    I highly recommend Daria’s course. My Russian has really improved. The TPRS technique she uses is so beneficial. Many amazing perks in this course.

    Language is language. In my mother language, `` Охота´´ means an intimate part of the woman body.

    Interesting, when I recognized the word for hunting. "Ohota" is also Russian beer. So, when you do not want beer, neohota.

    How do you express that something isn’t for me. (I don’t want that. It’s not really my thing. I have different wants”. For example if asked if you want something like to be married one day, or if you want children, or don’t want to go to a crowded holiday destination)

    • @RealRussianClub
      @RealRussianClub  9 місяців тому +2

      interesting thing😅 I guess I’d say something like “well
      I don’t even know…” - “ну, я даже не знаю…” Kinda suggesting to leave me alone😅

      @@RealRussianClub haha oh I mean, like you are friends with someone and they ask your preferences for something sensitive and personal, you don’t want to be too hard to say that you don’t like that thing , because maybe they like the thing. So you want to gently say you don’t like it or want it without being offensive

    There are several more options, есть еще несколько вариантов:
    1) Мне не хочется, that means the same: "I don't want to".
    2) Не хочется. We remove the pronoun 'мне,' everything else remains the same.
    3) Да ну (да ну его). "Да ну" is pronounced as one word but written separately. It's an informal variant with a touch of disdain and laziness. However, Russians use it very often.
