They have definitely improved the Edge on those newer one with the white liner and with out the stamped names, that chops better that the older models out of yhe box and I have seen a video of that same model with a fellow open the box and shaving hair off of his arm, so it was shaving sharp out the box and chopped just like that one. They must have fine tuned that Convex Edge. Very Nice.

Oh yeah, I forget to tell you mate, the timber on these beauties is walnut. It comes up beautiful with a sand, oil and wax. My handle is very dark now with no glue marks around the pins.👍🏼
@@adammcguinness9950 yes man, for awhile, then i found myself not using it so i give it to my wee brother, i do that with a lot of knives , some i just test for youtube and sell on , but if i like them they stay, i found that i like the parang style better, suits my style and my brother was delighted
I’m stoked for your brother, that was a very nice thing to do. I love the parangs, Goloks, Bowie’s, Kukri, I like them all. If i go bush, the biggest decision I have to make is axe or big knife. I end up taking too many. I like gifting knives/EDC gear also, our laws are similar to yours though as far as carrying them. I just make sure they’re well tucked away, not in easy reach. I’m hoping when I do get caught, it’ll only be a matter of time, they’ll see it’s not for fighting.👍🏼
didnt i tell you already, the handle is perfect for the balance, kukri knives rely on good balance for the best blade control due to the shape, the handle is fine
I'm not sure, it just felt all wrong to me. I know some people love them but I much prefer a parang type blade. I actually bought a parang after this. Hope that makes sense
Wooly's World Too much cost and trouble for the original cost of this knife. I can of course sharpen the blade and believe I can smooth out the chip, but my tip may be a little rounded. I have voiced my disappointment directly to Condor. Let’s see how they respond.
Original one is better I think, my friend has one with yak Handel's and yak skin cover, we used it for camping mostly. It has such a steady good grip and damn it was sharp.

@@WoolysWorld Ive one, not the real deal or even a Condor. I picked one up from Perkin. Its actually a "Hunting knife" designed like the Kukri. Looks very similar to that one you have, but not quite so heavy. I've a healthy fear of chopping my fingers off. I couldn't roll a joint without my fingers. The clipper lighter might be a struggle without thumbs. I keep this thing in a safe place and I don't play with it. There's no such thing as a " minor" Kukri injury. Take care.
I brought one and its a piece of shit . don't bother . I thought condor would have put there name something they tested . I only use this as a gardening tool now . Buy a real Khukri

@@adammcguinness9950 same here, I always have at least one knife on me, most times it two but iv I'm in the woods I might have 4 one me lol
I ground down the ugly "HUMP" on the back spine to give it a curvier look, but the handle is WAY TOO BIG, it could do with being about 1" shorter
