Aladdin Beauty and the Beast Tangled Lady and the Tramp Pinocchio The Lion King Robin Hood The Aristocats Atlantis The Lost Empire Oliver and Company Lilo and Stitch The Rescuers & The Rescuers Down Under The Hunchback of Notre Dame Hocus Pocus Toy Story Trilogy Bolt The Incredibles
Aladdin is mine as well. It has everything I like in a movie. Most people say Robin Williams makes the film, but I strongly believe it's the writing and characters that make the film good. I would put it in my top 5 favorite movies of all time. It's truly a classic.
I don't see anything wrong with a grown man talking about his favorite Disney movies. C'omn, it's certain that the vast majority of people have at least one favorite Disney movie, cartoon or not. My favorite one is "The Lion King"; epic tale with a lot of heart, tragedy, memorable characters, and great songs (not just one or two great songs). As for finding Sarah Jessica Parker hot, some guys do; different strokes for different folks.
The Lion King Reasons why: The songs are amazing and whenever I watch this movie, I can instantly sing along. Every character is amazing; Mufasa's death scene gets me every time. It's one of the greatest disney movie of all time.
I hate the people who say "Where's Up?" Or "Where's Beauty and the Beast?" Or anything like that, ITS HIS OPINION, MAYBE ITS YOUR FAVORITE, BUT IT MIGHT NOT BE HIS, I like Toy Story 3, but you don't see me crying "Where's Toy Story 3?" So quit whining about his opinion!
Scott weigner was Steve who was DJs boyfriend on full house and now he's on fuller house. I loved Mary Poppins, beauty and the beast, lion king, finding Nemo and finding dory, hocus pocus, angels in the outfield, and Snow White and the seven dwarfs.
Toy Story is my favorite Disney movie because I grew up watching it over and over hundreds of times in my basement on the VCR. It had great characters and it was so original. And it is the definition of my childhood.
Pocahontas is my favourite Disney movie. Mostly because of the childhood memories. When I was little I could sit and watch it all day and I loved the racoon. Also The Mighty Ducks has some memories with it as well.
10. Big Hero 6 9. Cinderella 8. Alice in Wonderland 7. Beauty and the Beast 6. Fantasia 5. The Little Mermaid 4. Pinocchio 3. Aladdin 2. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs 1. The Lion King
4. The Hunchback of Notre Dame: Remains the most adult and multi level disney film. Disney changes the storyline and characters but keeps the essence of the many themes. Best songs and best singing of any disney movie. Frollo is my personal pick for best Disney villain and it is Disney's most underated recent release (1996) 5. I Put The Lion King at Number 5 because its starting to lose it's luster on me. It still holds a special place in my heart as it was the first movie I saw in the cinema.
I've seen all of 'em (bits of The Incredibles) except the Mighty Ducks and Hocus Pocus, so I couldn't comment on them two. I have to say, it's a very interesting list, and a cool one too. Thanks for placing Pinocchio on the list; that one's my favourite; it has one of the best structured storylines, music (my favourite song's in there as well) and one of the best endings (I'll say no more or I'll spoil it). Also I like the way the characters i.e. Honest John was represented.
One of my all time fav's is probably Beauty & the Beast. Just a great movie all around. Probably not as fun as Aladdin, but It's kind of dark at moments, & just has a really good stories. One of the many Disney movies I watched 100 times growing up.
Man, I love all these movies (even The Mighty Ducks movies, and I didn't even grow up with those. They're guilty pleasures of mine.). I love Pinocchio, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, The Incredibles, and of course The Lion King, but my favorite is Toy Story. I love the sequels too, but the original just takes me back to being a kid, which is a wonderful feeling. Nostalgia aside, the script is very clever and the story is great. All the characters are classic in that movie, too. :)
The disney movie that I can watch and quote every now and then is The Emperor's New Groove. It was funny, clever and I loved the cast - David Spade, John Goodman, Eartha Kit and Patrick Warburton. Memorable characters, funny dialogue and some good musical numbers. And of course the fact that it was one of the more entertaining/better 2D animated disney films in recent years.
