Wow, absolutely lovely! Don't sell yourself short[all that work, and the eye that can see the original beauty beneath the crap stain]. Go for $500, at least! I love raw wood, beautiful designs and gorgeous wall papers. You have outdone yourself. Well done!
So glad you put all that wood on display! I'm fascinated by the fact that it's sort of pieced together -- as though they ran out of the wood they were using or something splintered, so they patched it with some other bits and pieces of wood. But the fit of those patched pieces must have taken a fair amount of skill. Done at a time when materials were more expensive than labor maybe? It's a beauty now, the way you redid it.
Thanks so much! Yes, I agree - the way those scrap pieces were used is actually kind of amazing, and that upside down triangle piece on the top of the right side (looking at the cabinet) door is one of my favorite parts. 😊
I love an asian aesthetic, so this is exactly my style. The tile design transfers you used aren't exactly in keeping with the asian theme, but they still work really well. I think the paint and transfers bring it into a fusion of asian and modern rustic styles, which makes the piece more versatile.
wow!!! yup, there WAS gold in them thar hills!!! what a unique piece! and those carvings, that hardware.. beautiful save on this! im really interested to learn how you price this unique beauty--i'd be stumped too, it's so NOT vanilla. gorgeous renewal on this! thanks for sharing 💗
Andy Deerheart, a wonderful project as usual I absolutely love your work if I were still working as an interior designer, I would have loved to use you as a resource for clients looking for unique piece. Bravo dear.
Love the cabinet and your take on it. The only thing I would have done was dry brush black or greyish brown paint or dark waxed the lower hinges to match the upper hinges' patina, but you got a great match on the gold color. Overall the look is great. Love Love love the wallpaper.
That turned out very nice indeed. I love the dark green stippling on the doors and the dark wallpaper on the interior - adds so much whimsy........ love it!♥
Dear Ms. Andy, I have had an epiphany while watching your latest masterpiece (the piece and the video, both). I have always thought of painting furniture as a money-making endeavor; thinking how can I do this faster, with the least amount of materials and labor, in order to make any sort of profit? Well, guess what? No more of that thinking! I am going to fall in love with the process and CREATE BEAUTIFUL THINGS. Letting my creativity flow and letting go of that restricting thinking is going to change everything. I can feel it! I THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART! Wish me luck❤😂😊!
WOW, this is such a joy to read, thank you so much for sharing!! I too struggled with what my goals should be in the beginning - but quickly realized I experienced so much joy from "listening" to each piece, and creating something I loved. I am so happy for you, and wish you all the luck in the world! Happy creating!!! 😍🙏
I love what you did with the carvings. Really made them pop and covered the red problem. Why is green controversial? I love green especially the earthy sages and mossy tones. Great job.
Yay, thank you so much!! I love green too - and I think I always will - but it's interesting how many folks will comment that they are not a fan of it or are getting tired of it, etc. 🤷♀️
I love the freshened up version. The wallpaper is nice, and I really like the green paint touches. The first price that came to my mind is $475, but idk?
I love the green paint you used on the door panels. It really made the carvings pop. The wallpaper in the interior was an excellent choice. It gave a very oriental look to it. I know you went for a raw wood style but I think a black or red lacquer would have looked good too.
I love all the different woods coming together to make one piece! Personally I would prefer no stencils, and I love the stapling around the door decor and LOVE the wallpaper! This type of piece is perfect in an entryway to hold the bag one takes to work every day but needs it out of site when company comes!
Wow Andy that was stunning. So many options but she turned out al dente. I jumped straight on the internet to see if my local stockists have that transfer and would love to use that wallpaper somewhere too. Very inspiring 🧡🧡🧡
I love the carving! It was genius to stipple on the green paint in the background. William Morris wallpaper would also have been a good choice inside. ❤❤❤
It now looks authentic. The painted base is just what it needed to support the chest's new exotic look . The wall paper is chef's kiss. One question how does the wood dry without the wood grain lifting after washing and rinsing? I am always impressed. And the chest looks well traveled, tea or liquor cabinet
Thanks so much!! So glad you liked that paper too. 🖤 I always dry off my pieces with a big towel right away to get the majority of water, and our air is usually very dry, so as long as there is some kind of existing finish on the piece, it isn't a problem. But only with solid wood! Gotta watch out for pressed board...😅
Wow, your vision and intuition are always so spot on! This was definitely a labor of love. I understand your dilemma about pricing. At first I was thinking $300 but why not aim high, you can always come down or accept a lesser offer - go $500! Thanks for another great fable.
Beautiful redesign! The green paint really made the carvings pop. As you know from my previous comments, I am not the biggest fan of wallpaper on furniture. This time, however,--don't faint!--I love it!!!
Put it under the camera lens and look for similar and get an idea on the price. That cabinet came out absolutely beautiful, another great transformation. Always look forward to your projects. great success to you and yours.
It's so pretty! I missed today's live show because I had a much less fun project going on-- but I have some ideas for a very yellow pine two drawer filing cabinet/bedside table. I think that green is it! My favorite-- I know green is divisive, but I'm a solid fan. Of green, and of Andi-ideas!
