My husband committed suicide in 1979 at the age of 32….this is the song that helps me still feel close to him….and yet sometimes it’s very hard to listen to….thank you for including it on your show….
I lost my wife three years ago. This was the last song we ever danced to, at my daughter's wedding. This was played at her funeral. I sing it at karaoke as a calling to her...for some kind of sign.
This is one of my favourite songs by them. My uncle got me hooked on this band around 1980. I was constantly listening to tales of mystery and imagination album.
One of my all time favorites! The smallest amount of homework would tell you much about Alan Parsons! He is rock ROYALTY! Most beautiful song indeed!!!
I remember when this came out on the radio in the early 80's. I immediately loved it. It is hauntingly beautiful. I still listen to and it makes me cry every time. I think you'd like Nights in White Satin by the Moody Blues as well.
Here's another artist that is another fantastic storyteller "Michael Martin Murphy & The Rio Grande Band - Wildfire" he has an extensive collection and if you enjoy his songs would be a great rabbit hole 🕳 🎤🎧💣🎶😊 And Here is a live performance "The Alan Parsons Live Project - Breakdown, The Raven" this has a spectacular Paramount Laser show; members were - Alan Parsons: Guitar, Vocals, Keyboards, percussion Steve Murphy: Drums, PJ Olsson: Vocals, John Montagna: Bass, Manny Focarazzo: Keyboards, Alastair Greene: Guitar I think Steve Murphy does an exceptional job on the vocals and all while playing a completely different rhythm at the same time, and the high level of his drumming skills & technique just shine...Fantastic stuff 🥁👏🔥🤗💖
They have a nice catalog , Games people play , I wouldn't want to be like you , Don't answer me , If you like this you need to check out "old and wise" ... Beautiful song kind of a tear jerker !
This is a masterpiece! They have a bunch of great songs if you want horns try dammed if I do and if you want sax then old and wise and if you want more rock then pycobabble !

I play this on the anniversary of my late wife's passing every year.
She probably is listening and would say, we play this all the time!!!

They have quite a few good songs. Prime Time is a good one.
Ffs did you even listen to the words? Yes a very beautiful song but… the lyrics are gut wrenching.
