Can you use an i9 13900k with the z790-p motherboard?
Everything is sold out
I built this exact PC about 6 months ago. One thing I want to say is that this CPU and GPU combination is extremely bottle necked at the CPU. I was getting bad graphical issues (bright lighting, odd color flickering, and straight up game crashes in high graphical games) I highly recommend going i7 or higher for this GPU. I upgraded to the i9 13900k and the 1000W PSU and I now no longer have any issues. Hope this helps anyone who was experiencing the issues I had
i have the same combo never had any issues i was afraid of the bottle neck but frankly i don't feel it
did you upgrade the radiator?
NOOOO PLS😖 my brain is about to explode from all of these, why is bottlenecking even a thing like why cant building a pc be simple dude
It is just always fun either watching someone make a PC and especially doing it yourself. Oh the thought of getting an RTX 4080 makes my wallet cry. I remember when I first tried learning how to build pc's, it wasn't Linus Tech Tips, not JayzTwoCents, not BitWit, it was this man right here where my PC journey started. I love the PC building community and I am glad that my entry into that world was through you. I even got to do my own custom PC(my first one was modifying a pre-built) rocking that new Ryzen 7700x with 6000MHZ CL36 Trident Z RGB ram, and a sweet sweet RTX 3080 ti, inside that very open Hyte Y60 case. Keep up with the amazing work. Lookin forward to the next build.
I like how u said rtx 4080 makes your wallet cry and then you list the most craziest and expensive specs 😭
Hope u got the Trident Z "Neo" RGB. Because Neo means optimized for AMD CPUs there
@@xelp435 same like bro said his first pc wasn't all expensive and then says my first was a ryzen 7700x and 6000mhz ram, like bro my first pc was a rx580 and ryzen 3 3200g. Some people aren't thankful at all
@@ahmeddraza lol we had similar builds mine was a ryzen 3 2200g and a rx570 I have slowly been upgrading it over the years
@@ahmeddraza lmfao i started with a Pentium g4600 and a 1060 3gb and only 8gb of ram lol 2017 hardware didn't really age that well considering how much more powerful and efficient even the budget options are today
Joey is one of the best teachers on UA-cam. My son and I began watching your content after I agreed to get him the components for Christmas. Just completed his 1st build and it turned out better than we imagined... and it's beautiful. Added a Funko Pop to boot just to mosh on his buddies. Thanks, Joey!
love it dude, can't wait till my boy gets older and i can build with him too!
Just an update for everyone, the total price for this build when the video was uploaded was $2376, but as of today (april 18th 2023) the total price for the entire build has been REDUCED to $2211 USD
My pockets aren't "that" heavy yet, so I'll wait 👌😆
@@somecallmevic lol same
its not much ;-;

As of today (may 25) its about $2350 with taxes waiting for a deal on some of the parts.
I'm glad that you swapped out the black exhaust fan with a white one. Makes the build look better.
Literally just built this entire build part for part because of your video. The only thing I changed was the 4080 to a 4070ti for budget reasons and I could be happier. You build walked through everything perfectly and built my PC with zero issues. I removed the hard drive cage early and that made a load of difference in installing the build. I also changed out the Pop figure to a Khonshu one from Moon Knight to go with the white build! Thank You for such a detailed over view and build guide!
Exactly what I was thinking of doing get a 4070 ti instead of 4080 how well does it do.
@@chriswuineck7951 it does awesome. I upgraded from a GTX1080 so the performance boost I saw was nearly double. Running by the benchmark test on MW2 I was averaging 137 FPS on 1440p with max settings. Overwatch 2 I was seeing way over 300fps and I also tested Apex and I was seeing around 220fps
@@andrewperlis3218 thank you bro will be doing the same then
@@chriswuineck7951 Just make sure that if you do this build by the fan splitters for the three to one. I didnt and had to stop building for one day till i ordered some and they came in.
@@andrewperlis3218 thank you so much and will do
This is my very first time building a pc and i thank you so much for teaching ALL of us on how to build this beast. i have ordered my parts and through 2 weeks of research i finally feel positive that this is the build that i would like in my gaming arsenal. Keep up the amazing workCrater!
How good has it been so far
hey I have a question, im currently building this PC right now but the extension cords from the power supply kit are split 3 ways not four like showed in the video? is it supposed to be like this?
@@alice-ks3ty should be two different cords that split 2 ways making it 4 ways together
@@alice-ks3tyhave this same problem did you find a solution to this
@@youknowjuneau9499 i was gonna order the four split one, but i ended up just plugging three in. i don’t rlly know the official names since i’m new to pc building. but i plugged the two main(?) ones in and one of the ones that split off. i just left the other split off one unplugged. the pc runs perfectly and the card works perfectly so i think it’s fine to do it like that. sorry if this doesn’t make much sense LMAOKFH.

