    Literally glowing!!! 😍❤️ Taylor, you are my favorite youtuber. When i was dealing with my acne, to the point that i would cry every night and I would wash my face and put makeup on in the dark because i didn’t want to see myself, you were there for me. You may have not known it, but your videos saved me from depression. Seeing your progress fills my heart with so much joy and hope. You look absolutely beautiful, you have been from the start. ❤️

    I've used rosehip oil since I was about 12 and recently I think it's been causing comodones which is HORRIBLE because I love it so much. A lighter alternate oil I have found that does the same thing in terms of regeneration and moisture is the Skyn Arctic Oil (which is 99% calendula I believe). It's amazing on my dry skin but is a lighter oil and soaks in quicker. It's about $40 NZD but is a giant bottle compared to the Trilogy rosehip oil I used for years. That and the 5% lactic acid by The Ordinary basically cleared up my skin. It's my 20000% recommendation 😍

    The only oils you don't use over moisturizer are the Sunday Riley oils. She said the reason is the active ingredients won't penetrate the skin as well if you don't apply it first and allegedly they don't block your moisturizer. Every other oil you put on top of moisturizer to seal it in and keep the moisture from evaporating from your face.

    The Tarte Maracuja oil has been wonderful for me. I have super sensitive, dry skin and dry patches. I have mild psoriasis on my face and it works so well for me. Gives me baby soft skin. I also use the Tatcha Camelia cleansing oil and it doesn’t leave an oily film. It emulsifies completely and leaves your skin hydrated and soft.

    For lighter feeling affordable moisturizer try the cerave pm facial lotion-I use it in the morning too! Light enough under Makeup. I also just started using the ordinary squalane & while it’s early for me to give official opinion so far 😍😍😍!! it’s the most hydrating yet light feeling oil I have tried thus far & squalane is supposed to be good for breakout prone skin (I’m dehydrated & breakout prone-the best! 😑) my skin also seems to really like the ordinary niacinamide which I feel has helped with clarity & resilience

    Keep using the fresh oil every night. I mix my oil with my moisturizer so I get both then I spray my face with Pur hydrating face mist. If you or anyone didn't know when you spray your face your skin is forced to absorb everything you are putting on it faster. Plus I'm Boujee so it's that extra step that makes me feel like I'm at a spa. Taylor your still the best UA-cam ever!😊 lot of love from Canada

    I love Pyunkang Yul for basic, simple ingredient hydration. Super affordable on amazon. Manyo Factory niacinamide serum is really great too. I have the driest skin on the planet. My entire skincare regimen is due to Caroline Hirons, Gothmista and Steph nicole. When my skin is super dry, I use the Ren Via Mineral Emollient Rescue Cream. It is even good under makeup. It is so soothing. My newest oil is Kensington Apothecary #3 soothing oil. I found it at TJ Maxx and it has replaced my VItner's Daughter...seriously. I have that same tue of Aquaphor sitting on my desk in front of my computer with all my skincare. I use it on my under eyes when the retinol tears up my skin. It keeps the moisture in but doesn't clog anything up or cause milia.

    I am a derm nurse and I'm so glad you mentioned the Cera ve and elta md products. They are the best. Be careful with the CE ferulic because it is a fruit based exfoliator and could be too strong for your sensitive skin right now. I would spot check and area for a couple of days before applying to your entire face. I really enjoy watching your channel .

      lori justice I was just given epiduo (and bactrim) and applying that seems fine but applying both cerave products mentioned here BURNS EMMENSLY! I switched to these because they were recommended as gentle but effective, since the burning, I switched back to my OG (before epiduo and bactrim) which is ponds and that is fine. Ponds doesn’t make me any less scaley looking but it doesn’t burn. Any other suggestions?

Then I tried Drunk Elephant Marula and it really was wonderful. FYI I would put this oil on before your luxurious night moisturizer because it absorbs relatively quickly/nicely and it isn't really a barrier product. I'm so happy for you, good luck with the 4 month mark.

