My god. I've never watched a video where the narrator spoke so very much and said so very little. I have no idea what half these Roms are about, he drones on and on about nothing, talking in circles.
"There's loads of stuff. It's just filled with stuff to do. And it looks good, like it doesnt look bad, the stuff around you. It just looks so beautiful. It is great if you want to try something so, really good if you, you know want something to try out" dude this is the worst segement Trevor Noah has ever done.
Helpful video, but it desperately needs to be more concise. You know? Like, concise? Like, there's a lot of words in it, and there could be fewer words. Like, there's a relatively small amount of information, spread out across a long video. Like, if there were ten words in a sentence, there could be five words instead. You know? Just, fewer words and more concise.
Would like if he told more about why something is great rather than just saying it is. Statements like "The story is great" does not tell me anything about why I should like the story, it only tells me that he likes it.
Well if they were not there I believe atleast 1 person would be complaining about it in the comments so :P gotta include em, plus they are essentially cult classics at this point to be fair :D
Cult Classics or not, they've become pretty much list required hacks now. pretty much eveyone likes them when there's new ones pretty much nearly finished that blow them out of the water. Especially Light Platinum.
I like them both but LP gets kinda boring if you replay it more than once, same for Glazed because it's so long :( Dark rising is super insanely hard so I really hate it because it's so damn hard to defeat the champion, Sweet 2th is actually the only one on the list I kinda like .-.
i dont like being that guy buuut rusty knows its not a pikachu, he nicknames it Pikachu, because Red is his Idol and rusty wants to be like red, get yo facts straight Edit: ?? When did this happen to me
yeah, BUT! he "ACCIDENTALLY" bought that bike filled with..."leaves" that was supposed to be for prof.Tree, and Team Rocket just thinks Rusty do drugs(yes also with that "Raichu" c;), but who knows, maybe does do drugs XP
Okay people... apparently SOME of you had cotton balls in your ears when Rowlit said that there would be games that you already know about. I mean, come on guys! Really?!
As an idea, one of my favorites is a version of fire red that the character is part of team rocket, got me surprised and it was actually really fun if you think about it. I mean.. stealing pokemons from kids and old guys after beating them.. I totally recomend it if someone wants something a bit different.
Having played Dark Rising, I can safely say that it is complete garbage. Unfair level scaling, a horrid plot, and an E4 that's actually completely illegal in normal play? Nah, boi.
Sean Young I have beaten this shitstorm and let me tell you, it's difficult for all the wrong reasons. You want a hard, yet fair Pokémon game? Play Clover.
Many people will argue that pokemon ashgray isnt complete but its complete in regards to having finished all the kanto events it just doesnt go any further than that

My brother got trapped in the boat going to another island on pokemon glazed after grinding 300+ hours training pokes . he couldnt escape, he regrets opting to get on board the boat because if not he wouldnt have gotten trapped
Dark rising pissed me off so much cause i was too lazy to grind and i had to win with 1 lvl 100 and 5 lvl 50 pokemons just to breeze through some parts of the game
I can only speak to Light Platinum, and I would have to say it gets substantially worse with time. The second region is a joke; it's so easy. Plus there are a bunch of potential softlocks since the creators decided to make certain TMs required to get past certain areas (e.g. a version of Overheat is needed to burn stumps, so if you ditch the Overheat TM, you're stuck.). The many rival characters are cool on paper, but you only see them intermittently, they hardly have distinguishable personalities, and their teams are highly inconsistent with past encounters in terms of members and difficulty. The NPC's often times just repeat word-for-word what other NPC's say, which is pretty annoying. There are tons of little bugs and glitches that can force you to redo small sections of gameplay for no reason. I think it was a little too ambitious for the creators since it started out very well but ended up, in my opinion, unpolished and sometimes broken. Compared to other Pokemon games, I'd say it's the worst, but compared to other fan games, I'd say it's fairly average.
