Was looking for this for my E60. you did like a pro. Thumbs up dude. And thank you. The rubber seal can be reinstalled with less difficulty by spraying silicone lubricant on the edge of the b-Pillar trim where it meets with the seal and also on the seal rail.
I used this video as a guide for my 2014 Dodge Dart Rallye, and the part and connections were almost absolutely the same! Kudos for a video well done! Saved me a lot of money, and I know it was done right!
Reinstalling the rubber seal is a bit easier after wiping the back side with a mild soapy solution... a couple drops of Dawn and water mixed will do the trick
Thanks for putting up this video man. I've got my new B pillar coming in a week or so and now that I have your vid to reference, I'm pretty sure I won't eff it up. There's nothing better than to see it done rather than reading about how to do it.
Very helpful video. Had to do the same on both sides of my F31 and your video showed me the way. The F-series has 4 screws rather than 3, but that's all. I used a little wash lube to re-seat the rubber, but that was all. Many thanks.
Thank you mate your video have saved me £300 pound. My door trim was damaged and I got bmw to order for me which was about £35 and I ask them to fitted for me and how much Labour you will charge me and they side it will be £135 for one hour I was so angry. Then I want on UA-cam to have a look I saw you video that help me a lot THANK YOU SO MUCH.
I hear ya man... I couldn't find anything either, I ended up buying a BMW service manual. I'm no expert, I just like working on my own cars. Just take your time and it should be pretty easy.
OK, I changed the b-piller on my F30 BMW using this exact procedure, with two important modifications: 1, my b-piller, called an appliqué from BMW parts, has four screws instead of three. And the bottom screw is just above the weather strip. To remove the bottom screw I had to pull the rubber trim all the way out from the door. With the trim outside the door the b-pillar becomes extremely easy to remove. 2, I could not put the bottom screw back because it is hidden behind the rubber trim, and such I left it off. But the pillar is wedged in so tight into the door that there is no need.
what ab the back door, i need to replace the one on back door but really dont know how... Is it will be the same as the front.!? Thanks for the video..
Where did you buy your part? I have a 07 mazda hatch and can't seem to find the part. Only thing that seems to be available is a cover which glues on but that bs. You think you can help? Thanks
As a test I pulled out the window gasket partially to see if I see the screws. It was actually quite easy to do and the rubber was very compliant. I didn't need any tool to push the rubber back in place. Could it be that it seems to take a lot of effort to move the rubber strip around because the rubber has aged and harden? My 328i is one month old.
=) do you know how to code the car for the mirrors to fold? Was your car made before or after 3/2007? I know you need a d-can cable for cars built after that date. I have an 09 and was wondering how to do that may be I should read the forums more lol
lol I was waiting for this guy to just say "FUCK THIS SHIT MAN !!!" and grab a hammer and beat it down. Boy I wish there was a DIY video that had someone explode like a true human being.
I thought you were gonna show us how to replace the entire b pillar itself cause i need to do that. I just reversed my car out of the garage and the front door was open and i kinda crashed the door into a wall so my door pillar got totally bent. Luckily the door hinges or the window didn’t break but the door looks like shit right now. So I think I have to get a new door.
Was this a demo instructional or did you purchase an OEM to replace damaged /scraped etc. I didn't see any damage on the one you took off. Just curious why the change out Thanks in advance.
No it does not that's what I was saying with I have the option to buy the folding mirrors and the new door panel with the button, I've seen people do it without having to buy that tho. May be I'll just go that route, seems to be easier to do than coding
Brilliant video have been wanting to replace mine but didnt have the nerve until now. Thanks for sharing the video hope you can keep them coming.

Great video! No other one in that much detail! Thanks brother you just saved me a trip and 50 bucks
Just after fitting the panel there, found the clip extremely useful, cheers bro

Thanks, I used this video as a guide on my 2010 328i. The only difference was there was only two screws. Took about 15 mins.
Thank you BEESGARAGE, I was literally just about to start stripping the hole door down, u just saved me a lot of bother, cheers
great video. although it might be different, it gives me confidence to try and replace the ones on my F01 7 series Msport !
same for me on e46 :)
Man you saved me! Thanx! Same procedure for e87✌️
I hear ya man... I couldn't find anything either, I ended up buying a BMW service manual. I'm no expert, I just like working on my own cars. Just take your time and it should be pretty easy.
Thank you for posting this. You definitely saved me lots of time on my 2011 sedan. ;-)
Excellent tutorial. Thank you!
Thanks for the video buddy

pflau1 you have to watch out for vibration issues to avoid it becoming loose.
William Flynn It's a year and 20000 miles later and there is no issue.
COOL
+pflau1 request video if convenient
+... abc I already changed it 15 months ago what is there to video? 28,000 miles now and it's all good.
Are the rears the same procedure??? 🤔
what ab the back door, i need to replace the one on back door but really dont know how... Is it will be the same as the front.!?
Thanks for the video..
ThanX a lot for this video! Very useful!
Great demo! Thanks
I just ordered a rear window pillar for my E90, hopefully it's pretty much the same procedure?
Thanks, Rims are VMR - VB3's 18x8.5 fronts and 18x9.5 rears

Hey Bees... did you replace the rear one as well ? Wondering if it's just as simple but flipped ?
Thanks mate, very helpful, exactly what I needed to know. I like the look of your rims what are they?
lol I was waiting for this guy to just say "FUCK THIS SHIT MAN !!!" and grab a hammer and beat it down. Boy I wish there was a DIY video that had someone explode like a true human being.
Very helpful!! Thank you!
Very helpful, Thank you.

Does your car have the mirror button inside on the door panel ?
Thank you very much I’m going to paint them gloss!
Do you know if these oem pillars can be vinyl wrapped?
Use washing up liquid on the rubber to ease the friction.
Thanks for that video :)
e46 / e90 Is this process for the e90 the same as the e46?
I tried contacting bmw dealership to order a replacement. It costs $181 as the guy said. How did you get it for $27? Please let me know. Thanks!
How do you remove the small exterior C pillar?
Can you help me with the part number? Can't find these pillars anywhere for my 2007 328i
If you mean the one located on the front of the back door, it should be mounted the same way.
I'm pretty sure your car already has the option programmed. You just hold the lock button down on your remote and the mirrors should close.
Good question.... let me check it out and I will get back to you.
Where did you get your b pillar from?
From the BMW Dealership - Parts department
I walked into my local BMW dealer parts dept and simply asked for the pilars for the front doors. Counter guy looked it up and ordered them.
Best
Where did you buy it thous pills?
Great! It is wat that I find!
Was this a demo instructional or did you purchase an OEM to replace damaged /scraped etc. I didn't see any damage on the one you took off. Just curious why the change out Thanks in advance.
I changed it because it had a cosmetic blemish. and Yes I purchased a new replacement from the BMW dealer.
+BEESGARAGE
k nice vid
didnt even know this was possible lol gonna take out mine and plastidip them black
Thank u
I've tried, it doesn't I know I have the option of buying the actual folding mirrors and blah blah blah, I rather just code it...
do you need adhesive to reattach rubber trim to b-pillar.
William Flynn No adhesive necessary.
THANK YOU
The option for my card is standard in Europe but not in the US*
No it does not that's what I was saying with I have the option to buy the folding mirrors and the new door panel with the button, I've seen people do it without having to buy that tho. May be I'll just go that route, seems to be easier to do than coding
Well hello beautiful !! haha... glad I could help.
I had to order my part from the bmw dealer.