Love the white PC case and of course the RTX 4080! $2500 price is actually pretty good for this build! Joey never disappoints!!! Thumbs up bro!
@Plonkedd I agree!!
I’ve already built my first pc but you do a great job of explaining and reassuring people that they can do it especially with the cpu when you first feel that tension with a $200-$300 cpu it’ll get the heart going lol! Great job
Hey Joey! Just wanted to thank you for helping me build my PC I watched a lot of your build videos and I finally got some courage and did it myself! I'm very grateful for your content, God bless!
Love you man! Keep up the amazing content! I’m happy your back!!!🙂
Hey, Crater I just want to say Thank you for all of your content. After 8 yrs of waiting I was able to build my own pc by simple watching your videos, I've learned so much with this channel. Built it actually yesterday, Not the best yet coz I'm still saving for a Beast Gpu for my 5700x but all in all Thank you CRATER. You've been my most favorite tech content creator . I wish you all the best.
i am building mine soon. just waiting for the parts. Crater really is an awesome guy for going slow and teaching his audience
@@Kotallo_Skyclan how did it go man??
You should use at least 3 separate 8-pin pcie cable for the 4080, using the piggy tail to connect will lower the upper power limit or may cause power overload.
Ok, do you own 4080?
@@teteakhiangte6015 you dont need a 4080 to know the proper connections...

Quick tip, instead of CPU_fan, plug the aio cooler into the one next to it, as thats for the aio, if you dont it could cause heating issues as it wont know how to control the aio through there.
Question what goes connected to the cpu fan I was just researching that and found out it has to be connected to the aio pump.

that 4080 looks like a brick you’d use to build a house with that’s insane and i thought my 3070 was big

Yeah only if u r rich af
Does the fan on the back have a white rgb or am I seeing things?
I think so
Dude, you helped me so much when I did my first build. Plus, you were the only dude who put Funko's in your PC which gives it personality, now everyone is doing it. I hope everyone realizes you're' the one who made it popular.
woah, the editing skills are awesome, the tutorial was awesome, and the benchmarks too. Great job.

It's a VERY nice pc. My only "problem" with it is.. assuming you can pay around MRSP.. Around a 25% increase in the budget gets you a 13700k, a 4090 and a 2tb nvme drive.. If you can afford around $2500.. then you can probably afford around $3000. 🤔
Who makes that?
Maybe you should go buy it then instead of hatin on this man. Talk is cheap when you're spending other people's money!
If only finding a 4090 at MRSP wasn't impossible
If you can afford around $2500.. then you can probably afford around $3000. If you can afford around $3000… then you can probably afford around $3500. If you can afford around $3500… then you can probably afford around $4000. If you can afford around $4000… then you can probably afford around $5000. If you can afford around $5000… then you can probably afford around 1.8 million.
What’s crazy is you can build this for around $2000 now. Prime day and Newegg sales right now you can get a 4080 for $1050
Hey, trying to build my first PC and was wondering if theres any bottlenecking on the 13600kF with the 4080? This might be a stupid question but it seems counterintuitive to me that an i5 CPU would be adequate for a higher end GPU with i7 and i9 existing… does anyone know if there are any gaming benefits that come with going with an i7 or i9 cpu or would that just improve productivity/multitasking??
No, not at 1440p. This is all you need for gaming.
There is def cpu bottlenecking
OMFG this guy is so informative! I just want to buy this dude a beer. Thank you for your help sir.
always get hyped when you post. your videos are therapeutic.
Your guides are amazing and you are a great teacher you inspire me to be patiant i always wanted a gaming beast but my parent is not $stable but i will pray every day and i will get a gaming beast like yours and play with you games online
Purchased all of the parts and going to be building it next week hopefully:)
i am as well except i went with a intel cor i9
the match was so intense bro's irl camera starts shaking aggressively lol😂😂
hey guys I'm still pretty new to pc stuff but how is he able to have a rtx 4080 but have a 13th gen intel core i5? I thought his cpu would have to be an i7 for his pc to support the 4080?
The 12th and 13th gen i5's are beasts. They can even drive a 4090
This is exactly what I’ve been waiting for
Cleanest white build with a beast performance. A very good build for Christmas.
Mistake: cable from AIO pump shouldn’t be plugged into cpu fan header. These is a separate pin for that in mother board named AIO PUMP.
Is this true? I ordered all these parts and I’m about to follow this video to setup my PC. So once I get my items I just need to change the AIO pump cable from the “Fan Header”
I have this same build, if its plugged into the pump it will boot to bios everytime...

Hey ,
Can you please make a video regarding 500-700 dollar gaming setup?
how about Ryzen 5800X + RTX 3070 thats a 700 dollar setup for sure
i have this build on a Micro ATX motherboard + Case with x5 fans RGB
worked really good, been using since past 1 year now, last month i did some deep cleaning, fans do gets dusty.
Other than that gaming and most im into Adobe After Effects graphics & design field, its rendering 1440p and 4K 60fps video footage very quickly too.
Are you recording your gameplay through the GeForce experience?
Quick question. Shouldn’t you have plugged the AIO plug into the AIO pump plug instead of the CPU Fan plug? 10:35
Yes he should of, if you don't you can damage the pump because it isn't running at full power all the time
What up homie! Wachu got on my forty😂 happy holidays 🎉

I legit picked this card up because it looked nice in your build! but what software are you using to control the rgb for the card? looks like only gigabyte control center is what's compatible but it's not even recognizing the card in the rgb section of the software
