You really should get a recirculating pump if you test toilets out and frequently flush them. Not only will you save you a ton of water, especially this particular water guzzler, but it will also not mess up your lawn or patio.
@@cameraredeye3115 agreed! Imagine your lawn dying, only to learn the cause was “over watering”. And imagine you water bill being, oh I don’t know…$5000 a month with that thing installed? Jeez, I would be broke
The tank is literally big enough for an Olympic Swimming Pool - that aside this toilet did well despite the flush being a little slow (took all the items even though it struggled on the grocery bag/washcloth together and there was a slight hesitation taking the dishtowel). The bowl rinse is alright (could do a little better) but the clearance is great (would not expect anything less than great with the amount of water this toilet uses). I will rate this a 7.5/10 👍
@Virginian Toilets And Restroom Tours It is the biggest tank I own, even bigger than a 40s Wellworth tank. I'll have to measure the water usage sometime.
I thought toilets had to be 3.5 gpf or less by the 1980’s? Were wall mounted tank toilets an exception back then like blowout toilets are an exception from the 1.6/1.28 gpf water laws today?
@@OCC_Plumbing_and_Restorations I also forgot to say that if you were to install this. Two things could happen it can overflow easily and your water bill could go up
@@OCC_Plumbing_and_Restorations oh. Oh by the way, this was the original toilet to my current house, with the golden logo. It was replaced with a pressure assist glenwall
@@OCC_Plumbing_and_Restorations well, I clogged it once at 5 years old with legos, I know, I was a kid so yeah. Then we replaced it since it couldn’t take the clog anymore(we tried literally everything and nothing changed), and it was smashed to pieces, the glenwall is ok, but the pressure assist is pretty useful with hard water(no water softener at my current house)

@@OCC_Plumbing_and_Restorations Good choice tbh, i have a flapper in my Rev. 360 Elliston and it’s flawless, doesn’t clog and haven’t had to double flush
I agree completely, this is just ridiculous. American Standard managed to make one that didn't use an absurd amount of water so I'm sure Kohler can do the same. They were probably just too lazy.
Looking back at this video, I can see how much this thing is an absolute garbage fire. 7-8 gallons of water for a toilet that can barely pass a washcloth and grocery bag?! This thing is a pathetic waste of space
That toilet performed really well
For the amount of water it uses, I would expect it should.
Alternate title: Olympic swimming pool tests
XDD
Lol this deserves the pinned comment lol

Agreed. This thing takes about 7 gallons of water with every flush. Most other toilets easily get away with half of that at most...

Flush rating is an A
Performance rating is an A
Bowl rinse rating is a B
This toilet overall did well
I absolutely love that thing! But that's a bit much water usage even for me!
That trapway is nice and round. I always liked those kind.🙂
They remind me of Penryns
Agreed
This is such an AMAZING toilet!
It will take everything you put in it!
I love these! Tank on wall mounted bases is cool.
Put that tank on a wellworth lite😂
Alternative name for this toilet, Kohler guzzler
That would be hilarious
Amazing toilet. I still however prefer glenwalls over these.
I do too, even though these are harder to clog
I hope to find one of these BEASTS soon!!! 😁
That would be sweet!
Awesome I love these
Toilet has a Excellent flush
I wish you could use a PA tank. not only will you save water, but you don't have to wait for the tank to fill up.
It would just make the surface of the water move a little
I like those handles. Overall amazing toilet.
I just wish it used less water
Amazing toilet and amazing flush, the water usage is a bit ridiculous
Ye this is about 7 gpf...
@Virginian Toilets And Restroom Tours It is the biggest tank I own, even bigger than a 40s Wellworth tank. I'll have to measure the water usage sometime.
Does this use 5 or 7 gallons?
7 for sure
I would love to see it on a flushometer.
is this tank as big as the 70's wellworths? Or 40's?
I think it's bigger than the 40s and 70s Wellworth tanks
I wonder how this toilet would flush if it was on flushometer.
Probably a bit better
This is a great toilet and an awesome performer, but how much water does it use? 70s toilets use about 5gpf, but this is a 80s one.
Even though this is from the 80s, it still uses more than the 70s ones.

When I’m doing something that takes 1 min 11 minutes go by but when I’m waiting for a tank to fill it fells like 11minutes goes by in that 1 minute
Yeah, it feels like forever. Especially when you have one of these.
It did better then what I was expecting it to do.
It took everything just fine but it used a lot of water to do it.
@@OCC_Plumbing_and_Restorations how much water?

Awesomely and I love these Kohler toilets and it flushes excellent
It moves everything through like its supposed to.
❤❤❤ I love these Cauygt Kohler Toilets and I also like the way it flushes
Ugh The flush o meter but the rest AWSOME!

Too much
@@OCC_Plumbing_and_Restorations holy crap. i just figured out that it uses around 7. holy
3.5 gpf

It’s 7 gallons per flush actually

LMAO
I love this toilet but I respect ypur opinion.

I used a stopwatch and timed the flush and its 19 seconds

Kohler is good at making toilets that use a TON of water but have underwhelming flushes.

I’ve seen a video of this clogging a washcloth
I haven't
What a waste of 7 gallons. It struggled on a washcloth and grocery bag!
Then the Class Fives come along with their 1.28 gallons and take it like nothing. But they have their own problems.
The rev. 360 did perfectly on the washcloth+grocery bag
