    Being organized is a key factor for me when I spend time hiking in the woods. Daylight fly's by some times. A simple technique like this can save a ton of time. Thanks for sharing. -Eric

    Well I've been hanging my cordage in this manner for as long as can remember
    I have never seen the button

    Thanks for sharing this technique. I learned figure 8 pattern coiling when I was a boy back in Burma, but I also have problem tying after coiling. I couldn't seem to find a way secure it until now in your video. Thank you and Mr. Mors Kochanski. I love it.

      +Karamat Wilderness Ways Way better than the first post.
      I'm using a different method (Navy's hank) of making these hank but yours seems way simpler. I'll give it a try as soon as I encounter a lose cordage.

    Really useful tip - thank you for sharing. What lengths of cordage in feet or metres do you recommend as the ideal hank lengths for a wilderness camping trip?
