    What I like about all of your videos is that you first explain everything show how to first test, than the mobilisatie/manipulation and after that test again. I've see a lot of videos but yours are so professional.

    I couldn’t tell the difference between a rotation thrust and a side thrust. They both looked so similar!

    • @JohnGibbons
      @JohnGibbons  5 років тому +1

      There is a very subtle difference between the two techniques and that what makes the difference, regards JG

    Why do you rotate and side flex contralaterally? Is the goal of manipulating to achieve maximum open or close? ie: flexion, side flexion away, rotate away then HVT over top?, extension SF and rotate towards for full closure then HVT over top?

    • @JohnGibbons
      @JohnGibbons  7 років тому +3

      I side bend the cervical and rotate to the opposite side because I am inducing a Type 1 mechanics to a cervical spine that follows a Type 11 mechanics and need to lock to enable a cavitation. Regards JG

    So John manipulation of C2 to C7 requires side bending to the same side and contralateral rotation to lock against type type 2mechanics where in upper cervical spine the same manoeuvre but flex the neck a little bit ,am I right then ?

    Fantastic video. I am looking forward to learning this.
    For those not qualified to do Manipulations how effective is the MET? Can I clarify that the MET in this video is like the like Lev Scap MET but the client pushes in the opposite direction (towards hand) rather that than backwards into pillow?

    • @JohnGibbons
      @JohnGibbons  6 років тому +2

      Thanks for the comment and the MET with a mobilisation is just as good as a manipulation but just takes longer, it doesn't really matter which way the patient pushes (LATERAL FLEXION) as one way is PIR of MET and the other is the RI method of MET. Hope that helps, regards JG

    Im told this is probably what i need. I deal with what seems like sinus infections but treatment never works. My problem is that I do a lot of weight training and I won't trust anyone to twist or jerk my neck. I would tather have an orthopedic surgeon operate to fix it. I don't trust cirocrappers. Thats my neck. I need that and don't want to die because someone like you accendentally snaps my neck. Your patients are crazy.

    I just ran into this by action and looking for something else. It seems like you're doing a osteopathic approach to spinal manipulation. With techniques better a similar to the Chiropractic a dive devoted methods of adjusting he seemed you were focused on the cervico thoracic areas primarily lost 2 videos I saw. With audible cavitation. You must be from United Kingdom or Australia You must be from United Kingdom or Australia. Osteopaths in the US are very poor at spinal manipulation nowadays mostly into the medical model.
