Cast Down is needed, and in my opinion, you should use the Snackers like they were Phoenixes and try to Brainstorm them into play on your opponent turn.
@@celeste-y9x yeah, that deck is really impressive now. In paupergeddon when that affinity player gained 7 with reckoners bargain the madness player grinded right through it!

@@anoobindisguise4337 yeah, might be good. I’d have to test it. I was worried that it leaves you down a card but maybe discarding and returning snackers makes up for it
Great to see ub getting the love it deserves, max I suggest taking a look at Michael Jacobs' build who went 5-1 at the creators showdown with a really cool version, but further away from the traditional ub.
@@diogovieiradasilva yup, I remember seeing that list, and I mention potentially playing the modern age like him a few times. Perhaps his list is better

We're testing the same deck at the same time. Annoyed with stranded Snackers in hand I tried Merfolk Pupil because it sounded sweet as a mill hit, but ultimately cut the 8 self mill effects for Modern Age and Careful Study. Neither are card positive but Modern Age blocks opposing 2/1 flyers or beats, and Careful Study hits the 3 card a turn threshold better than the 8 millers. Thoughts?
@@hexennacht. don’t think that’s the best way to go. I could see cutting all the scours/mental notes and playing a more controlling build but I don’t really like cutting them for careful study modern age. I like MTGO weird "balance" mechanic of making infinite combos harder to play by virtue of lots of clicks & the nature of the clock, which changes the meta immensely and I'm in favour of it for pauper. Infinite combos are neat but being the mainstay becomes boring fast.

@@SnapBolt They're definitely talking about Pauperganda, but he's stated a bunch of times he doesn't do leagues for his channel anymore because there was too much stream sniping going on.