The best way to play rom hacks is to homebrew and set up cfw on a ds and then you can emulate games from an sd card it’s just the most authentic feeling to play rom hacks

I can never see them the same way again! Also, that last boss though! Super difficult, I'm stuck. At least there's a grinding cave...
you have to play the order destroy is really hard but the story is really good if u want to play the net game(its not going to be a rom hack ) u have to play it first
Is Dark Rising still very bugged? Or did they fixed that? I played it a few years ago, and there it has many bugs, now that I saw it I am thinking of replaying it, but only if they fixed the bugs...
I've tried playing through that game and not once have I completed it. Most of the time I'm searching the web for walkthroughs cause I have no idea on what to do next
I know it's not related- when I played the GBA rom hack Pokemon GS Chronicles on my Bitboy Pocket GO it did not run at normal speed. GS Chonicles worked perfectly through the whole game on my RG280M
Bro try Pokemon SGS..It's very good and you even have mega evolutions, and the Pokemon's turn back to normal form after the battle. You should try covering this hack..if you have not covered. Thanks for the great videos as always.
Does anyone know any fast pokemon games? Like so you dont need to watch cutscenes alot and you can train with the "speed button" that many emulators do.
Even though other roms have recently blown Light platinum out of the water, Light platinum isn't garbage. It's still good. Just some others are better.
pokemon glazed and pokemon light platinum is a memory of mine... we used to play that on my boy every lunch break or after class so much fun with that games and never forgotten SY 2015-2016 :)
I have glazed on this phone and it's a great game but, I got to a point where you need to have an npc talk to you and he just won't talk to me I hit A and nothing happens. This is a known issue with the game where sometimes one or two NPCs just won't talk to you, unfortunately for me it was the one I need to talk to to further the game so if you invest any time in Glazed, youre doing so at the risk of ending up like me.
Quit reuploading the same damn video over and over, recommend them to your video you uploaded 20 times. I've seen dark rising and glazed and light platinum one hundred times on your channel.
Man, I really like your vids, but just... slow down a bit. Its like you're so excited and everything is rushing out of your mouth! I get it, its cool stuff. Just lax.
Dark Rising world collide was the game that made me stop cheating. Earlier I didnt know about EVs and cheated every game and never really completed any of the cheated games. But when I played Dark Rising World Collide the Elite Four had LV 100 pokemon and they sweeped my whole team with single pokemon (I had a terrible pokemon team). I stopped played pokemon games for a while and 1 year later I learned about team building, playing without cheats then I started playing pokemon again. Now the games feels a lot more better and feels more nostalgic.
The thing that holds me back from playing these Rom Hacks is that they seem to be Gen 3, where all moves of a certain type are either physical or special. I kinda prefer the Gen 4 + system where a move's type doesn't make it physical or special. Are there any rom hacks that go by a Gen 4 or newer battling system?
do any of you guys know what's the name of a pokemon gba rom hacks that have spheal as one of the starters? i played it back in 2009 and can't find out what's the name
You can't have possibly made this video and also say you've played many rom hacks. Pokémon Snakewood is pretty well-known and I can't really think that a person would have actually played the game through and not put it on a list like this. It added a new type, it had a great theme/concept, it made a lot of references to different well-known and even obscure-but-great series', and the story was also great. The Ruby Destiny games are also really well-known, and while the first one is kind of bland, and the second one is kind of weird in playstyle, the third one really ties it all together and makes it unique and with a great story that was very memorable for me. The only reason I could see that you wouldn't put this on here was if you looked at the series as a whole and noticed the fourth Ruby Destiny game was in the works and hadn't been completed, in which case, that's fine, but you still could've put the third game in the series on there. There's just actually so many rom hacks out there with good concepts and decent to good stories that I can't believe you either just haven't played or played and then put it below most of the things on this list. I'm just baffled.
