I have 1975 Mansfield Mohican toilets in my apartment the one is the master bath has blocked rim jets making it sluggish and the one in the half bath has a damaged fill valve but has a better flush
My grandma had one pretty much identical to this, except hers was a 1964. She replaced it back in 2020 with a comfort height Gerber toilet since she needed something taller and elongated since she was getting older. We're still stuck with that abomination of a "toilet" too.
Epic toilet as always! The flush valve/flapper looks exactly like the one I remember in the Days Inn Motel in Florida on the first US trip I took when I was a little kid (my dad took the tan lid off to show me the inside and the differences to UK toilet tanks - i.e. the flush mechanism used as back then UK tanks used Flush Pistons which is a U-bend tube with a floating spring loaded piston on one side which when operating the flush handle (or chain on high tanks) pulled up the piston with a small body of water above the flapper part of the piston and as it pulled the water above the top bend in the tube then began a siphoning of the tank which lifts the flapper (as it is sprung) as the piston itself falls back down. Once tank is empty the flapper lowers to seal the opening of the piston siphon tube. UK toilets now use Flush Valves (the first was in the late 1990's but now standard since 2010) - either button operated (like some of your current gen US toilets - some of ours also use cable air filled valves which as the button(s) is pressed it shoots air through a cable to lift the valve mechanism for the respective flush - full or half flush) or handle operated (cable air filled as with the button version but pressing down the handle for full flush and lift up for the half flush). The current gen of replica high tanks uses either a Flush Piston (the only type that still does - there are dual flush pistons now where you have to hold the chain down - or handle on retrofitted earlier Low Tank or Tank Top examples for the half flush) on lever arm with chain or a Cable Air Filled Flush Valve on a handle with a solid rod with chain pull (to operate the two flush settings by pushing the rod up for the half flush)!
True as the shipping costs would be astronomical and it may get damaged in transit if not packaged properly! Hence why there are only a small number of US manufactured toilets imported to the UK from the States (ONLY the very wealthy can afford to as the shipping costs are prohibitive for the rest of us).
Wish you could do this terlit and Plebe flushes side by side so we can see the differences between them. It appears that the Plebe siphon jet is closer to the trapway than in the Cadet. I d/k about the size of the siphon jet hole, shape, and rim jet differences.
@@OCC_Plumbing_and_Restorations my toilet uses 1.28 gallons per flush and I think has a tiny tiny bit smaller trap but it still beat this cadet. It can pass all tests
To be honest, I think the old toilets are much better than today's toilets.
Absolutely
@@OCC_Plumbing_and_Restorations Yep, even better than the best low flow toilet ever (Kohler Ingeniums)!
@@alecfrancis628 Most of them are
You are correct!

That toilet deserves an encore! Bravo!!👌👏👏👏
Agreed
I wish I have one of those toilets because I love that flush
They're amazing
good old toilet
3:28 XD the sound of the jets when it was about to overflow sounds hilarious
I [CENCORED] hate the new modern toilets that don't even have a good bowl rinse
Same, that's why I prefer these oldies.

That really sucks. These are amazing toilets.
Wow it didn't disappoint me once 10/10
Yeah, these are awesome
Absolutely legendary!
Ikr!
Excellent toilet! You've gotten pretty good at predicting what these things are gonna do.
Yep, I have some experience lol

I'd like to get a UK toilet but there isn't really much way of doing that

Awesome Cadet.

Cadet is flawless
Especially since it even has a glazed trapway too

The Plebe trapway is also a very interesting shape. I bet that's why it performs so well.
Flush rating is an A
performance rating is an A
These are a true classic
Clogged siphon jet rating is a B+
I like it when toilets can flush out with a clogged siphon jet
I had 2 of these in my old house
Amazing!
Bowl rinse rating is an A-
These have some of the best flushes
The cadets are a legendary toilet.
Agreed
Awesome!

Which do you think will do better on tests? 1960s gothic logo AS Cadet or Kohler Ingenium?
What happened to the Kohler Elliston Revolution 360? The one with the circular trapway, is there will be a video of it?
It will be posted very soon!
It might overflow if you try a clogging siphon jet test on a high tank
It probably would. My elongated one did.
@@OCC_Plumbing_and_Restorations ok
I’m expecting this to do very well!
(Ace every test)
Edit 1: didn’t. Clogged on the grocery bag and a washcloth.
Oh well, that's a pretty big test anyway.

Impressive
I believe my grandma has a toilet like this but its by beam or bimis beamis or something (i cant remember the brand)
Bemis makes toilet seats
Awesome. Bemis is the brand name on the seat though, the name on the toilet would be in the same place as this one.
These suction sounds are wierd.
I like it
best toilet ever! can you do peformance test on your universal rundle citations
I don't have a Citations anymore but I did tests on one before I got rid of it.
