    New electronics are a godsend for the majority of of people who buy 200+ bhp motorbikes.

    • @tHaH4x0r
      @tHaH4x0r Рік тому +4

      The majority of people who end up buying 200+ bhp machines use them to ride to/from the starbucks, or perhaps just try to go fast in a straight line. I think a relatively small amount of people would actually take it on track, and an even far fewer amount actually is able to come to the limits where these kinds of rider aids would be of benefit.

      Hahaha why buy 200+ bhp just for electronics package to neuter it anyways,, just buy a 40bhp bike without any electronics so you dont waste that 160+ bhp and of course no need to say your wallet will gonna thank you for it

    I've got a 2022 s1000rr and it is mind blowingly fast or to put it into the words of my best friend and the only other person I trust on my bike,
    It is violently fast.
    To think that they have improved on it is insanity in the most awesome of ways 😁
    Keep it coming BMW.

      I have a 2017 S1000R, and even that is violently fast. Whenever I take it to the track and use my meagre skill set to try to exploit a bike I have done over 55000km on, it still amazes me. The 23 RR and MR are on another level.

      I wouldn’t agree i get my Suzuki GSXS-1000 modified to about 165 rear wheel hp. Sliding into corners and sometimes exiting them on a road section called the loop by locals on Vancouver Island B.C. Canada when me and my brothers are on there bikes doing the same thing granted we started riding motorcycles at around 10 years old!

    • @marcusgeorge1825

      @@Viking7771 Seriously, wow you can back in a bike on the streets. Well done. This technology is designed for the race track. Where the pro’s will back a bike in and slide it out to improve lap times. This technology just makes it a bit easier. I stick by my percentages considering I’m an ex Australian Superbike racer, who started riding at 4, some 45 ish years ago. I don’t back bikes into corners on the streets as apart from it being dangerous, their really isn’t any need. These bikes will be mainly purchased by race teams who will strip them all down and rebuild anyway. Hence the small %. Think about it.

    A fascinating video on rider aids on the track.
    I'm particularly interested in how cornering ABS can promote safety on the road and, while BMW have produced at least one video on this, I think Bennetts could do more showing off this amazing feature.
    Demonstrating this on the track for safety of course, how about both drone and GoPro shots with a running commentary showing how cornering ABS 'corrects' the path of a bike particularly coming (accidentally!) too fast into a corner or at mid-corner simulating an unexpected hazard in real-life?

      WSBK and Motogp riders rely on rider aids now to be the most competitive they can be. If it wasn't worth having, they wouldn't use them.

    • @brianglendenning1632
      @brianglendenning1632 Рік тому

      Another perspective…the rider aid let you grow in to the bike. Bought my 17 s1000r as a second bike, after a learner restricted SV650. It’s (by modern standards primitive, but for then probably leading) rider aids let me grow in to the bike. provided a wide safety envelope as I adjusted to another level of performance, let me ride a bike with that performance is some dreadful condition, and let me explore my limits on the track (as low as they were and are albeit higher now). That said I doubt more than a handful of riders who buy these will ever attain the skills to find the limits of the 23 rr, but it is about their limits.