FALSE! Kalos peoples did, they just have a friend that put a little easter egg on the intro ;D (yeah its pretty inappropriate for a pkmn game to do that :l )
I'm pissed of due to glazed as I am always stuck on that cave which leads us to blackthorn gym and the forest which is burnt down so is this the full version???
anybody know of a pokemon rom hack or fan game (whatever i can run on my laptop with an emulator) that fulfills these following points? i am not sure from this top 10 list if any of these points are met as we didnt hear toooo many details on the games. first of all i want each and every single pokemon from gen 1-3 to be legally obtainable. (other gens are welcome, but not needed) this obviously includes all starters and legendaries (yes, even mew and deoxys). i am fine if i have to trade with an npc for a lapras or togepi or something, but i must be able to get pokemon eggs, then. also, gengar, alakazam, golem and machamp must either evolve on their own, woth a stone or with an ingame npc trader. i wanna fill my pokedex with a single game in a sigle playthrough with no hacks. second most important to me is that it contains a ton of tm which contain all the important attacks. pokemon games that didnt have reusable earthquake, ice beam and so on were utterly ruined for me. optionally that new system where all tm's are reusable. third would be balancing. everyone that has ever played pokemon knows that bugs suck and that in every pokemon game there are some that absoltely rock. i would like to either see official balanced versions of pokemon (no gen 1 alakazam) or fan balanced ones. it's alright if magicarp sucks until level 15, but everything else must be well done. wild kakunas should not be restricted to harden. also part of this point is balancing trainers and wild pokemon. i want meaningful battles most of the time, not just rush through every route the first time and run to the gym for the only half interesting battles. (looking at you, gen 2) especially important late game and when you beat the champ. a weaker and then later stronger top 4 and champ is a great idea as seen in gen 3, but for training your pokemon from low levels that can be challenging once more later on, as the gap between the super top 4 and the other strongest pokemon in the game is around 15-20 levels. getting this right would be very nice, but more important is having high level enemies to beat for reasonable training. least important would be to me to have the increased chance of the later pokemon games for finding shinies, because what fun are shinies if you never ever get to see one. things it mustnt contain dont really exist, but i wouldnt shed a single tear if there were no berries included or those weird talent shows from gen 3. i dont really care in what world you play, as long as the game is finished (obviously). i'd hate to have to stop playing at some point into the game. also, if the game wasnt finished or still is undergoing updates, it would be VERY nice if my save stats didnt get corrupted and i could just update and continue my playthrough. does anybody have any ideas? if there is nothing hat fits my list, i'd also be fine if you posted the best fit you know of and told me where it was different. thanks to all the replies

Gotta fill those 15 minutes somehow
lol
Just following the Potus~

Thank you so much ruffled i was looking for some rom hacks to play in my channel and you made a video on it so thanks!!
Still waiting for that ds version of light platinum to be completed
anything ?
@@iagofredd idk
Is it completed..........????????
Light platinum overrated af, glazed is much better
The Golden Pablo wut
Yup agree
Well i didn’t like glazed that much found it to slow, but that might be because I lost everything during about half of the game?
Nah take dat crap away and put clover there
The Golden Pablo Shut the hell up light platinum is leagues above Pokemon glazed
Roses are red
Violets are blue
The best's glazed
But sweet's good too !
Roses are Red
Violets are Blue
When I flush the toilet
I remember you
Wizilock light platinum is better
Roses are red
Violets are blue
Light platinum is the best
And you know it's true
No, sweetie. Yours wasn't interesting like the others.
Wizilock Ahem, you obviously haven't played Pokemon Clover or Pokemon Vega
Many people will argue that pokemon ashgray isnt complete but its complete in regards to having finished all the kanto events it just doesnt go any further than that
I hope, one of my Romhacks/Fanmade Games will sometimes be on the list
lucaz TheForest are they completed?
no, still in closed beta :] if everything goes according to my plans, the first ''Rom Hack'' should be finished next year at April :] (Its a Platinum Remake!
Name: Pokemon Shiny Platinum
Art Style: Gen 6
New Functions: Mega Evolutions, Fighting Animations,Elite Battle System, New Primal & Mega Forms as well as new normal forms, You can catch ALL Pokemon up to Gen 6 ,the Story will be slightly different, than the story from Platinum and you can discover many new Islands :] )
All in all I wouldn't even list it as a Rom Hack, because I'm doing the mapping and some of the artwork myself :D !
and you can catch shiny locked Pokemon like Zygarde
and you can catch Anime only Pokemon, like Crystal Onix
lucaz TheForest nice any way I can stay updated on the progress
My brother got trapped in the boat going to another island on pokemon glazed after grinding 300+ hours training pokes . he couldnt escape, he regrets opting to get on board the boat because if not he wouldnt have gotten trapped
Pokemon Rusty the Game! (drops mug) holy mother of bidoof..
