Some units were well trained and well equipped and some were not. A group of Swedish volunteers died fighting in the last days of the war in Berlin, attempting a breakthrough. There is a photo of a halftrack marked with the SS Nordland emblem.
One thing you have to remember, people did not do it because they loved killing, they did it to protect their countries. And atrocities are committed on all sides in war, especially in the red army and even today. Would you fight or risk your girlfriends and daughters getting raped to death by the red army's advance?

It so funny how there has to be a disclaimer on nazis but if it were a video of churchhill in Germany there, be nothing of the sort. It shows how historical events are picked out so only one side is bad. Winston Churchill killed 25,000 - 200,000 civilias in the dresden bombings alone not to mention how he bombed Berlin 2 times while hitler said he did not want a world war. If you use logic when thinking of the holocaust and say it wasn't the way its said to be you are called a "holocaust denier" as if to slander anyone who thinks differently. Also, your argument about Hitler "not wanting to start a world war" literally doesnt matter because just because someone doesnt start a war doesnt make them good. Churchill didnt even start the war. Those bombings were rather tame compared to the literal 6 million deaths on the Jews alone, and I do not think they suffered the same fate as a quick and painless death, no they were starved and mistreated and were killed like animals.
