Oh absolutely. Those tears are so unreal. I don't think she cares as much about seeing her daughter as she does trying to salvage her reputation for being somebody who lost a child in the first place and is probably more worried about her family being upset at her than anything.
They clearly can't accept the fact that the girl is soooooo lucky to be adopted by such a loving woman instead of bouncing around foster families and abused. So so lucky

It's not easy if she has a good career there and family. This was in 2016, so hopefully by now all is better and these two moved on and hopefully moved far away! Lol
It’s ridiculous that the bio family thinks they are the victims and think they have any moral high ground especially when you look at the way they behave. I don’t see the father of the bio mom and aunt anywhere the grandmother had her kids taken away by CPS twice in Florida then moved 1 of the most expensive places in the US with job or housing waiting and very little money but somehow they think their the stable ones here.
This poor child is a victim of the adoption industry and all of these toxic, nasty, self-centered losers.

This family is toxic to the core
I am a former NICU nurse. I saw many children leave the Nicu with foster parents because of poor parental decisions. It always amazed me the amount of “tummy mummies” that are surprised that their drug use, prior abuse convictions, alcohol use, lack of contact, and other things would cause them to lose the baby. It’s actually why I quit working in the Nicu. It’s incredibly heartbreaking to watch an innocent child struggle with withdrawal and other health issues and have selfish moms be combative with the nurses because of their own guilt. Also, father of the baby is verbally combative or physically threatening nurses because of a total lack of understanding as to why they’re losing the baby. That’s it in black-and-white. And these women appear to be of the same ilk. You don’t lose your baby because you went to bum cigarette. There’s WAY more background.
@karlas9961 Preach! I don't work for child protective services but I have a decade+ long career in adjacent juvenile court legal services. Child protective services actually drive me nuts with how many chances they give bio parents to clean up their lives and get their kids back. They will drag cases out for years. They also never file investigations or cases with the majority of complaints they get. I've made reports that where young girls were couch surfing with mom at every random dude that would pay mom for a good time; that a 6 year old was left home alone for 2 days; and that a family didn't have running water for weeks but protective services found all of those to not be good enough reasons to investigate. And I've worked in multiple jurisdictions, this behavior is universal.
Protective service workers do everything they can not to file a case and not to take a child away from their family. The urban legends of kids being taken at hospitals for falling off a trampoline etc. are completely bogus in my eyes. It takes A LOT for a child to be taken away, and bio family had to blow A LOT of opportunities for parental rights termination and adoption to occur. People like these women just don't understand the concept of accountability. That this happened because of their choices, not the court, not the foster family, not the protective service workers.
They just proved the point of why that child is adopted now, no self control, no kindness, no care for the words they use and calling the adoptive mother a fraudster... how unfortunate, at this point if I was in the adoptive mother's shoes my trust will be Cero.
To bring up her divorce and blasting her on social media, that is some low down trash behavior. That woman adopted that baby. She has zero obligation to the bio mom and grandmother. She doesn't deserve any of that treatment.

I literally laughed out loud when she tried to bring up her divorce. As if that has anything to do with her being a good mother or not. And her style too? Seriously? These women are obviously envious of her.
So the Grandma & girl in the audience tried to put down the adoptive mother, why didn't they step up for this little girl, smh calling the adoptive mother names, They should be thanking her for keeping her granddaughter out of the system.

One cannot adopt a child as a homeless person, that's just common sense. The grandmother cannot hold a job down. And the mother and aunt had not finished school, and the mother has mental health issues. They did not have a fit situation for the child, on several levels.

As soon as it was said that "Olivia's been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder", you just know it's going to be bad and the stalking, triangulation, smear campaign was next on the cards.