When you said you weren't sure of how much to sell it for, I immediately thought $375.00 in our (ruralish Midwest) market. It really is beautifully done. Thanks for continuing to show us how you do these transformations. It really is a lot of work, and I'm glad that you share ALL of the components of making tired old furniture beautiful again.
Ahhhhh, it looks so much better now! It's lovely and such a good size; just big enough, but not too big. It could be used for so many different things: books, china, table linens, blankets and throws, collectibles and tchotchkes, love it! I personally would use it for my ever growing perfume collection 😊
The way you dealt with the door carvings and the hardware is brilliant! The wallpaper is stunning and gorgeous against the dark wood on the interior. One might use this as a display cabinet but my first thought was blanket/throw/quilt storage. It may just be the lighting but to me the base seems much brighter than the same paint behind the carving. I almost think it might benefit from dark wax or walnut stain as a wash. This is such a beautiful and moody piece, I would think $500. I love this one!🌸
Thanks so much! 😊 Yes, I was thinking of adding an antiquing glaze, but ran out of time for the video...maybe I'll still do that. So glad you liked this one, and thanks for the vote of confidence on the price!
I LOVE IT!!!! It screams Narnia and magic. Right up my alley. I cannot stop staring at it. I would pay whatever you ask, because I would have this one forever. For sure what you are thinking is below the mark, but for someone like me $500 would be easy to manage and would feel good about it. Even though it's a mix, it is solid wood and most likely exotic woods at that. Thank you for showing this one!!!❤❤❤❤❤
The cabinet is really very pretty. It would look great in many different decor styles. The wallpaper is lovely. I am impressed with how well you matched the pattern and trimmed the edges especially with how you had to hang over the side!
You always give me courage to follow my vision, and to not shy away from doing what it takes to get that result. Thanks as always for mixing fun with practicality!
PERFECTION!!! Your creative powers know no bounds! Doubted a few of your choices along the way. Why do I do that? Andy, I love everything about this beautiful art piece. And that wallpaper! Oh my.
Once again, you took the Asian cabinet to another level. It is positively beautiful! You brought such life back into the floral fronts that they look good enough to nosh on. Ask no less than $500.00 if not more.
I always enjoy your videos. Again Andy, well done. You are correct. Dealing with pieces thinking raw wood, and discovering it is not all raw wood is a big challenge. Can look clownish if not done right. You made the right decisions where needed. Adding the wallpaper and transfers gave it a dramatic modern look. In your part of US, there are deep pockets. I am sure it will go for $500 easily out there.
I love it! It needed everything you did to it, the paint, transfers, sanding and polishing up the hardware. It is a really unique piece and each bit of mismatched wood makes it so interesting.
I feel this may have been one of those import fair trade type furniture that places like Peir One, Alibaba and Hobby Lobby import.. it turned into a lovely little thing even with the patches.. I love it .. a bathroom or kitchen storage cabinet is where my mind went..
Andy, your work is simply mesmerizing! Sometimes I catch myself admiring a piece you’re working on from afar, knowing I’d be afraid to even lay a finger on it. I get a bit squeamish thinking about the mysterious origins of the dirt and grime it may have collected over time. I joke to myself that I might need a hazmat suit just to handle it! But watching you transform it with your incredible talent and dedication to perfection is truly awe-inspiring. The transfers and wallpaper you chose for the project are absolutely stunning. Bravo on a job well done!
Best treatment yet! Beautiful cabinet finally up to its design, proportions, and style. I have an identical locking mechanism on my lavatory cabinet. Thanks for sharing your work.
What a transformation ! You always amaze me with your ability to see the beauty in a piece. As I watched each addition of your inspiration come to life it put a smile on my face. I absolutely love it
Loved it! The wallpaper is beautiful and is perfect for the piece. I especially like how the paint on the front made the carvings stand out. I'm not fond of green but it was a brilliant idea.
Cyd in MD. You worked so hard on this one and it shows. Being lazy...I would probably just have salvaged the doors :-) and used them as wall decor. It's a rainy blah day here and you brought me sunshine, as always.
Raw it is! Healthy new life for this piece. I enjoy your videos so much. Exciting to see your vision unfold and then the reveal. I hope some has the perfect spot for this piece.
Oh you are so clever! Not only with the actual restoration but also with the editing and the music and camera. And I love how the videos have a theme. At first I was confused when you listed the materials as food but then had a little giggle. Very clever and very funny! Please let us know what it sells for. Thank you for all the hard work creating these videos.
Love this transformation! It belongs in a spa filled with soft towels and massage oils.....
Oh wow, love that! Thank you!
Gorgeous final result ❤ $500 sounds like a steal.
Wow, many thanks!!
Wow, absolutely lovely! Don't sell yourself short[all that work, and the eye that can see the original beauty beneath the crap stain]. Go for $500, at least! I love raw wood, beautiful designs and gorgeous wall papers. You have outdone yourself. Well done!
Wow, thank you so much! That's so great to hear. 😍🙏😊
I was thinking the same thing, in the $500-$600 range. It's a wonderful piece and you definitely did it justice.
Another piece of fabulosity🎉 I love her❤
Yay, thank you so much! 😍
I immediately thought at least $500. Another beautiful transformation
Wow, many thanks!!
Rah, Rah, Raw! This piece shows us that sometimes, when supported well and in a good environment, the “raw” initial yields a “well done” final.
LOVE it. 👏 Many thanks!!

