Got Craftsy! Thank you! Can it also be watched on my smart tv?
@@barbwebb6571 I signed up and received an email from them saying yes! So great!
Hi Leslie, Rhonda from Australia here. I have just spent a month in the US and Canada. So many things that I still want to see and experience. I didn't watch your videos whilst I was away but I was looking forward to binge watching them when I returned home. I am interested in your green thumb - you mention that you feel confident in your gardening ability. I would love to see and hear about your learned techniques. I always have great intentions but don't always have great success. Another hobby is embroidery - Wattle and Loop is a new Australian company that I have recently found and the projects look to be a little different. I haven't done one of their projects but I want to send a kit to my "crafty" friend in Canada. I'll let you know what she thinks. I love watching your videos.
I love to scrapbook. It’s so therapeutic. You can make cards, gift tags, mini albums , bows , wrapping paper … the possibility’s are endless.
My most favorite hobby is hand making greeting cards w/stamps, ink & paper. Been doing it for over 30 years
How nice, I always wanted to do that
Were can I get the kit for this
Great ideas!
Super ideas! I’m more and more housebound with my disabled husband so keeping my mind and hands busy is so important!
I think the puzzle vase would be cool with a string of timer lights inside instead of water and flowers (battery). The lights would shine through the puzzle pieces beautifully. 😊
@@cindygehrke5249 love that idea!!!
What wonderful ideas for hobbies! Love this video!
When I retired, I taught myself how to paint barn quilts. These are quilt blocks that are painted on wood instead of making cloth quilts. Once they are sealed, barn quilts can be hung on a barn, building/shed or on a porch. This hobby has been so much fun for me and I think you would like it too Leslie.
I love papercrafting so much I decided to start teaching classes. I love my crafty community! Hobbies enrich our lives. ❤
Great Video! I am in my eighties and still decorate our home. I have many interests. Crochet, sewing, plants, journals, card making, painting, groom my dog. Flowers. Still interested in learning.I also do my IPad.Great for everything!
Great video Leslie, I have done the loop blanket, diamond painting, Murdle, glass fusing, and now card making. 78 years young and trying all new things!! Thank you for your videos! ❤
76 and wanting to try some new things
I'd say my biggest hobby that isn't as big now is minimizing. Watch endless videos on the topic and get at it. It never really ends. I'm an information junkie, so really letting UA-cam know how delightfully weird your interests are helps it give you new creators and videos that you'd love. I'm an avid reader, 70% non-fiction where I get to learn all sorts of things on lots of subjects. On the fiction front, Elin Hildebrand and K. Slaughter are making me feel like an elementary school kid again as I binge through their series with such joy. I love going to thrift stores to find super soft pajamas, which are oddly hard to find in stores or online, but are dirt cheap and make me happy.
I never have trouble in the pajama department...I find so many I have to stop myself
I’m so excited to check out the Muriel and Criminal Minds Puzzles books! I have a lot of hobbies 😂 Diamond painting, card making, scrapbooking, tumbler making, acrylic painting, water color painting, crocheting, and sourdough bread making. I truly believe that I need to exercise my brain, we have dementia on both sides. Have a blessed week, Leslie.
Your hobby videos are my favorite! :)
You started me on MURDLE and I am addicted! Can’t wait to try Criminal Minds. Thanks for the inspirations.
Another fun post, Leslie. A few years ago I started pencil coloring. its a stress reliever, I'm defiantly going to try the coaster transfers as gifts, and, Criminal Mind puzzle.
Scrapbooking, junk journals and diamond painting are my favorite hobbies right now.
Those hobbies sound like fun. You may just have helped newly retired people and people who live alone keep their sanity 😊. My husband is slowing down physically and is lamenting about his younger, stronger days. I hope I can get him interested in some of your ideas. He loves to cook but the kitchen looks like a war zone when he’s finished cooking. Guess who the clean up crew is.
Thanks for the video!
Quilting! My husband has early stages of dementia and we spend a lot of time at home. I love tackling advanced projects because it forces me to learn new skills.
