If you throw a few hundred more pounds oe lead and replace any steel weights with lead so its heavier you can get the water level below the battery box. If you replaced the lead batteries with litihium, you should add lead weights to the box as well. Your water level should be a few inches above the top of the entrance. I know you would think the lighter the better but its the opposite. You need the weight to counter the pocket of air, and you need less water inside to prevent the electronics from being damaged

@@alanhinkel420things he mentioned. Fumes from the battery, oxygen from the tanks and something else he mentioned but I forget what it was.
@@dalegereaux1863 The air in the tanks is just compressed air. It’s not pure oxygen. It’s no different than the air we normally breathe.
@@alanhinkel420 I was more concerned about the bubbles he said were escaping from the battery box.
Brandon did mention that as well as whenever he had in the tanks.
@@dalegereaux1863 I think if it was a true safety hazard, he wouldn’t have done it. Brandon is a pretty safe guy.
As a submariner in the Navy, i can say this is in no way close to how we cook

It’s actually the exact same air we breathe normally. It’s just compressed down and has no risk of flammability

I was wondering why it was designed to fill halfway with water in the cabin, till I realized it's so you can swim in and out. Now that's pretty sweet. Some real tense moments right around 14:27 !! LOL

Man, that's dedication. Considering the pressure underwater whike you were using the jetboil, that water should have boiled really quick.
Uh.... no. The opposite is actually true. Under higher pressure you need to get the water hotter to boil, so it would take a little longer than normal if anything, although I'm not sure he was deep enough for it to really make a noticeable difference.

Awesome video brother. Be careful with open flame and pressurized oxygen plus co2 from flame .
It’s not pure oxygen, it’s regular air. And flames produce a negligible amount of co2. The dangerous products of combustion are CO, not co2, and HCN, hydrogen cyanide.

@@josephpinkston7045 def not pure. but either way I'm more worried about co2. per unit of propane burned, 5 units of oxygen are used and 3 units of co2 are released. unit can stand for anything and it still holds true.
point being he would die of co2 poisoning way before hypoxia or anoxia. and unless he let the gas build up unignited in the cabin and *then* struck the igniter, there wouldn't be an explosion. but if he had, the blast would be immense.

Carbon Monoxide and Hydrogen Cyanide are the only ones you need to be worried about because both of those are products of combustion and are very real. One inhibits your body's ability to absorb oxygen and the other inhibits your body's ability to transport oxygen. So basically, you have very little oxygen in your blood and your body can't even use that very little amount. Fun stuff. You have to be put in a hyperbaric chamber to survive this deadly combo. If you've ever gotten a headache from being around a fire for too long, that's hydrogen cyanide. Most likely not enough to kill you, but that's what's responsible for it.
You need more weight to submerge without having to let so much water in the cabin. The water should never be over the dash. Add enough weight you can keep the water at battery box level.
