The first terminator was programed to kill her in 1984 it failed but in the second one the terminator was reprogrammed to protect John and another one was sent to kill him it was called the t 1000 an advanced prototype made out liquid metal
Sarah is gonna have a son (John Connor) who in the future will lead the human resistance against Skynet - a defense computer system that launches nukes at Russia which in turn causes a nuclear war and kills everyone on Earth. They then create Terminator's to hunt and kill the remaining survivors. John will lead the humans and defeat Skynet in the war. In order to stop him from being born, Skynet sends a Terminator back in time to kill his mother so he's never born and they win the war. John in turn sends a soldier named Kyle Reese (the guy helping Sarah) back in time to save Sarah.

What happen was Skynet was an A.I. that got self aware and itself to every technology on the planet and launch a nuclear against humanity, the rest of human race that survive the nuclear war was lead by John Conner Sarah's son leader of the human resistance they had almost won the war against Skynet, so Skynet built a new Terminator model 101sent it to the past to stop the birth of John, so the resistance sent a lone soldier to protect Sarah

Terminator 2 will always go down in history as one of if not the greatest sequel movie ever created as well as the best blend of CGI. The first movie is seems like this that make it iconic and ageless. Some of the scenes like the Terminator doing self-repair looks cheesy and beyond dated even for its time however if it had re-mastered that scene with today's visuals that movie would hold its own. Furthermore this movie's version of Kyle Reese is the best Kyle Reese ever to have graced the screen. The Terminator would also specify it is a cybernetic organism living tissue over metal endoskeleton equipped with a high-power CPU chip.

What really gets me about these reaction videos , is when the viewers always seem surprised about the age of the actors. Duh, this movie was over 40 years ago. Of course actors in this movie were young at the time this flick debuted in the 80s. SMDH. Do you think people are born old ?????
