Such a powerful statement - God redeeming situations doesn't mean that the bad was good. The Bible lists so many things that God hates: evil, boastful spirit, lying tongue, feet that are swift to do evil, hands that shed innocent blood, murder, hating your brother, sexual immorality, greediness etc.
Yes, that is a powerful, clarifying statement indeed.
