That might work instead of drilling it. My concern is weathering to the double sided tape causing the snorkel to move and somehow the hoseclamp failing and causing water/debris to enter to the engine. Just some thought. If you decide to do it, let me know how it works out.
I would like for this guy to install it on my 4runner is he down in SoCal still? I’ve read it here somewhere in the comments… beautiful install and care taken.
Good video. You did make me super nervous with that hole saw though I would have just used a dremel. At least that's what I'm planning on next week. Also the way that air intake is just wide open waiting for something to fly in there...

@otzlee explains Do you know if snorkels are legal? Would a smog station smog our vehicles that snorkels installed on an OEM or CARB compliant airbox?

There’s a few kits out there but I really like the arb kit. I helped my buddy install a doberson kit and they didn’t even include the template.

How does it handle on the highway/long hauls? Any flex or noise
It’s super solid once it’s installed. Not coming off. No noise, cleaner air filter