I did the vase puzzle before mine has yellow finch looking birds with a poem or something n I bought yellow flowers to match. It was beautiful but once it was built I got bored with it.
My flower press goes in the microwave actually lol
Right now currently I do resin art, fluid art (painting) nails, make candles n I crochet because it's the best fidget toy ever n you get a finished product from it. I have so many other hobbies but those are my favorites.
I absolutely loved this video! This is a topic that I don’t see covered anywhere but on your channel. And what a great deal on Craftsy! Do you think you could put together a Christmas crafts/Christmas gifts video similar to this format? Thanks for all you do and give Jason a big hug.
Bible journaling, piano playing, crochet.
Thanks for another great video.
I love watching these types of videos since I just retired!
Love Bonsai. Both my oldest son and my husband have collections of Bonsai they have grown and wired, etc. That will be a great hobby to be involved in. I LOVE the flower press and will have to go and watch Joanna G. stuff on it. Leslie, you are always full of wonderful ideas!! And a joy to listen too.
I love my Murdle puzzles and will definitely try the Criminal Mind Puzzle Book. I propagate Pothos of different varieties. Always on the hunt for different and unique flowerpots to give as gifts. Since they are easy to maintain, people love them. I have friends that have some of my babies and they have grown so much. I started propagating Wandering Jews this summer. I will see how well they do this winter.
Great ideas, Leslie! Thank you for sharing them.
I'm ordering the puzzle vase, the flower press, the crime solving book and coasters to use up some rub on transfers. I make blank greeting cards, picture folios from card stock, knit scarfs and blankets, and I love these books called Variety Puzzles by Penny Press. Great fun and challenging. Thank you for such wonderful ideas!
Greetings Leslie! I crochet prayer shawls and journal. Sometimes I go through a painting cycle. Love and blessings ♥️🙏
Those all look like fun, I crochet a lot in the fall and winter months. ❤
I love the coaster! ❤
I love to junk journal and scrapbook!! God bless you Leslie!
I signed up for Craftsy, thanks for the discount!🙏
That’s awesome 🤩
I just started flower pressing budget version (put parchment paper inside a thick book and put the flowers in there to dry). I went on Pinterest for ideas of what to do with them- some great stuff there!
Slow stitching, learning to quilt, sewing totes, learning to put in zippers to make pillow covers. Retired from nursing 4 years ago and doing it trying all the things I had no time for!!!😊🎉
I have so many hobbies. I love to learn new things. I make cards using all the supplies I have accrued over the years.. paint, watercolor, decoupage etc. I love DIY projects, sewing baby blankets and burp cloths. I watch you tube videos to learn new skills. 79 and still learning. Your videos are always the best. Thanks Leslie. Signing up for craftsy right now. What a deal!
Your channel is so relaxing, and such nice content you put out! 🫶🏼💟💐
@@Linda-in9ns thank you 😊
My favorite type of video! Love simple hobby ideas that you bring us!
I love to create or up-cycle decor with Iron Orchid Designs transfers and moulds.
Thanks soo much for sharing!! I have that puzzle board and it's a game changer!! Highly recommend. Stay blessed my friend...
I just bought the puzzle board- but got the tilting one and the two murder type books. I can't wait. I love doing puzzles but my neck always hurts after too long of looking down :)
Thank you Leslie! I have several hobbies, gardening, sewing, junk journal making, a new one I have found that’s fun and creative is slow stitching. It’s doesn’t cot anything if you sew. You can use old clothing found at resale shops, old sheets,or you can buy pieces from any place that sells fabric! You can find many links on the suggestions and ideas on slow stitching. You can work on your pieces while traveling, sitting in a Dr’s office, watching tv. It’s not expensive and it lets you be creative! I love your video’s and look forward to watching them!
Since I retired, I love doing the Dot Paintings it's very relaxing and good for stress and anxiety. I purchased a magnifier that clips to the table. Love your idea to use the back lighting. You have great ideas. Thank you for sharing all these Hobby Ideas your very informative.
I love Murdle , and I do diamond art . I’m a new widow and I need to keep busy .
