you can test by first weighing several nickels, most weigh exactly 5g so if your scale reflects this you know your good but heres how to make an accurate 50g weight to use if you need to calibrate later. Get a bunch of nickels occasionally you will encounter one that will weigh less than 5g. You can either use ten 5g nickels or use one of the lighter ones so that you may wrap with enough tape to reach the 50g point then you have a good one piece calibration weight.

Your scales would still be off. If Your sales are off then your water weight is going to be wrong when u weigh out the water and that will throw your calibration off.
I don't know what you guys smoking smoking but that isn't calibrated. All he did was weigh uncalibrated weight on uncalibrated scales to calibrate them. You know what that means right? Physics lesson take one. You need something that has a true weight to calibrate these scales. The end result of what he did is scales that weigh everything the same after his failed attempt as they did before. How can you add uncalibrated weight on uncalibrated scales to get a true weight without the weight you add being calibrated/true. You can't. You end right where you started. Broken scales that well for the most part if you do it like he does here they are off about the same as after as before. Lmao

Water has a density of almost 1 g/ml so what he did is using a measuring cup to measure 50 ml of water which in terms of mass is almost 50 grams, It's not perfect a better way would be using a 50 ml syringe and freezing water for more accuracy
If I had the ability to weigh out 50g I wouldn't need another scale

Your scales would still be off. If Your sales are off then your water weight is going to be wrong when u weigh out the water and that will throw your calibration off.