1. Aladdin: Great characters, story, themes, good mix of classic disney animation & new Pixar CGI and the best music on a disney film. 2. The Little Mermaid: Ariel taught me what Girl Power was before the Spice Girls existed. She was the first strong female protagonist and saves the man instead of being a damsel in distress. 3. Beauty and the Beast: Only Animated film to win best picture at Golden Globes, great songs, characters etc. - these 3 movies saved Disney from going bankrupt.
Sword in the Stone is a great underrated Disney Movie. Some that I liked that you didn't mention: The Jungle Book, Peter Pan, Duck Tales The Movie, The Rescuers. And I know I'm forgetting some others too. But, there are a few for you.
On a side note one of the more underrated disney films I ever saw was the hunchback of notre dame. The story was really moving and it had one of the sickest and most twisted villains ever Frollo. MY GOD was he evil. His villain song "Hellfire" was about how he had a hard on for a girl and if he couldn't have sex with her he would burn her at the stake. It was pretty deep and dark shit for a movie aimed at kids.
My favorite Disney film is easily Beauty and the Beast, but I'm gonna step outside the box here and say my all-time favorite animated movie from my childhood is The Land Before Time (not Disney, surprisingly). That movie defined my childhood, and imo it beats every Disney movie ever made. For me, as a kid, it just couldn't get any better than an epic adventure involving dinosaurs. I'll admit, even at 22, I can't watch the scene where Littlefoot's mom dies without tearing up.
@VeZius Yes Dumbo was a fav of mine as a kid, sad stroy. And yes I liked movies like The Warriors and Bad Boys (The Sean Penn movie) those are the flicks I grew up on.
My favorite Disney movie has got to be either "Lady and the Tramp" I am a dog lover and the menagerie of different breeds and the music were so awesome gotta love it. Also really love "Sleeping Beauty" because I love dragons, I collect them and so it's a too close to call to just have one favorite.
Gotta go with the lion king. From the life lessons it taught, to the great characters, to the dark and surprisingly adult- like story, and because of the memorable songs by I can't remember who and the beautiful score by Hans Zimmer.
My Top 5 personal favorite Disney movies are as follows... 5 - The Lion King. 4 - Alice in Wonderland. 3 - Peter Pan. 2 - The Jungle Book. 1 - Robin Hood. Those are the 5 I grew up watching the most, and the ones I consider helped mold my childhood in some shape, form, or fashion.
Hocus Pocus yeah I liked that film. Sword In The Stone I remember that movie I have it forgotten Mighty Ducks I can't recall that movie but it was based on ice hockey. Good list dude.
My favorite disney movie is Lady and the tramp, pinocchio peter pan, cinderella, Bambi Alice in wonderland, The aristocats, Robin hood, pocahontas Aladdin, Beauty and the beast, the hunchback of notre dame Hercules, Mulan Tarzan
The first Toy Story is my favorite Disney movie. It was the first Disney movie I watched, and probably the first movie I ever watched. It and Lion King are my favorites.
My Favorite Disney Movie would have to be "The Lion King" because it was the first movie I saw in theatres in 1994 when I was 5. My aunt took me to see it in her Red Corvette, thats my pick, Hakuna Matata!
My favorite disney movie is ratatouille or The Lion King. Ratatouille just had amazing execution and how the movie played how. The Lion King is just a great story, with fantastic musical numbers and has a lot of nostalgia for me.
If we're including Pixar then Toy Story is my favorite Disney movie, but if we aren't than Aladdin is. Toy Story is funny, great animation, and it makes me happy when I'm in a bad mood. Oh and the voice of Aladdin was in Full House, he played DJ's boyfriend Steve.
Favorite of all time, I don't know. But if I had to assemble a top ten, it would be (in no particular order): Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken - It's set in the 1930s and it portrays a young woman who runs off to join a traveling circus. It's an unfortunately overlooked movie. The rest of my list will be more familiar titles Mary Poppins The Parent Trap (1998) The Lion King The Little Mermaid Fantasia Aladdin The Rescuers/The Rescuers Down Under
One of my favourite disney movies is The Black Cauldron. That film should seriously be a 15 it's so scary! It's the darkest kid's film ever made. The bad guy (The Horned King) is the most evil character in the history of kid's films in my opinion!!
