Fun fact: RP-C9901 was the first A321-200 delivered to Philippine Airlines it also did not have have sharklets when it was first delivered and was retrofitted the following year!
I flew with Philippine Airlines last month and I must say I was very impressed with the professionalism and hospitality of the cabin crew. Some of the best flight attendants in the industry.
Sorry about the camera that got stolen! (If I remember correctly, a story was posted on Instagram saying that a camera used to film Tripreports was stolen)
They use A321-200 during day ops because it is noisy. Then at night ops they are utilizing A321 NEO because of its quietness. I observed this when I flew months back when my DVO-MNL morning flight was A321-200 then my return was an A321NEO. They have different cabin config.
Wow, miss flying Philippine Airlines! Last time I flew them was early 2017 MNL-HND which I think was an A330. Hope to do a trip report myself soon. Impressed by your Filipino caption at the end :) - Red
Yes! A Philippine Airlines review I just flew on it domestic last week on that very aircraft RP-C9901 on seat 64k! The seat just behind you! The flight got delayed due to weather conditions we had to loop around 4 times during flight.
@@jonathanlua5 Oh wait! I know you! You filmed too in your phone and camera! There was a slight turbelence too in the flight I felt like the plane dropped down a couple of feet.
Hi david, thanks again for featuring Philippine Airlines to your youtube channel, hope that soon on your future trip report, you may try to ride the new Airbus A330-900neo of Cebu Pacific they mostly used this aircraft to and from Dubai route🙏😇
We flew Philippine airlines from Los Angeles to Kuala Lumpur via Manila on a 777 on August 19. But when we were going back we missed our flight but now they said there was a severe turbulence that injured 8 people
@@ivanbaguio2479 There's no direct flight from LA to KL. He mentioned a stop over in Manila. There are 4 airlines serving the Manila to Kuala Lumpur route. These are Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific Air, Malaysia Airlines, & Air Asia.
After flying with no-frills airlines eg Jetstar pre-pandemic,I chose Singapore and Philippines airlines this year. Will now only book no-frills airlines as throwaway flights.
I've flown on the A321 with Philippine Airlines on a route between Manila and Singapore back in 2016. I'm just here to observe this interior while remembering that there wasn't an in-flight entertainment system on their A321.
For domestic and short regional flights (such as Hong Kong), they are fine, but for flights longer than that they are outdated, especially when compared to foreign carriers.
It's good to see you again flying with Philippine Airlines! That's the old cabin. I also hated it. The new cabin are more spacious and comfortable. Try it next time!
Oh wow! I noticed that at the baggage area the passengers can easily pick their luggage so the ground crew decided to put the handling of luggage in front. Just like japan airport 👍🏼 good job PAL
Oh! I saw an A321 Philippine airline land while I was at terminal 3-4 during that time, I did see them park at the gate you just exited at, I was there when you landed lmao.
They looks olds seats of but Philippines 🇵🇭 airlines pilots are the best!! Smooth take off and landing and Philippines airlines were the oldest airlines in fareast Asia mabuhay,, 🙄
Aww, kinda missed out on their newer cabins on their a330s or even the newer a321neos. Nonetheless, still a good flight. Final part definitely gives you an insight regarding the age of the terminal.
I did flew with pal lhr-mnl a350 it seems the cabin crew is unfriendly with their own kababayan only when it comes to a foteigner they are so very nice and kind, that why we never fly with them, and stoll choosing SQ
Fun fact: RP-C9901 was the first A321-200 delivered to Philippine Airlines it also did not have have sharklets when it was first delivered and was retrofitted the following year!
Got it! I always wondered why it didnt have sharklets before 🙂
i was on that flight
Wow that is old
Thanks for this!
@@jimboyarab1072 Only 9 years old next year will turn 10 as it was delivered to PAL in 2013!
I flew with Philippine Airlines last month and I must say I was very impressed with the professionalism and hospitality of the cabin crew. Some of the best flight attendants in the industry.
Glad to have a trip report on PAL after 4 years! PAL should take a look into this trip report.
Great flight. Sometimes older seat give more comfortable than newer seat.

Hi, I also rode RP-C9901 domestic last week but in his seat, 63K, in bad weather! Was your flight PR1816?
@@jonathanlua5 Yes indeed! It was PR1816!
@@jonathanlua5 Oh wait! I know you! You filmed too in your phone and camera! There was a slight turbelence too in the flight I felt like the plane dropped down a couple of feet.
What route is this? Last week I had 5J flight naman and we looped 4 times also 😁
@@MJFan-fv8pm Yeah the sudden drop was scary! It wasn’t helped by the severe shaking of the plane right before the drop 😨.
That landing was butter
Thailand and Cebu Airport in Philippines have similar designs in their gates.
3:49 6 hour a321 is amazing Once I travel in Saudi Arabian airlines 🤪 in economy class
That has to be the most gentle landing I've ever seen.

I would fly with Thai Airways to Bangkok and throughout Thailand. Like Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Samui, Phuket, and Hat Yai or Krabi Thailand.
i love that you take public transit

Philippine Airlines is back lol. I also see a British Airways Airbus A380 on 11:18. Regardless, have fun in the Philippines David!
they still have a lot of those old a321s for short domestic flights, kinda surprised to see one deployed for an international flight.
For domestic and short regional flights (such as Hong Kong), they are fine, but for flights longer than that they are outdated, especially when compared to foreign carriers.
