I knew that contract would lead to greater factionalization and polarization of militancy in the Niger Delta. Sadly, these characters are fighting for their pockets, not the interests of the people.
Tompolo is rich, Dokubo is rich and is even said to own a university in Benin Republic. Why not invest in the Niger Delta? Ateke Tom is rich, and buldozed his way to the traditional rulership of his people. Who suffers? The people.
This is the order of exploitation in the Niger Delta:
    - Colonialists
    -Nigerian Govt
    -Local political/traditional elites
    -Militants and gang members
The poor people are not in the equation at all.
Instead of them to mount pressure on the govt and MNCs to invest in the human development capacity of the people of the region, they are talking about getting a share of the cake for themselves alone. Well, oil will dry off someday, then the region will be left with nothing but a devastated environment and a people lacking and unequiped with the skill sets to survive in the post-oil era.

    • @yusufadebola4988

This is a pure fact, this investigative report of Ovieteme George with a factional militant is suspicious. Mr George should not tell us those militants are not aware of his coming.

people in Nigeria suffering all because of greed and selfishness. With the level of oil the country has, everyone in Nigeria should be living a descent life. • @uchennanwosu4625

The problem is the brazen corruption of our current political leaders. Buhari never meant well for the Niger Delta. He first tried intimidation - it failed; then he began the usual manipulation game and here we are again. If they had given licenses for modular refineries, jobs would have been created as well as massive wealth in the region. Instead they implemented policies to allow monopoly while Nigerians continue to suffer from lack of basic petroleum products and foreign exchange. The massive looting of our crude oil is government backed, and this is why it goes unabated. Only Jesus will save us. Peter Obi can clean up this mess, but the oligarchs are unrelenting. They are willing to risk the complete destruction of the country just to hold on to power.

I'm seeing the hands of Nigeria evil leaders here o. Now that Nigeria is at the verge of getting better, they want to ignite the fire of confusion amongst the youths by letting Niger Delta be distracted with war while they continue with their evil plans. Please let us hear the voice of reasoning and not fall into their traps this time🙏. Peace out 🇳🇬✌️🕊️

They could be right but unfortunately fighting each other why the Niger Delta oil is flowing to Niger republic through the help of Amaechi and Sylva. So unfortunate that Jonathan was in charge of the nation's wealth but Niger Delta remains undeveloped.

Now if anything happens to pipeline he Asari should be arrested and throw inside prison .... only in Nigeria people celebrate criminals and criminality.