My number 10 is 10.Pinochio 9.Sword in the Stone 8.Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs 7.Lady and the Tramp 6.101 Dalmations 5.The Lion King 4.The Aristocats 3.Toy Story 2 2.Sleeping Beauty 1.The Little Mermaid And i own them all on blu ray with slipcovers
Re: hockey - what state did you grow up in? Because here in Michigan, the answer is a resounding "yes". I have a cousin who traveled to matches across the country with his team.
Apparently my first comment didn't display the line breaks properly ... oh well. I said this would be a top ten, but I'll make it top 15. continuing: Homeward Bound (1&2) Mulan Tarzan Lilo and Stitch Holes (Actually this one is a little overlooked, too, but I love the unusual story, as well as Sigourney Weaver and John Voight as the juvie camp wardens.)

@theFLICKpick Oh I just realised I forgot to mention Little Mermaid. Not sure why exactly, but I watched that many times back then. I'm intrigued to see it again after all these years... I have no shame either!
I've seen many of those animated films during my childhood, but somehow none of those left a big impact on me, they were quite forgettable to me for some reason. I can say I was fond of Dumbo and Alice in Wonderland a lot back then, but I was far more interested in watching films like Jurassic Park/Predator/Alien/Nightmare on Elm Street/Poltergeist/Ghostbusters/Back to the Future/James Bond films etc.. I suppose I liked Dumbo and Alice cos they were so trippy. Guess I had a fucked up childhood.
the guy who does Aladdin's voice is Scott Weinger who played Dj's boyfriend Steve in full house. when the Tanner's go to Disney land for vacation Dj sees the guy dressed as Aladdin as Steve dressed as Aladdin which i always thought was hilarious.
Scott umm W something I think who voiced Aladin was from Full House. He played DJ's boyfriend Steve. Beauty and The Beast is my favorite disney movie. I was in love with the beast when I was little. Weird? I had everything Beauty and the Beast. It was a justin bieber like obsession. Great videos btw!
The Little Mermaid. It's the movie I grew up on. It's just a lot of fun, and it has some of the most awesome characters. It might also be because i'm a redhead and bias. Who knows?
I separate the regular Disney cartoon movies, the Pixar and the live action Disney movies separate. My all time favorite is beauty and the beast when it comes to the cartoon Disney movies because the movie was different from any other Disney princess movie and plus I think it had the best ending then any other Disney movie would have.
My top 10 cartoon movies of all time: 10. The lego movie 5. The south park movie 9. Shrek:forever after 4. Shrek 2 8. The Simpson's movie 3. Toy story 2 7. Shrek the third 2. Toy story 1 6. The family guy star wars trilogy 1. Shrek
Toy Story because it makes me cry happy thoughts.
His midlife crisis reason is perfect. I'm preparing for that, that's why I'm collecting Disney films.
And the fact that I still love it as an adult speaks volumes for how good Disney was back then.

Exactly, Faith Johnston; I commented similarly above.
Great list and I'm loving the Christmas lights in the background. Good touch there. :)
@MrBluSeph Thanks, glad someone enjoyed it.

Ratatouille... Just awe-inspiring, emotional, adventurous, intelligent. I can watch it over and over.
I think Aladdin was voiced by Steve from Full House.
Dude, Aladdin is my favorite Disney movie as well! You don't know how happy this makes me :D
@CinematicGalaxy Yeah there really isnt one bad thing about Toy Story, I just had to pick Aladdin over it due to the hand drawn animation.
Toy Story is my favorite, I watched it soo many times on VHS back in the days. I never got tired of it :)
Pocahontas is my favourite Disney movie. Mostly because of the childhood memories. When I was little I could sit and watch it all day and I loved the racoon. Also The Mighty Ducks has some memories with it as well.

Tarzan is my personal favourite. I guess it's because I grew up with it.
