- In this video, I'm recapping our recent trip to the Wyndham Alltra Playa del Carmen. It was an all-inclusive resort located just steps off of the (in)famous 5th Ave! If you thinking of visiting, I'll be giving you a rundown of my thoughts on the resort and pros vs. cons of staying here. I also discuss Cancun vs Playa del Carmen and where I think you should stay depending on what you like 😊

Thanks for sharing this very detailed and awesome video highlighting this place. My wife and I are heading down the 2nd week of July for our anniversary. The concern for us is that we hear the beach isn't accessible because it is overtaken by seaweed. I also here because of the seaweed that the odor is horrific. Please advise on whatever you can, especially about the beach life which is really what we're looking forward to visiting an island.
I am so sorry I am getting back to this so late! I hope you and your wife had a great trip and the seaweed wasn't too bad! The last time i was there is was terrible but there are some beautiful rooftop pools etc that we visited☺
Great video and definitely helpful! I will be returning to PDC in October and will be staying at this resort. When I went last year, I stayed at a hotel off of 5th. I agree that XCaret is definitely over rated lol

@@SavaSnacks exactly lol the only thing I REALLY enjoyed there was the speed boat Adrenalina....but not enough to make me spend another $300 to get on it again lol
Just came back i was very impressed with the service ,the entire staff so respectful ,the hotel is very clean especialy Carlos at the gym Trip advisor and at the Ventanas the food food area like Mario hernandez and Sheccid Caronel beautiful people ,most likely i will go back to Cancun and i will stay at the Wyndham Alltra

Hi! where is the beach with sand and without rocks? How many minuts walking on the beach or the streets? Thank you!! Sorry for the translation!
No you’re perfect! The beach with nice sand is on the left of the property (if you’re looking at the ocean. To walk there would take under 5 minutes from the property. Hope that helps😊
if you want a great location with an awesome pool and if you dont mind the noise of 5th, the Thompson is the place.. its adults only .
What is the dress code at the restaurant?
Going next week and am nervous of some reviews for this resort. Wife's never been to Mexico I been to playa once before. Any more tips for making this stay a memorable one
Oh man, I'm sure you'll have a great time. We loved just walking 5th avenue to see whats going on. Also, get off the resort (go into more local neighborhoods) if you want GREAT food. I didn't mention it in the video but on our last night there we went to Mariscos y Clamatos El Doctorcito and had amazing seafood including a wood-grilled fish that was incredible.
Also, at the resort, the staff is very friendly and it's fun to chill by the pool and join in on the activities- hang out by where they have the pizza bar if you want to be on the "fun" side of the pool! Hope that helps and enjoy the trip 😊
I'm going there in a month and I can't believe there's like a recent video especially since it got bought out and made in adults Only Resort.we picked it for its location. So if the food sucks we could just go right onto 5th Avenue ha

How did you get from the resort to the airport? What bus company did you use?
We used Happy Shuttle Cancun. You can find them on TripAdvisor I think. Hope that helps!

Standard! I thought I would like a room with a beachfront view etc but I’m actually glad we were on the side of the building because there was a lot of music and activities at the pool all day and into the evening. Hope that helps and enjoy your stay 😊
My goodness, I end up booking a hotel for my anniversary trip that has no beach. I am about to cry!!

Yes! I think at 11pm and then doesn’t reopen until 11am.

Yes!
Is this hotel beachfront?
Yes but the beach directly in front of it is not great! If you just go to the left of the resort about 1 minute walking there is a way better beach. Hope that helps!
XCaret very overrated! Question did they have a covid testing on site ? i am going to this hotel in May and to return home we need to get tested.

@@SavaSnacks thank you so much! i went to The Reef 28 around the corner from the Wyndham in Playa de Carmen two years ago and it was amazing i would go back but i wanted to try and different hotel i hope i enjoy it!
So the playa del Carmen is adults only but not the Cancun hotel?
I'm not sure about the Cancun one but definitely the PDC Wyndham is adults only. Hope that helps!
