is why the stand has a hole for the optic.

Did you finally buy it? I just found them while watching for Tablet on amazon. Any review?
@semikolondev I got a XPPen StarG640 tablet instead, it's cheap and works well.
Also here to know how this works for taking notes. Not for drawing but like math notes.
How about you use that pen for uh ... writing?
is this worse than a huion or wacom pen tablet?
Thank for this

does it have middle mouse?

Please, Micheal.
How can I get this?
Blender artists rejoice
Useless like a mouse. But any good to write or to draw? "Review" doesn't help.
