- It took a minute for the coaches to fall in love with Maëlle's angelic voice, but from there on they were convinced. And the 17-Year-Old kept mesmerizing the coaches and the viewers with her emotional performances every round. So it wasn't that big of a surprise when the singer eventually got crowned as the winner of The Voice France 2018.

J’adore cette fille. Une voix angélique mêlée de force et de charisme, tout ce qu’elle chante et sublissime. Je ne comprends pas juste pourquoi elle n’est pas plus mise en avant sur les radios, à la télé, on a une artiste complète et avec une voix qui en ferait pâlir à l’international.
Et surtout elle est très positive, dans tout ce qu’elle dégage et le monde a besoin d’artiste comme elle.
Si seulement tout le monde se rendrait compte de ça..

I remember her battle with Gulaan. It was one of the most touching performances we got on The Voice. The coaches were in tears and I thought about it for days. Yes, she was out of tune sometimes but she had a soul within her voice. And she hadn't got any singing lesson ! Not only was her victory well-deserved but she was also the first female winner on The Voice. The first six seasons were all won by male singers.
I didn't watch The voice in 2018 but when she dis her battle with Gulaan, I saw in a newspaper something about their prestation. One year later, I heard Toutes les machines ont un cœur and I searched on UA-cam and now I love what she does
It's one of those things that on paper shouldn't work, but when you have the balls to do it, you see that true art is made when you least expect it.

Dans sa vie on entend des centaines de chansons, nous voyons des dizaines d'artistes de tous âges et nationalités, quelques chansons restent, quelques artistes également qui font l’unanimité quelque soit ses goûts.Le hasard du temps a mis ensemble Maelle et Gulaan , improbable et pourtant. Ce duo a réalisé une des plus belle prestation de musique, de chant, de deux personnes pourtant aux antipodes , Une merveilleuse artiste naissante, un merveilleux artiste aux valeurs affirmées, chacun est reparti suivre son chemin espérons qu'il se croise à nouveau.
J'ai tout de suite su que ce serait elle après sa prestation sur London Grammar. Une évidence. Un diamant dans la voix et beaucoup d'humilité. Une grande artiste.
J'ai remarqué qu'à partir de wricking game. Après la Battle c'était évident, personne au direct sauf Echo l'égalait mais ses choix de chanson aux directs étaient mal faits. Xam était populaire mais il a tardé à être plus dans l'émotion.

Came across this by chance and was intrigued by the headline of angelic voice. Not angelic, nor always in tune, but there's something hauntingly emotive and honest in her tone. Some reaches are beyond her ability, and sound strained, but even that is forgiven. It's a very contemporary sound. Great duet in Fragile 😍 She is lovely, I wish her well. For the record ... she was not yet 17 when she auditioned, age she will not reach until the final. She had never been on a stage in her life and had never taken a single singing lesson.
throughout her journey she sings in a totally instinctive way, which explains the peculiarity of her very free interpretations with a lot of technical imperfections but that her siren voice makes us completely forget.