Love your outfit, accessories, and hair in this one
Thank you so much!!
Oh she’s pretty and unique… $579 sounds like a fair price for all the restoration and creativity you invested into her!! Well done 🙏💕🎉
Wow, thank you so much!
I like 579 cool
Well done Lass! Great re-design for a reproduction piece! :-) Love the paint colour! :-) Bravo! MQH
Many thanks! 🙏😍⭐️
I always think you can get top dollar for your creations - this one could be $650 but maybe realistically $450. I love it - it's very special!
Wow, that is so awesome to hear, thank you so much! And love that pricing insight...👍😍

Woo-hooo! ⭐️ Thank you so much - I'll do an update once I figure it out! 😅
You really clean your pieces thoroughly! Not afraid to bring out the hose, I love it.❤
Yep - I get wacky with that water! 💦😂
I really like the green you added to the flower detail.
Thanks! 💚
I LOVE THIS! And how can anyone have "feelings" about green? It's one of my favorites 😊
Yay, thanks so much!! Yes, me too. 💚😊
Absolutely beautiful. Did a really nice job.
Thank you so much!

Loved everything you did exept the transfer.
Thanks! Yes, not everyone's "cup of tea". 👍
Damn I wish I had the space and the money for that, it came out so beautiful

not only are your transformations amazing but the editing of your videos is top notch, if you do it all, all the more impressive
Many thanks, that is so nice to hear! I do do it all, it's truly a "one woman show" at this point, so I truly appreciate that. 😍
The results are so beautiful! You could charge as much as you think the market will bear.
Thanks so much, and very good point! 🙏😍

Many thanks!!!

Wow, if I saw that cabinet up for grabs, I would definitely snap it up. I wouldn't know what to do with it tho'. I'd come here for inspiration.

Thank you so much! Yes, it was a tad "acrobatic"! 😅 (at least for me, lol)
Five at least. It is a one of a kind work of art. Beautiful!

Hi Andy! May God continue to bless you so you can keep sharing your talents he blessed you with. Beautiful job!
Thank you so much!
That looks so beautiful. Now you can see the mix of woods and how beautifully they are put together. It should be more than 375!! Stunning 😍 😍 😍
Thank you very much!
Smashing Andy. Love that wallpaper
Thanks so much!! 🖤

Thanks so much, appreciate your insights, and thanks for the pricing suggestion!
I love it! It needed everything you did to it, the paint, transfers, sanding and polishing up the hardware. It is a really unique piece and each bit of mismatched wood makes it so interesting.
