He said that at first nazis just collected food and did not particularly torment them, but when the Red Army launched a counter-attack, and the nazis started to retreat, they burned and killed everyone on their way back. His village was completely burned down, but most of inhabitants escaped in the forest before nazis came. He joined small partisan group. When the Red army reached them, he joined them and reached Vienna, where he died of his wounds. RIP to all the defenders, ordinary people who had to endure such suffering.
