That’s the goal this year! We just finished up sketches for a trailer. Plan on making plans for sliders, rear bumper carrier, and an overland trailer and capturing the content this year!
So when we did this about 2 years ago we took and take up the metal circle to the wall in the garage and the cardboard template. The template fell within about 2 weeks and to this day that metal cut it is still hanging lol.
Do you think you can get away without affixing to the A pillar? I know you can on some of the snorkels for the Tacoma. I am looking at buying a 2023 4Runner and don’t mind cutting the fender, but the A pillar is a solid no from me.
You can, but I didn’t want it breaking free getting caught by a branch. I’m never getting rid of the runner so I wanted it locked in for life. You can do 3M double sided tape but again just wanted it locked in
Did you feel like the stud closest too the door frame needed to be longer? Getting ready to install mine and seen a few comments about swapping that one for a longer version.
Hi, I would like to know if drilling on the column is necesaryofr the install. I saw other videos where that was not done. Just want to make sure I do not drill holes that maybe are not needed. Thanks.
So the instructions call for drilling there, but others use 3M double sided tape instead. Do it at your own discretion. For me I didn’t want to worry about a limb catching it and ripping it hard from up there so I decided to do the rivets but I almost went with the 3M tape myself.
We went with the same snorkel and love it works just as well as the ARB and a bit better price. I will say to help keep the air cleaner turn the spout around facing backwards it will help keep the air filter cleaner for longer. A friend here around Amarillo does it on his FJ and told me about it well worth it.
@@flatlandadventure7123 The sy-klone 9001 I've looked at and will probably do eventually myself. Just a bit high for right now but it's just a time game much like a full rear bumper.
That’s the point of the snorkel. After adding the bumper the intake sucked in lots of dirt and had to clean consistently. I later cleaned the filter and airbox but was in a rush because I had meetings in the afternoon that day haha
Best snorkel install video on the Entire Net !!!
ah geeze, thanks for being a good pal!
@@flatlandadventure7123 whole freaking NET!
I really like the production quality and style of this video. You should make time to create more content if life allows!

That’s hilarious haha
Can’t wait to put a snorkel on my work van!
Also, what type of disk did you use for the dremel?
I just used the dremel cut off wheel, I went through about 2 to 3 in the whole process.

I’m thinking about throwing on a prefilter at some point still up in the air though.

Great video, thank you! Now, as for cutting up the fender and drilling into the A pillar of my $46k truck? No, No, No!!!!
Haha I know hard to swallow… the fender didn’t worry me because it’s easy to swap out, but the pillar was a different story…
Buddy clean your airbox.
