Thank you so much for an honest review! Our situation is PEOPLE with long hair, not pets and our old Eufy was just awful in this regard, every single use had to cut the hair off the roller brush. Seems this model does not help with long hair. Thinking of looking at the roborock now with a dual brush design. Too many fake reviews on youtube, yours is legit.
I just did a video on the Q8 Max Plus Wirth dual rollers. ua-cam.com/video/5L7VG33BiWw/v-deo.htmlsi=_Ly6Z5Mdd_eJQfvV The fake reviews have really grown recently. Sad to see, but it pushes me to keep making real reviews with real tests. Thanks!
@@jamie.andrews Yes, thank you for the review. I actually already watched it along with about 10 of your other reviews. I'm not sure if any of these will really avoid long hair tangles and from what you've said the single roller models seem to work better on hard surfaces. Our old one, a Eufy 30C max worked quite well except for hair on the roller brush but the unit finally died (and I took it apart to make sure it wasn't a clog). What we're really looking for is a straight up vacuum, no mopping but preferably a self emptying station and minimal hair wraps around the main brush. Tempted to just get what we had and deal with cutting hair off but thought we should try a dual design. Thanks again for all the great reviews.
@@robwasnj even rollers that resist hair wraps still get hair wrapped around the axles. That means you still have to pull them out of the unit to clean them so you might as well cut hair off of a roller while you are at it.
Thank you for your comprehensive robot vac and mop reviews. Could you suggest which device would be more suitable for a home with a mixture of fitted carpets and vinyl flooring.eg. Kitchen and bathrooms vinyl the rest fitted carpet. Mid pile and one colour. I currently have the Roborock Qrevo S which is good on mopping but not suited to fitted carpets. Thanks in advance.
Love to see this vs Roborock s8+. Which do you recommend?. Thanks for the review. I feel like you covered more cons, which I like. So many other reviewers are sponsored or got a free one so they rave about everything. Thanks!
The S8+ has a good bit more features and is also several hundred more than this unit. The S8+ also has a lifting vibrating mopping pad and real object avoidance. I will have my review out for the Q8 Max+ in a few weeks which does more directly compete with this unit so stay tuned for that video. A ton of people on UA-cam are being paid to say what the manufacturer's want which imo is a form of deception. I never take money from manufacturers so my reviews are my own and honest.
I have this vac and 3 dogs. One dog is a German Shepherd with very thick shedding hair. This robot does better than any other I've had before. The brush cleaner runs amazingly well. I do have it set to empty every 30 minutes, which I think helps. I've run it every day for 2 weeks and have not needed to clean the brush, which is unheard of. The one issue I had was that the first few cleanings would not empty. It kept telling me the base bag was full which it was not. What was happening was the dog hair was clumping up and blocking the extraction port in the vacuum. So I had to empty it manually. So when a dog is blowing it's coat this is going to be a problem but compared to the previous Eufy I had and several older Irobobts this is a massive improvement. I'm considering the S1 as I would like something that can actually mop. But I worry the dog hair won't be as good. Maybe use both?
It might work better with dog hear, but with people hair it does not work well. I have 2 long haired girls in my house, but no dogs. The S1 is certainly a better mop. You could send the X8 out to vacuum followed by the S1 Pro.
I cant atand this vacuum, not only did it drag dog poop all over my home twice, one of the wheels somehow broke and now it gets stuck going over any surface that isnt flat.
@@jamie.andrews Yeah, eufy app is amazing and they continue to innovate and improve for sure, but I feel like the decisions that were made for this one just wearing great. The gears are so obnoxiously loud, and the rubber material that the wheels are made out of constantly makes noises on the floor when it shifts. Thankfully eufy has sent out the X10 Pro Omni so that will be in my home cleaning tomorrow.
If you may help my with an opinion, I have 2 cats and in considering investing in a dream l10s ultra ori just bot one of those eufy(l60 or x8 pro), I don’t know if I really need the moping sistem but I want something perfect for cat hair
I kinda want this because I do have a dog and I have 2 houses and the 25C I had at one of them jsut died so I may get this for my bigger house and take my LR20 to my other one
@@jamie.andrews i will, cans really test the anti brush tangle part because my puppy has ridiculously short hair, not a single vacuum in my collection has ever got his hair stuck in the roller

Any recommendations for a budget SES that does remove the dreaded long human hair curse?
Great review, just got this robot . Waiting for it to deliver!

Keep an eye on this channel as I am about to release something new and well suited for carpets.

How about eufy l60, how is it performing?
I have not tested that model.
how do you make it do multiple mop/vacuum passes ? -great review i actually just purchased one :)

Oh no. Not good.

Why is there so much dog poop in your house to drag around?
It would be great to see a review of the shark detect pro robot vacuum
Do you have a review of the Eify X9 pro?
No, maybe soon.
Will you get a chance to review the Dyad Pro Combo?
I am sure I will soon.
is there video for ecovacs x2 omni coming soon ?
It will be out later in November.
This one vs Roborock Qrevo vs Roborock S8+. Which one do you recommend? Do you have a video on these compared together?
I have not tested the S8 Plus yet. The Q Revo is a lot more advanced so it is not a fair comparison. I would still go with Roborock over this though.
Would you recommend a Silver Ion Module for the QREVO? @@jamie.andrews
Is this better then l60 hybrid?

I have not tested that model so I can not comment.
Don't get one with a brush that has bristles on it.
You should review the eufy x9 pro
I am considering it.
You do a great job with reviews. Keep up the good work.👍🏼

My pleasure!
How long does the battery last on its highest suction power?
Not long but it is not something I test either. I tested in standard mode and got between 60 and 80 minutes.

I just got it. It does manage to get dog and cat hair well, and struggles with human hair.
Wish this had obstacle avoidance for the price
It does have it, but it is so basic it is almost like it does not.
