This is cool to see again; she also appeared on the Johnny Carson and Mike Douglas shows back in the '70s, and did a co-interview with Bowie himself with Rona Barrett, but those ones still haven't surfaced.

The audio of her interview and singing debut on the Mike Douglas show are available on the internet. Still haven’t found the Rona or Carson tapes yet either.

Doesn't seem as though she's ever given any credit in helping get his career off the ground. In any case, she has every right to tell her own life story. And she also looks very beautiful here.

Yes I thought this was really great how she looked here and I wish she had continued with that kind of appearance but I also wish she had worked on her voice and had it much more feminine and toned down .
I feel so sad for her the way she got screwed over after doing so much for David's career early on and you're right as it appears that so many people still don't want to give her the credit

People are too busy obsessing over Bowie to a nauseating degree to acknowledge that he was a p0s to a lot of people. And even when they acknowledge that they're sugarcoating it.

I believe every word she has ever said about her relationship with David Bowie and helping his career .
As much as I love David Bowie it makes me so sad the way he treated her when they were splitting up and that she got such a small amount of money compared to what she really should have been paid .

    • @gardensofthegods

She looks really great here elegant with Maury Povich .
I just wish so much she had worked on her voice .
I never heard of anybody coming from a Swiss finishing school who had such a rough voice .
How she worked on her voice she would have come across as so much more attractive and classy ... and regrettably I think she would have come across as more believable because I know some people don't believe what she says about how much she helped his career but I believe every word she has said and that if it wasn't for the likes of her I don't believe his early success would have happened the way it did ... she really suckled , nursed and nurtured his career

The woman in the audience who asked what Angie does besides be David's ex wife, kinda pissed me off. I don't think she realizes how important Angie was in actually getting David to where he wanted to be, in those early years. Then to find out that David had Angie blacklisted so she couldn't work in the same industry. I bet Angie would've never even written a tell-all if it weren't for that. Am I an Angie fan per se? No, she seems like the type of person you can only stomach in small doses, but David did do her dirty and I say this as someone who genuinely LOVES David.

The people who worked with David Bowie loved her and credited her with pushing him to reach his goals. They were a real team in the beginning. Read the recent books written about Bowie after he died. They detail how important she was to him. She's very ebullient, that's her way.

Perhaps you should listen to the free audio book here called Backstage Pass .
I think when one hears that and realizes it's probably all true , one gets a clear picture of how much she helped his career early on .
I think she kind of got screwed over by David Bowie as much as I love him and it makes me sad for her .
You know he put her under a gag order for 10 years after they split up where she was not allowed to say anything about him or their relationship and she was not allowed to write anything about it .
Plus as someone who had a career in marketing especially in the music industry and in the music industry and then getting black balled and not being able to find work ... think of how hard that must have been for her ... try putting yourself in those shoes and you will see how incredibly painful that must have been😢

If she was an American wife she would have gotten half of Bowie's fortune - half of what he made during their marriage. Community property laws.

David Bowie once famously said that being married to Angie was like living with a blowtorch. The audience appears to see her in a similar light. The book as a summary of her years with Bowie - a bit sleazy.

    Definitely a Gold Digger..

I don't recall anybody ever saying that what was in her autobiography wasn't true .
I believe it's absolutely true that she did nurse and nurture his early career ... and without the success that she helped guarantee for him , it's really quite possible he just would have been a flash in the pan ; as hard as it might be for you to believe that .
Enough research proves how quickly he changed after being involved with her and how much he grew .
Credit should be given where it should go .
As much as I love David Bowie , some are afraid to talk about what a user he could be .
Regrettably she has that very rough voice ... it doesn't help her at all .
Picture if she had the most feminine and loveliest voice imaginable . No she was not a gold digger and I hope someday you will at least give her the justice of learning more about what she did for his career .

An audiobook of her autobiography is here for free and it's called Backstage Pass .
It's actually very good and although I did not need to hear about everybody's sexual lives , one gets a real picture of what was really going on with his career and how it happened .

What a bunch of jerks were in that audience. They had no clue what the music business was all about or how David Bowie used all the people around him. He also discarded Mick Ronson & The Spiders from Mars band after they made him a big star. He proceeded to do that to all the people around him during his career. He was not a nice person as that guy Lee said, it was all an act. David was out for David. He was very talented but he wasn't very nice.

Something is very peculiar and off with this woman.
If you watch an older interview she speaks like Mrs Howell from Gilligans island which really shows she must have a twisted mind as she doesn’t continue to speak in that absurd manner in any later interviews.

I am s Boeie fan, late in the game...primarily discovering " his greatness" and his vast catalog after his death..I am an admirer..To me however,I wish these things 1. that he could have st least acknowledged that his ex-wife had a significant part in his early career 2. that he and his ex-wife at least loved or had some affection for each other when they decided or brought Duncan, their son in the world 3. that he would have tried to have a closer relationship with his own mother 4. that he would have encouraged his son and ex wife to have a relationship.
Angie should stop all the talking and tradhing etc...but she is stll carrying the hurt...and she is largely"ignored"
I feel that Duncan dhould make an effort to reconnect,...he has children..who it would be nice to know their actual grandparent..after all Angie does exist.
As I stated, she gets no credit in David Bowies life..and there are many people who acknowledge her existence,i.e. Tony,Dana,Susie Ronson( look them up)...not to mention tons of pictures of David and Angie together as well and with their son.
These are just some of my observations..and I will remain a David Bowie fan
One last point: An old adage: "The first wife paves the way for those that come after to glide through and reap all the love and rewards"
    Blessings!

Notice here when the audience was clapping and it was starting to get louder after Angie had said something back to the English school teacher , that he just wanted to continue with trying to interview the guy in the audience instead of allowing the people who were clapping and cheering to really show their support for her .

  • @jewelzb1402

David Bowie didn’t need to stop this woman as she exposed herself. Her success was completely dependent on another persons success, and she still failed miserably to obtain anything remotely successful even exploiting that she was once married to Bowie. those with a even shred of intelligence, see her for exactly what she is.
Yes, its sad, but whats even worse is she abandoned their son and never wanted to see her own son even after Bowie passed.
In an interview the person said “My dream for you is that your son gets in contact with you.” and Angie’s reply was: “Oh no, thank you though, I appreciate it.”
Thats about all one needs to know to surmise just how awful this woman is.
