Epic Narratives with 14 songs felt short, you'll be surprised by the quality of all the new songs. Fully recommend it.

After some thinking about it, I think, it's a big misunderstanding, that LOVEBITES has lost its thrashy DNA when Miho left!
We should also remember, that Miho's last contribution after Clockwork Immortality (6 years ago) was only 3 songs on Electric Pentagram (almost 5 years ago). Also, "Raise Some Hell" and "Set The World On Fire" is credited for Miyako.
BTW: IIRC "LOVEBITES EP II" is already LOVEBITES' most successful EP with respect to national rankings!

Well it was not awfull but TMG is simply another Time and we are use from Babymetal a bit more than just Background singers. With a better mix it might have worked a bit better.

Ayami and Suzuka were both in Karen Girl's before SG. Koba discovered her at that time. He told in an interview that he noticed that Suzuka was perfect to front a metal band and it was very direct to him. So, it makes no sense that Ayami was his first choice.
TMG's "Eternal Flames" is a great song and thousands millions times better that that other thing you mentioned (and I try to forget). 😁

The rumour that he originally wanted Ayami has been doing the rounds for years. I've heard it from multiple people.

@@teuchterloon9130 BABYMETAL fandom is full of rumours. Luckily most of them are harmless like this particular rumour we are talking about or that Su runs on a treadmill while singing when she trains. Which has never been said by anyone from team babymetal but still people preach it like it's gospel:D. My point is that just because a rumour is circulating in the fandom doesn't mean it has any legitimacy behind it.

Nice job the two of you :)
I dislike pre-release spoilers. I was very disappointed that I'd heard nearly half of "Epic Narratives" beforehand. Because of that, it feels like we waited a couple years since Unleash for another EP. I think it's especially egregious for a few of the songs because when we heard them we didn't know that they were going to be part of the album. If we had known they were going to be part of the album it would feel like, "Cool, let's get a taste of what the next album is going to sound like." But not this time. The way they did it this time not only didn't build hype, it actually detracted from it. Very strange decision.
I would have rather had "Protect You", "Shambles", "Memorable" and "Bestie" on an EP and waited a bit longer for a full-length with a higher proportion of new songs. Maybe throw "Seasoned" on the EP as well.
Here's to hoping we don't have to wait another 33 months for the next full-length from them.

It's incredibly annoying when bands release teasers for songs. Just release the song!! I don't listen to/watch any teasers, though. I want it all to be fresh when I eventually hear it. Bands should be banned from releasing more than two singles per album - one prior to release and one after the release, maybe 6 months down the line. Epic Narratives only had 7 new songs out of 14 tracks, but they're not the only ones doing this. RAS released their 2nd album a couple of months ago and of the 14 tracks, only 4 were new. The rest were old singles and songs they'd already played live.
I heard about Ayami being the first choice for BM vocalist years ago. Can't remember who told me and I've no idea what the original source was, but I love the thought of Ayami with Yui and Moa. Ayami is still the best vocalist SG ever produced and my favourite singer in the world.
