I always said "Конечно" which means "of course" ... kind of like we say in English. My Russian friend looked at me confused and said "of course what" ... Basically no one says "of course" to "thank you" but once I explained it basically meant "of course I would do this for you" it made sense. Now every time I tell her thank you she says "of course" and laughs

Aha, finally. Something more casual I can say to my friend. ^_^ I feel bad mostly speaking english to her. I can hear her struggle to remember the words in english so to make her comfortable I put myself in the reverse situation. It's fun.

"Мой" - singular, "мои" - plural. For example: мой друг (my friend), мои́ друзья (my friends)

When does "Не вопрос" cone in to play then? Synonymous with "Не за что"?
«не вопрос» = «no problem» = «не проблема»
I do not agree with the author that "не за что" can be translated as "no problem". "Не за что" is only used as a response to "thank you = спасибо = благодарю"
By the way, if you say "no problem" in a conversation with Russians, then they will most likely understand you, this is part of the slang of teenagers and young people.

What about "не чего"?
This design is not used. Did you mean "нечего". "Не́чего" similar to "ничего́", but have slightly different meanings. "Ничего́" = "nothing". "Нечего" used more rarely. But "Мне нечего терять" = "I have nothing to lose". I can't explain it in a nutshell, you need to practice.
