honestly I remember people were overall disappointed with this story quest, there were other events that had more on Kazuha's past, like the 2nd golden apple archipelago and the irodori festival. I hope after you're all caught up you might consider reacting to some past events! a few of them have unfortunately quite a bit of lore on characters. but great video as always!
Yeah this wasn't the best story quest that is for sure. It was lacking Kazuha really in the sense of learning more about who he is and more of his history. This to me was more his sword's Story Quest lol I still enjoyed it but wanted more from it. I am going to have to check that event out too, I have a whole list with past events to check out which will be fun
I recommend watching someone play the Golden Apple Archipelago event from before Sumeru's release- It had a lot of lore for Xinyan/Fischl/Mona/Kazuha, and canonically happens shortly before the Sumeru archon quest.

This was a good quest but honestly, the Irodori Festival and the Summertime Odyssey (2nd Golden Apple Archipelago) gave more lore about Kazuha. If you can, I recommend watching a playthrough of those quests. Aside from Kazuha, the Irodori Festival lore is also connected to Scaramouche/Wanderer. This is also the reason why Kazuha's story quest is a pre-requisite quest before doing the quest "Inversion of Genesis".
I did enjoy this Story Quest but it just felt lacking for Kazuha honestly. I wanted more from it and really feel like we got to dive a bit deeper into who Kazuha is. I will have to check those event quests out because I would really love to learn more about him.

Basically there were 5 swordsmith clans/schools in the past working under the shogun, but 3 of them were completely massacred by someone you'll find out soon. Kazuha's dad put an end to their swordsmith practice to protect his family. Only the Amenoma art still survives to this day. I don't think his story quest was bad, I liked that it moved on from current things, but the past limited events retold his past in details (it extended details off of his teaser).

If you pulled for Kazuha, it would only be polite to do his Story Quest. I can't remember if you managed to get him, but if you didn't, i imagine it's punishment for ignoring his Story Quest.
ps: i got Kazuha very early on. And he's been my star character since. He's my version of your Cyno. (Tho, of course, they play entirely differently)

even tho many people dont love this quest it does give good lore points. consciousness can be put into objects and we learned about the past of the sword clans and a bit about tatarasuna. all of these might be useful for your future endeavors
Yeah this quest was good but it didn’t feel like a Kazuha Story Quest, I wanted more of him. I did really like the fact that consciousness and be put into weapons which is super interesting like you said. Super cool quest though.

Well I thought I have already told you Things such as-
1- Chasm Dark Mud
2-Karma from which Xiao suffers from
3-Tataragami
4- Forbidden Knowledge
5- Marana
6- Dvalin's Poisen Spike (You shoot in boss fight)
7- God Remains
And probably more names that I am not able to remember are just form of Abyssal Energies. Abyssal Energies take these forms when dwelling in teyvat and Abyssal energies are like mirror version of Ley Lines. Infact it is said that Abyssal Energies flow just like ley lines in Abyssal Realm (Yess that a thing, It is said that there are 2 realms. 1st is Light realm where teyvat exists in which leylines flow and 2nd is Void Realm where Abyssal Energies flow.)
The Abyss' "unworldly" power is diametrically opposed to the Light Realm's and can corrupt entities from the Human Realm, which are under Celestia's dominion. The Void Realm's dark currents are analogous to the Human Realm's Ley Lines and the Light Realm's elemental currents.
Its darkness is extremely harmful towards elemental beings such as Vishaps and elemental dragons, although they are capable of repelling the darkness by harnessing the Light Realm's power. (Yess, Thats why Vision user can repel the effects of Dark Miasmic Powers such as Karma, Tatarigami, Withering etc because as it is said in the paragraph "By harnessing the power of Light realm you can repel the effects of Abyss on you, And By using Vision you are using Ley Lines and Ley Lines are part of Light realm)
And thats why delusions work.
Visions utilise Ley Lines as the power source for elemental emergies meanwhile Delusions tap into the Abyssal Power to Elemental Energy Conversion.
I love his quest (maybe is bc he is my fav char kakssksk)

Kazuha is such a great character with so much depth for sure. I was really hoping that we were going to lean more about Kazuha and dive deep into his past but we really didn't get that with this Story Quest unfortunately. I enjoyed this quest for sure but I was just hoping for more Kazuha if that makes sense. Kazuha is a great character so it is easy to ramble on about him
@@K1ngBard oh yes very understandable actually! This quest told more about Kazuha's personality and how he will deal with someone who used to do evil but is now trying to right his wrongs 🍃
Sadly, the Kazuha deep lore dive were in two limited events 🥲 (Irodori Festival + Kagotsurube Isshin description, and Golden Apple "Summer Fantasia", in case you want to check them out 👀). These tell about what happened to Kazuha's ancestors, and how he chose to move forward instead of clinging to the past 🥺🍁
This is why i'm hoping there will be a permanent story about Kazuha learning of the remaining Isshin knowledge from Niwa through Wanderer someday, now that Sumeru Interlude is done 🙏

