I watched this with ear buds and legit shouted “Holy FUCK” when that thunder hit so I can’t even imagine what it must have sounded like right there and then!

I heard thunder for about five minutes that evening. After that I decided to start taking footage just in case something got even louder. I hit the jackpot.

We had a few after it rained. It seemed to have traveled around the perimeter of our 1 acre. I'm in a sound proof home. It was so loud that I jumped. The whole house rumbled. This was 2 days ago. I couldn't sleep. It was that scary. It happened between 3 and 4 am. I wish I thought to record it. 😕
I also forgot to mention I live in South Central Texas.

Thanks for the comment. I have never been to Texas. I was lucky to catch the loud thunder on video even though the weather that night was hinting that something big might show up.

You can see the camera vibrate from the sheer force of the shockwave. I'm surprised this didn't blow the windows out.

1:09 is a near direct hit from a positive charged CG. A 100+ Ka which is extremely rare!

There was a very loud thunder clap before I started filming and that made me think ' can I get on tape something like what I just heard. What you see and hear on the video is 100 times bigger than what made me start filming.

@@TheWinston7777 a two second delay between the strike, and by the time the shockwave reaches you. That puts it about 2 miles away from you if that.

If you ask me that has to be well over 100kA. More like 400 kA+
      That was very intense

Gros Boum Étrange C’est Une Importante Charge Sonique Qui A Proviqué Un Boum Tremblant De Terre Par Résonance En Réponce C’est Avec Les Météores Une Déchirure De Plus Du Ciel Je Pensais Qui Explosion Deraillent Train Ou Decrassement D’avion At 1:07 Weird Thunder Or Meteor Tonight At 1:07 Un énorme et mystérieux bruit a été entendu cette nuit At 1:07 Le Tonnerre Ou Metéorite 😳

This really looks more like 1992 rather than 2021; scenes look too different from 2021 for radio/television coverage and for the thunderclap bangs here.