    Never had acne aside from the odd pimple, never been on accutane. But Taylor!!! That CeraVe skin renewing night cream SAVED my dry skin! For some reason the transition from summer to fall has been super tough on my skin this year and it was crazy dehydrated! My skin is better than EVER. I ordered an night cream from Sephora, but was getting desperate waiting for it to be shipped. Went to the drugstore after watching this... Finally relief! I tried the other night cream when it arrived, and returned it. Double the price and didn't work nearly as well as the CeraVe. Thank you so much!!! XO

    • @ambervarner1634
      @ambervarner1634 7 років тому +5

      Not Taylor, but I did that for about a month and while it helped it was not nearly as moisturiIng as an actual moisturizer was. I ended up buying Cerave moisturizing cream. I had better moisturization in two days with that than a month with the aloe. Aloe is definitely more lightweight though, compared to the Cerave which is not heavy, but heavier in comparison. Both have a nice tacky feel and sink in to the skin nicely prior to makeup application. The thing I disliked about aloe on the face was anywhere around my eye would burn! But maybe that is just me. I still use aloe sometimes but I would not use it as a stand alone moisturizer.

    • @KB-tb3po
      @KB-tb3po 7 років тому +4

      Always do a spot test when applying pure Aloe Vera straight from the plant. You would be surprised at how may people are allergic or have topical sensitivities to aloe, especially when it isn’t diluted out by a gel or lotion.

    • @Liannabelle8
      @Liannabelle8 6 років тому

      Also not Taylor lol but I use it in combination with my moisturizer in the morning and it in combination with the hard candy white priming spray are all I use to "prep" my dry skin in the morning-makeup or no makeup. I've used the clear bottle of aloe for years in the morning as moisturizer and it does work really well.

    I’ve been a silent subscriber for years and I can’t believe you’re 5,000 away from half a million subscribers! I remember 80,000 like it was yesterday! It’s been amazing to see your channel grow, you’re one of the few who works really hard and deserves to keep growing! In reference to Post Malone, congratulations! That’s all I gotta say.🤗

    I'm so happy for these dry skin videos. As someone that has been on Accutane twice. My skin has remained dry/normal but changes constantly, will be looking forward to your foundation reviews for the dry skin, which will help me. When I was on it my skin was so dry and flaky but I couldn't find much information about stopping it, glad that you can make these videos to help people now and in the future.

    I felt the same way about the Fresh facial oil, I used mine all the way till the last drop and really didn't feel like it did much. I ended up purchasing the Ordinary Rose Hip Seed Oil and I noticed a difference in my skin on day ONE. I woke up for the first time in weeks without dry patches around nose! Miracle product for me.

  • @jc___z

    Taylor, your skin is improving so much since you’ve started accutane! Love it ☺️ You should check out Dr Dray here on youtube, since she does a lot of Q&A’s on retinoids/skin types/etc and basically demystifies skincare and the pros/cons of ingredients commonly found in drugstores and some high-end. You mentioned a lot of products she recommends and I think you can find more things you can implement now and even after accutane. I definitely have learned a lot and simplified my own skincare routine and became more ingredient-conscious because of her ☺️

    Yes, oil is the last step. Sometimes rosehip oil works better when mixed with another oil or moisturizer instead of straight, so if you find you don't love it on it's own try mixing just a few drops with something else

    Hello my dear! First of all I absolutely adore your videos, you da bomb! I just wanted to let you know about a product that changed my dry alligator skin into beautiful dewy skin, it’s the origins drink it up overnight mask. It is AMAZING!! I actually use it as a moisturizer too because it is freaking awesome. I have tried a shit ton of products and this is the only one that has gotten rid of my grossly dry, flaky skin.

    I’ve had dry skin my whole life and a couple months ago I started a CeraVe routine and it has totally changed my skin. The texture, how it feels, how it behaves, it’s improved dullness, clogged pores, and all sorts of issues I used to struggle with. I use a lot of the Pixi stuff too, like their balm cleanser for removing makeup, their Jasmine oil blend mixed with my nighttime moisturizer, and of course the milky mist.
    Added that vitamin C serum and the serum/lotion thing at the end to my amazon cart! Gonna check out that spf right now. Thanks so much for always being so informative and explaining everything so well, your channel is so great to watch when I want good, honest information on something.

    That hada labo lotion saved my skin! Holy grail for very dry sensitive skin. Love love love. When my skin is really dry I will do one to three layers (in AB they call it skins) of this stuff. My skin is SUPER sensitive/ highly reactive and this is so soothing and hydrating. In the summer I can get away with just cleansing and patting this into my skin no moisturizer which was CRAZY for someone with super dry flaky skin in winter and dry skin in summer. OK sorry done gushing over this product lol.