Long stuff ahead. Up to you to read it or not.
I know most people will talk about it in the comments, but when this story quest dropped, a lot people didn't like it. Myself included. 2 big events had come and gone before this that also went way way more into Kazuha's past, and not only was this quest the end to Kazuha overload, but also underwhelming with the information we got before hand.
BUT, Kazuha's lore is very intertwined into Inazuma's lore, and a certain Harbinger. And... considering what quest you're aiming for, I'm going to lore dump on you. Read it or don't, but it might be better than watching hours of old content, and might be helpful going forward. To other commenters; this is super condensed. Yes there will be things missing and context removed. Calm down.
Everything starts with the creation of Scaramouche. After Ei left him on his own, he was found by Niwa (Kazuha's ancestor) and others who then took him in. They taught him much and worked on the furnace in Tatarasuna. After being "betrayed" by Niwa, Scaramouche left Tatarasuna. A few generations later, Scara showed back up and sabotaged the Raiden Gokaden. The Kamisato clan (Ayaka and Ayato's clan) and the Kaedehara clan were affected by this. Ayato's father worked himself to death to regain their clan's honor, which Ayato (and Ayaka) carry on to this day. The Kaedehara clan form did not recover, and was further tarnished by Kazuha becoming a fugitive during the Vision Hunt Decree.
What does this have to do with this story quest? That's for you to figure out.

I can see why this Story Quest wasn't a fan favorite and I agree, this Story Quest was lacking honestly. It didn't have enough Kazuha honestly, I was really wanting to learn more about him and his past but it was so focused on the sword.
I am going to check out those events a few people have suggested that were better quests for Kazuha so that will be fun.

This one is a very interesting story, not the best as it's less focused kazuha and more on the npc that happened to be related to his past

Yeah I was hoping that we were going to get more Kazuha's past and learn more about him through this Story Quest but unfortunately that wasn't the case. It really did feel like it was the sword's Story Quest lol I enjoyed the Story Quest but it isn't one of my favs. I honestly didn't even realize that we got to keep the sword until I was told in the comments today
I’m so glad you did the quest! I know it feels slightly slow but it’s more about lore than it really is about Kazuha. Also, idk if you figured out how to use Kazuha but you were talking about how his damage with the sword was decreasing “he’s only doing 500” “he’s only doing 400”. Kazuha is not meant to do any physical damage nor do much with his normal attacks. He is very strong, you weren’t looking at the right numbers. He’s anemo, he was swirling elemental damage on every enemy for multiple thousands (you can see it with his skill and burst) He is meant to be a support/ buffer but with his swirl dmg, it actually contributes a lot. Super fun character kit

I enjoyed this story quest but I wanted more Kazuha from it, I was hoping to learn more about him in this quest.
@@K1ngBard the thing was that we had a lot more info about him in limited events around the same time. 2.6 Irodori festival and this quest came in 2.8 alongside the 2nd golden apple archipelago that was heavy on Kazuha lore. I recommend you watch videos of those two events, I'm sure you'll like it
Yeah this story quest was underwhelming. They released his backstory in an event like Albedo sadly. Which was really interesting and made me like him more.
I agree completely! Even though I enjoyed this quest, it didn't feel like Kazuha's Story Quest. It really felt like the swords Story Quest which was cool and all but I was hoping to learn more about Kazuha.
AAA IM SO EXCITED FOR THE INVERSION OF GENESIS QUEST!!!! It's probably among my favorite among the interludes (although the others are amazing too) (I may be biased though since it was first released right when I started playing)

All the cutscenes that involve kazuha just becomes top tier just because his presence and philosophical depth in his small gestures and you do not know how much you just missed not being able to participate in the golden apple archipelago event...... the one at the end of Inazuma. And I am heavily..... HEAVILY biased to him in everything just because I love poems and artistic things in general. He's just everything I'd put in the protag of my fantasy adventure novel✨

I recommend watching 2nd Golden Apple Archipelago event story to better understand Kazuha. Sadly his story quest is worse than his event story, same as Albedo's💀

I rock this sword on my kaeya simply because it looks so cool. It doesn't really fit him build wise tho
While it doesn't give as much insight into Kazuha's character as some past temporary events(such as the 2nd Golden Apple Archipelago), it's an interesting quest none the less.
I will have to check that out because I did miss a bit of Kazuha in this, I really was hoping it was going to be more about Kazuha all together.
It's a shame that the Isshin blade isn't at all a good weapon for Kazuha, if only it had EM as a sub stat, then certainly it would.
