@@Mimi.1001 Don't they have an office building or something? But then again I don't think the land is part of the sovereign entity that is The Knights but more like a countries have military bases in foreign countries without really owning that land.
Damn that was fast, literally someone born on game start could've seen the knights just change into another gear and go wrecking everyone around then lol
Yooo, you've GOT to continue this campaign! I've only ever played the Knights once and it was when I was a total beginner to EU4 (still not great, but I like running smaller countries, bit of a masochist LMFAO). Obviously I totally failed but watching your approach to it is SUPER interesting!
Nice, definitely deserves a part 2! While quite challenging, the Knights can have some fun expansion routes. These are a couple I've tried: - Kiss up to Austria, beat Venice together and join the HRE. - Bypass the Ottomans and Mamluks, go through the Caucasus and form Catholic Persia. (Might be RNG dependent, neither the Timurids nor the hordes had consolidated power in the Persian trade node in my PT).
5:51 hands down my motto when it comes to eu4 navies. Build 10 or so galleys or light ships in the very beginning (depending on what nation I’m playing) and build my navy further by capturing ships or integrating vassals.
dude, I've spent HOURS watching you and the fucking W at 9:30 is one of the most INSANE ones I've ever seen from you, I understand you were a mil tech ahead but CHRIST that 6 pip shock hits DIFFERENTLY
Ship capturing is best thing in naval warfare, I was playing as Maan trying to get emprie of maan and stacked ship capture chance, at some point I had over 20 flagships and half of them were from brits.
Nice! I was just playing as the knights myself. Its really fun to do all of their missions and go for all 3 achievements! (Especially knights of the carribean is really fun to do). Can confirm the randomness. In my game, both Bosnia and Serbia are huge, and Asturias spawned (and colonized).
I subscribed initially Bc Laith is cute and funny. I stay for the god tier stack wipes, coastal raids and galley captures. Stealing the AI’s hard earned ducats. Ahh, so satisfying.
6:34 I totally agree . In most of my games have the largest navy in the world just because of this mechanic (with out building any ships). And sell leftovers for 10 ducats cuz its better than deleting it. I had largest navy as Brunei in 1480 s , Kilwa in 1490s (I looked how many ships everyone had. (Just used a cheat to discover the whole world , open ledger , look for navys , then load the save i didnt use cheat.)
Please do part 2. This storyline looks very interesting. I am unlikely to get as lucky as you have. Would love to see where this goes. What advantage leaving knights behind? Or staying?
Laith have you ever thought about playing the anbennar total conversion mod? It's a pretty fun time with a lot of variations on the standard eu4 game play loop
Last play throught with Knights I was able to take Constantinopoli before Ottomans and ruin they game. It helped so much. Also I did take Antioch from Mameluks when mamelukian army was fighting ottos in anatolia, that permabuff helped also very much in later wars againts otto hordes.
I think Naval and Espionage or Diplomatic idea policy Can give you another 33% chance to capture ships ,Also being a pirate republic gives another 33% to capture ships (i know Knights are not pirates). its very underrated and a easy way to get tradition and a navy
im playing custom nation of cossacks and i gave myself +40% raising gain as an idea... including the last gov reform I get +73% raising gain now... ive literally been 1 tech ahead of all the other nations for the whole game, maxed out my ideas & got all institutions.. only one i havent got yet is global trade cos it only recently spawned... i was literally like 4-5 techs ahead of most of asia & timurids..
Wow man how do you manage to crush them like that? Whenever i play it seems like the mams and the ottomans' troops are always so much stronger than mine !

I swear I'm cursed with this campaign, even maxed out my fleet can overcome Byzantium+Athens only some of the time, if they're allied with another country with a navy (Such as Moldovia), I'm screwed from the get-go. I've compensated for this by allying with Venice, which is really easy once you're in their trade league, but this also means I need to race them for Athens. But my most persistant issue is Aragon. I've only successfully allied them twice. The first time my country exploded in rebels (I've managed them better since but with Rhodes spawning Greek Seppies after a couple deacades it can be very annoying to micromanage my army between the island and mainland at regular intervals). Second time they fell behind in tech, Ottomans attacked me, and Castile stabbed them in the back before they could send any troops. Nobody else wanted to ally me so it's just me and Venice against a 45 stack and I was screwed. The issues are many, sometimes they spawn Hostile to me and wanting my land in which case I scrap my campaign right off the bat, roughly half the time they get three allies before I can max relations and they don't want to go over the cap, then when I take Byzantine land I get AE weighing me down, on top of that they see me as week even when I'm maxed out. I want a successful campaign here but I'm on the verge of giving up.

Are you telling me that Laith is not a disney princess?
By the time I poured the coffee I realised my mistake.
I've recently did a knights play through. I my way into Naples and conquered tunis. Eventually went back and beat the ottomans

Instant dislike.
Correct me if i am wrong but by no way i am supporting this.

Considering how much chaotic your campaigns are I'm starting to think it's you who's the chaos and not the game
This conflicts with my world view so I’m going to have to politely, but firmly, decline.
I’d love to see more of this, the Knights are one of my favorite nations and the fact that they’re still around today makes them even cooler to me