Same :D, also mother of bidoof you say.... you mean Ditto, or Dittos C;
That mother must be proud of her offspring
Dark rising pissed me off so much cause i was too lazy to grind and i had to win with 1 lvl 100 and 5 lvl 50 pokemons just to breeze through some parts of the game
Maybe git gud? lol
Get good dude train up everyone not just 1 pokemon. Then you complain. Idiot
The best way to play rom hacks is to homebrew and set up cfw on a ds and then you can emulate games from an sd card it’s just the most authentic feeling to play rom hacks
man. pokemon glazed is really really hard
mostly because everything is crushed up together.
like. my mons are like level 25-33 and im struggling to beat the second gym.
like? THE SECOND GYM
also?
like i barely ever have enough pokeballs and stuff.
After the 3rd Gym the game gets easier
Trust me. I have completed this game fully, and it gets very easy.
Light Platinum was the first rom hack I ever played and it was mindblowing.
.....its actually one of my favourites ever....including official stuff.
Same here bro.Light Platinum stands on top of everything else
1. Saw ruffled upload
2. Dropped everything
Pokemon Crystal Clear? That's the best one I've played
I actually really enjoyed Pokemon CAWPS, sad to see it's not on here. The story was interesting and a lot darker than I was expecting! Many of the characters I loved in emerald made an appearance... I can never see them the same way again! Also, that last boss though! Super difficult, I'm stuck. At least there's a grinding cave...
I have played light pokemon 8 times and I still love it
dark risimg was so hard that i cheated all my way through it.
pravin kaushik same
so *unfair
out of the two i would say dark rising is a harder nuzlocke than clover was
im beat it legit
u had to cheat i beat dark raising with 4 pokemon and an hm slave legit
The only things i like about glazed is Red,Mystey island(Wild Starters),and Mega but some of the megas like gallade is exclusive
1:40 is where #5 starts fyi. :D
Nice list!
its called pokemon blazed glazed now because the old one was outdated
I suggest playing Expert Emerald. You can find every Pokemon up to Gen 3 and the game's difficulty is hard.
The light platinum ds version hasent got an update in 2 years.. it probably has stopped😥
Gimli yeah I'm still waiting for them I fix it. It's so laggy
does the last version already have 8 gyms in it?
Gimli Noo I hope it hasn't it would be such an amazing game
Cor sijtsma they added a new light platinum it’s called Pokémon mega light platinum with mega Pokémon
You should try flora sky, it's almost as good as light platinum :) awesome top 5 man
Fromage AMV Too popular.
Fromage AMV that's harder then light platinum because I played it.
Is it just me or does glazed hero remind you of naruto
ye
Yep :3
Haha my classmates that doesn't know pokemon glazes, say "Is that Naruto?" haha
nice ruffled! but one thing rusty doesnt think his kakuna is a pikachu, he named it pikachu because its red's most favorite pokemon and he adore's red
Dark Rising might not be worth playing if you hate grinding.
or you could just use rare candy cheats with master ball cheats and play it like you would read a book
Darius Mills Yep.
you have to play the order destroy is really hard but the story is really good if u want to play the net game(its not going to be a rom hack ) u have to play it first
Yeah, I know. I'm curious about the 5th DR game.
no rusty named his kakuna after red's favorite pokemon
Is Dark Rising still very bugged? Or did they fixed that? I played it a few years ago, and there it has many bugs, now that I saw it I am thinking of replaying it, but only if they fixed the bugs...
You'll be spending most of the time grinding while walking to different bosses with more convoluted plot elements than Netflix's Death Note.
HellBoyOnEarth there's a version called dark rising kaizo, it adds more story and fixes most of the bugs
@Avidity: Yeah I remember that :D
@scarlet night: OK, I will look for that :) Thanks
HellBoyOnEarth or go to the dark rising website in the description and find it there
HellBoyOnEarth the bugs are still there
Thanks for the list..now gotta try em all
It's such a shame that flora sky isn't on this list haha
raikouspark Because it's very easy to get lost in that game.
Not really ..