I love to cook and try new recipes!! I am always on the prowl for new delicious dishes. I love gardening, particularly flower gardening, home organization, reading suspense and reading suspense novels. I haven’t started yet but I am in love with the idea of scrapbooking. I just love your channel for your simple yet wonderful ideas and your lively sweet spirit and candor. Your channel is actually one of the first that I started watching on a regular basis. Keep up the good work. I also love your spirituality.🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Goodness Gracious!!! You are the best, with amazing ideas ❤
Loved this video Leslie! That crime solving book is right up my alley and I'd never heard of them!
I enjoyed your 2 other vlogs about hobbies. I like your enthusiasm for hobbies & seeing everyone’s favorite hobbies in the comments. The puzzle board is really neat. Love the flower press.
The criminal mind puzzle book looks interesting & also would make good Christmas gifts for relatives. 💜
Currently I'm engrossed with sewing marine canvas for our sailboat - sail covers, gib covers, bimini top, helm cover, wench covers. The list goes on and on. I'm going to attempt upholstery next.
I'm soon to be 69. My hobbies are quilting and learning piano lessons. Always wanted to learn and it is helping with my mind and flexible fingers.
Are you taking online classes or from a traditional piano teacher. I think learning to play would be so much fun.
Great ideas Leslie, even as Christmas presents. 😊
I love paper crafting, sewing and I want to learn to crochet. Thank you for the link to Craftsy! I took advantage of that and I am excited about it! I’d never heard of them.
My favorite hobby again after many years away is cross stitching! So many pretty patterns♥️ In September a friend is going to teach me how to knit socks…two at a time😱 I’ll keep ya posted!
Sudoku, crossword, codeword, knitting, crocheting, gardening, home decor, reading novels, walking, cooking and board games are all my faves in their own seasons.
Besides your suggestions being good for personal hobby ideas, I think they are great ideas for Christmas gifts!!
Similar gift ideas for kids gifts are the KLUTZ craft series books that come with the supplies and instructions for beading, bracelet making, puppets, etc.. My kids loved them.
Thank you for showing up these hobbies - very interesting! ❤️🇨🇦
Card making
Thanks for all the cool ideas Leslie! I used to press flowers all the time years ago and now you've got me interested again!
I am a crafter as well and I do make wreaths displays of the pumpkins at a lot of things but I do also make the diamond art I have so many that I have finished and put into frames and I'm doing now I whale my one of my granddaughters and I just did the sun and the moon for my other granddaughter on the diamond art, they turn out so beautiful and if you put the wrong bead color in one spot you can't tell it 😂 so much fun
I absolutly love this video I currently Diamond paint I have done so many but I love the puzzle book I love crime stuff lol ❤❤❤❤❤❤
This was great. Can’t wait to check things out. Thank you ❤😊
I do the diamond dotz paintings, too, as well as scrapbooking and card-making.
Love scrap booking, furniture painting, paper crafts and now i want to try the flower pressing. Thanks for the insperation.
Great video and ideas Leslie!
I have pressed flowers with my grandkids while we were on vacation. I had them pick wild flowers from the area we were in. It was so fun!
Those coasters are beautiful! ❤
I enjoy beading. My granddaughters got me started with friendship bracelets and I have taken it to making more complex beading patterns. So much fun!
Thank you Leslie! Great video😊❤
I love your videos…hobbies are always a great pastime…Thanks for sharing…you’re a doll!
Great ideas!
Fun ideas!!! Love and prayers!!! ❤️🙏🏻🥰
Love hobbies. Crocheting, quilting, scrapbooking and card making.
I love crocheting & cross stitch without a stamped cloth. Both are easy to pick up & put down. Definitely not a puzzle person or diamond art but the puzzle vase looked intriguing.
I would love to see your finished product!!! Maybe do a video on the finished products!
I got the flower letters for a loved one that you suggested in one of your past videos and she loves it!!! 🌸💌🌼
Thank you for the ideas!