Maybe, but she's in pain because she's lost family. That is an extremely painful thing to go through, and she's emotional about it. The way Jyllian is handling it is throwing gasoline on an already big fire.
These ladies are delulu! The STATE took that child away NOT her adoptive mother! Not only that the GMA has A LOT of nerve bc the STATE obv didn’t think she was suitable enough either otherwise they would’ve placed the child w her instead of a stranger! They're not thinking of the child. The foster mom is. Speaking negatively about someone who is raising your child is the wrong approach.
I remember this episode and i was SO frustrated with Olivia, her mom, and her sister.
-- Dr. Phil should have shut Phoebe down the second she opened her mouth or invited her to the stage.
-- CPS and the judicial system doesn't just up and take someone's kid because they went to bum a smoke. If that were the case, then I would have been taken from my parents.
-- To me, it's INCREDIBLY TELLING WHY the family court system didn't place E with her auntie or nana. Both are reactionary, volatile people.
-- Honestly, reunification shouldn't have even happened in my opinion. Bio family DOES NOT care about what is in the best interest of the child, they're acting what's in the best interests of Olivia. That's the biggest concern here: Evelyn.
-- Jyllian and Dr. Phil are the only two people thinking of this little girl. And it's pathetic.
If it were me, I would make a deal with Olivia. Get clean and stay clean, find a job and get some money coming in, get a car, a place of her own, and therapy, and then we will attempt to revisit and see what we can do with supervised visits. With the caveat that Grandma is not allowed to take part in ANYTHING involving E.

And not every child or even an adult has to or needs to be with their biological family, especially if they're toxic, unstable, mentally, and even financially. The child will never be sent back to the biological mom. After she's 18 years old, it'll be her choice. You can't make anyone go back to a family that had their child taken away because of their unstable life. This mom and daughter are plain nuts and it's the biological mom who lost her baby, it's her own fault. The child will have a much better life with the new mother.

I have empathy for the birth mother, but this story makes me furious. The things that this family did to this woman who gave the child an AMAZING home and love is despicable. 1. The family (sister and mom) were not able to take custody of the child because cps didn't approve them either because they were homeless. 2. This girl could have been put in foster care and bounced around families and abused her whole life. Instead she got a mother who loves her as of she birthed her. They have no idea how lucky they are that the child was adopted and not in foster care

If parental rights are terminated, and child is ADOPTED out, its not like foster care, YOU DONT GET YOUR CHILD BACK! your child now has a new family. Bumming a cigarette does not qualify to lose parental rights. It takes sooo much more. Clearly the incubator has issues that make her unfit to raise the child. Instead of them going after the adoptive mother they need to look at the incubator, and hold her responsible for her actions that caused her to lose the child.

The "tummy-mummy" is a better actor than Amber Heard, but not so much that it makes a practical difference. When you cry your eyes out, wiping floods of tears of your face after screaming crying, it often is some type of liquid involved. Maybe she cry crystals? The "tummy-grandmummy" and the "tummy-aunty" cry liquid tears, so one would think they all would. It is obvious that "tummy-grandmummy" and "tummy-aunty" is way more emotionally invested in this child than the "tummy-mummy".

This is why most people who adopt don't let their adoptive children see the biological parents. They just add too much baggage and drama. It is not her fault that she adopted this child legally. That is her right.
No case to answer. The authorities deemed the biological mother was unfit and they obviously didn’t think the family were suitable to adopt or care for the child. This should not be on a tv show.

The day will come when that little girl will grow up and she will decide who she wants to know who she wants to see and my guess is that she’s going to want to be a part of her biological mother and her family. Adoptive mother feels threatened right now, but she might soften later.
The fake crying from the mom and aunt are just over the top. That family are all emotionally immature and unstable. I hope there is some healing for everyone involved especially counseling for that poor child stuck in the middle of this.
There is so much more to this story that isnt being told. CPS does not just sever reunification attempts and allow a foster parent to adopt without just cause. This was NOT over a cigarette.
If I was the adoptive mother I would not allow the biological family to she the child, they are vindictive hateful people and can't be trusted. She has a loving stable home and If they love that child they need to back off and let her have the life that they obviously couldn't give her.

This baby's biological mother gave the baby up if they've had the baby over a year at least. Thank God someone took your child in and she didn't stay in an orphanage. They're very ungrateful about that woman that took the baby in and took care and bonded together, while the real mom is sitting home doing nothing until she wants to adopt the baby. Crying with no tears, she doesn't deserve to be around that child, nor any other family members. I would take my child and move out of state and let my adopted daughter seek them out when she turns 18, if she so desires. Those are some nasty, vindictive people.