Nope , Flora sky is so good :) .
I've tried playing through that game and not once have I completed it. Most of the time I'm searching the web for walkthroughs cause I have no idea on what to do next
NokasAlarm Mine was Dark lol flora sky has a lot of glitches and bugs its great game but the glitch/bugs ruined it
I know it's not related- when I played the GBA rom hack Pokemon GS Chronicles on my Bitboy Pocket GO it did not run at normal speed. GS Chonicles worked perfectly through the whole game on my RG280M
Glazed is in almost every top 5/10 rom hacks which are completed but i am afraid it will be taken over by Gaia once it is fully released.....
Meet patel that game hasn't been updated in 2 years!
Gaia isn't a rom hack, it's a fan made game
Yess god i hope they actually get around to finishing Gaia
Meet patel I actually prefer glazed over Gaia, it didn’t feel right to me.
i'm afraid it will never be a full game
Bro try Pokemon SGS..It's very good and you even have mega evolutions, and the Pokemon's turn back to normal form after the battle. You should try covering this hack..if you have not covered. Thanks for the great videos as always.
I can't download pokemon rusty, someone link me the download link because I really wanna play, I'm on mobile and I use My Boy!
I´m actually playing Pokemon light platinum right now and it is awesome! He is right, it is the number one.
Does anyone know any fast pokemon games? Like so you dont need to watch cutscenes alot and you can train with the "speed button" that many emulators do.
Eyy the dark rising part tho.. the last pic you showed is from which part of the story? It wasn't there when I played it
Light platinum is garbage. Maybe back then it was a popular ROM back but with how advanced Pokémon hacking has become, it looks like a small fry.
For its time period it was good
Avidity I mentioned that.
You said maybe I was just confirming
well I have only played the game 'till I caught a *MISSINGNO* that *F*'s the game entirely! so yeah its quite bad for me and my friend |:\
What about Pokemon SnakeWood? It's a pretty decent ROM hack that have an interresting story and that is really great.
Inumi I agree
Not, it's terrible you get lost easily I mean u finished the 2nd badge where to go next.
Inumi snakewood. Rage quit. That is all.
Pokemon SnakeWood was designed very poorly.
babs really? I liked it alot

Shaby15v a lot of the rom hacks just include the physical special split even if there gba
Good to know, thank you.
So pokemon donut which is tunod backwards
Daemeon Thomas I beat the game twice and I notice it just recently
Maximiliano Cordova There's an officer in a Pokécenter that tells you that.

Just A Random Furret probably because you suck at it
You can't have possibly made this video and also say you've played many rom hacks.
Who wants sweet 3?
Dark Destroyer They need to fix the bug fest that is sweet 2th before they even think of sweet 3.
So the link for dark rising is quite interesting lol
Ya
Pilipino makes the Pokemon Light Platinum
FALSE! Kalos peoples did, they just have a friend that put a little easter egg on the intro ;D (yeah its pretty inappropriate for a pkmn game to do that :l )
Lanz _22 did u mean French people?
BRAZILIAN BOBO
Agent Manoobverz so?

rusty doesn't think his Pokemon is Pikachu he calls it because he adore red
Do you still have to rewatch the same pokemon in these roms hacks
all of these games seem fun but the way you described it made he hate them all
I'm pissed of due to glazed as I am always stuck on that cave which leads us to blackthorn gym and the forest which is burnt down so is this the full version???
Thumbnail: what's that Rom-Hack?
Syct-Ashy 10:27 it’s dark rising
1:58 if you want to skip ahead to the video
dark rising has some of the most questionable game design ive seen in a pokemon rom hack... and dialogue/story
are there any rom hacks that are completed but not mainstream like glazed, light platinum, dark rising series, flora sky, resolute?
Akhil Nair fucking hipster, gtfo
anybody know of a pokemon rom hack or fan game (whatever i can run on my laptop with an emulator) that fulfills these following points? i am not sure from this top 10 list if any of these points are met as we didnt hear toooo many details on the games.
first of all i want each and every single pokemon from gen 1-3 to be legally obtainable.
So is there anyway I can randomize these games, the current version of UPRandomizer doesn't register any modded games.