Murdle sounds like such fun! I'm going to save up for it. Not sure I have the patience for the diamond painting or the blanket making. I tend to get agitated quite easily these days as I navigate the two dementias. I love the idea of a puzzle table and allowing others to work on it when the adult grandloves come for Sunday Family Dinner. I'd love to have one with a Disney puzzle that everyone could work on. We did a 1500 piece puzzle during COVID and it was fun to have family participate. Your cooking videos have been such a blessing for me. I am going to look into the tutorials you referenced. My brain could use something new. You're the best sweet girl! Maureen
Thank you so much for this video! I am just starting out on trying new hobbies after a long illness prevented it. I will definitely be giving some of these a try! ❤
I love crafting
I started back at painting,
Right now i am making stuff birds , and hang them on branches ,
Very calming
But i think have done so many things then get bored
Has anyone tried loom knitting? If crochet or needle knitting is hard for you, give loom knitting a try. Tons of videos to learn from and tons of things to create.
Great ideas!
thank you my favorite was the coasters and I already have 1 in my cart!! My hobbies are sewing and embroidery (machine). I also like to decorate with flower arrangements
Fun ideas
What an invigorating and fun video to watch on this dreary, rainy day! Thank you for some fresh ideas!💜🤍
I would like one of those new bird feeders with the built in camera for bird watching. I like to do picture by sticker books. You match stickers to numbers to build a picture and of course coloring.
Loved your hobby ideas! My youngest daughter gave me the legacy journal for me to fill in. Especially the coasters for gifts. And I signed up for Craftsy ❤️🤗🙏 for u & Jason.
Love all you showed us . I'm going to get the Crime puzzle one for sure . Love from Texas
So fun to see some of the new hobbies people have and how they got started. I learned to knit from my mom, and I really enjoy making scarves, plate holders, etc. I am very interested in making the coasters. I have so many wooden candle lids that I have collected so I am hoping to use those. Thank you for all the fun ideas.
I’m a paper crafter and I have done several diamond dots which I love very much
Great video!
Years ago I got a flower press that is made out of two clay panels (1/2" thick, 6" square) with two 1/4" felt pieces to go between the clay pieces. Two pieces of thin cotton cloth protect the felt from any flower juice. The beauty of this set up is that you can microwave your flowers. In one or two minutes you have dried flowers. I used it for many different kinds of flowers and it worked really well.
I like the idea of your flower drying set up, mine’s real low rent. I use a plate a bunch of paper towels and a brick in my microwave. It works but yours sounds much better.
I knit and crochet.
Hi Leslie! Can you link to the dog puzzle that you were working on that is on your puzzle board? Thanks!😊
❤❤❤❤❤
Great ideas. I'm definitely going to try to make the coasters and maybe some others. I have newly taken on making wreaths and it is consuming me for a bit.
Laura at Garden Answer youtube has some videos on flower pressing and ideas for using them!
I’m going to start a new hobby. I’ve let my previous hobbies go by the wayside. I made wreaths, flower arrangement and I embroidered. I’m going to try one of your suggestions. Not sure which one yet. Thanks ❤ Oh and my son won some puzzles which we don’t have room to work, might just get that board too 😊
I love picking up new hobbies. I have two hobbies in progress: soap making and mosaic tiling. i really like the flower press idea but what will you do with the pressed flowers?
This was a great resource! Great gift ideas for others as well! One question about the criminal mind book. There's nothing creepy or gruesome is there? I know it's criminal mind but is it positive or dark?
I love baking and cooking the most. Baking is new, cooking has been a growing love for decades. Gardening is great and DIY is always a great option. Love teaching myself how to do little projects around the house! Now that I have time on my hands the options seem endless! Thanks for your helpful tips!
Maybe a dumb question, but what do you then do with the pressed flowers?
I wouldn’t call this just a hobby, more like a way of life (when following Jesus), but I’m currently participating in the Bible in a Year podcast. It is FABULOUS! It is done by a priest, but you don’t have to be Catholic to be a part of it ❤
obsessing over some imaginary guy isn't a hobby, that's just sad 💀
I am doing the bible in a year and I love it!❤️😊
