Should we rotate the neck to the "easy" side? I mean, if t1 is rotated to the right side, the transversa is more salientae on the right, the Spinose process is more on the left should the neck be rotated to the right side (the facilitated, probably less pain) or to the other side (like puting the spinous processs closer to the correct place)? This is a doubt i have for long time.
Hello Doc ! do we have to laterally bend the neck and thrust it simultaneously with the transverse thrust at CT junction ? I have seen many osteopath thrusting the neck too in lateral motion. is it correct to do so .?
I get annoyed when people say "show me the evidence." People have no idea how much evidence is out there and especially how to interpret it. I love when my patient's say this so I can educate them on good studies been conducted all the time. I'll admit there is a lot of evidence that is not great but at least it is being done and improved upon. Maybe Chris your like some of my patient's who do not take any responsibility in their care to make themselves better, make a bunch of excuses, then state that PT or chiropractic did not work for them. Not all people are appropriate for therapy, but like John, I see many people get well, meet their goals, and walk out of doors feeling like they can live again.
so basically you're saying that people should stop asking questions and just believe. all the later is just not-to-the-point-speaking. please, do give us some scientific reference
@@ogladaczr.t.3168 no. As a patient my osteopath advises me to do pilates to strengthen my core and I do. It means my pain is less and her treatments are needed less frequently and when I do see her she only has to tweak a few things, rather than undoe the damage that's been done because I'm living life without taking preventative measures . An osteopath should work with you to increase your wellbeing .Not just keep fixing you because you don't take personal responsibility for yourself.
*patients. No apostrophe. *you're. I'm guessing you’re from the US and English is your first language. And you claim to be a doctor. So I think I must point out your grammatical errors. Because I wonder how you got your degrees.
Chris Kovach I spent many years training at Oxford, treated over 30,000 patients and written four books and you call me a quack....interesting comment!!
Doctor or I should say quack doctor. There's no scientific evidence that spinal manipulation works. In America at your treatment does not fly too well. Only 10% of our population will go to a chiropractor and even more or less we'll go to it a osteopathic physician. Where's the science?. I could reference quackwatch and sciencebasedmedicine.org which proves that spinal manipulation is a pseudoscience. I myself had Chiropractic adjustments and physical therapy - and nothing worked
Chris Kovach Hi Chris, to be honest it doesn't matter what you say because my son died 4 wks ago and he was only 17 years old and had the rest of his life ahead of him and I am away trying to understand why this has happened to me...
Oh no! Such tragedy! That's absolutely devastating, John... Be strong and try to continue your work and great things you do for others that make this world a better place! Your son would be proud of you.
Very nice explanation. We learned it as a upper thoracic facet lock thrust
Glad it helped
