I think Ruby losing a limb would be too much like what happened to Yang, however if Ruby would run into her mother either working for Salem or maybe as a Grimm hybrid and being forced to kill her would be a huge deal for her to deal with.
I've mentioned it on Reddit so I'll throw it out here too - I think at some point team RWBY will have to fight Summer. Salem confirmed that at some point she did encounter Summer and Summer didn't come out of that fight. But no body was ever found. Now, we know Salem can create Grimm and gave Cinder her arm. But for it to go so smoothly, I wonder if Salem experimented on someone else first - Summer. If that's the case, then Summer is still alive, but will likely need to be killed by Team RWBY themselves down the road. This would make for a great arc for Ruby herself and would be the emotional hit fans are wanting.
@@Tabby51260 That would be something to see, however I have also seen a theory maybe even on this channel but I can't remember that Salem may have put Summer into coma and if she is a Maiden then Salem may be keeping her alive on machines just like Ozpin did with Autumn before deciding to give the powers to Pyrrha. It would be a good way to show how Ozpin and Salem are not that different. I also like the idea of Salem blackmailing Summer...maybe like I will leave your daughter's alone if you work for me but that would be hard to pull off if Summer runs into them on the battlefield.
I mean ruby would probably have to fight blind folded since her eyes would poof her mom so that would be a hard hitting fight and if ruby wins she will be torn and prob take summer cape to remeber her and use part of summer's weopen in hers since summer is who ruby got the cool cape look from so it would be Cool double pettle burst.as long as we don't do the eye using thi g like In naruto that is creepy as hell. So what I think is if your theroey happens ruby will use some of summers items incorporated into her arensal and style that's just my take atleast prob a bit dumb tho :P
I'm just now noticing that Willow has the "moms that die" haircut. She is dying. The only possible way she might not die is if the butler saves her and dies for her and then she goes off to hide and actually succeeds in hiding, which isn’t very likely.
I would like to point out that everyone freaked out about that when she was first revealed and rt responded that that was a complete accident.... still I’d say her chances of survival are not looking good...
@@alexjd1278 I don't think Ruby losing her eye would be that good though. If they do it I wouldn't mind too much but I think it would be a bit of a rehash of Yang. I would rather have her suffer emotionally. Maybe have her actually struggle with someone's death or something like that.
@@Rorksen true maybe qrow they are pretty close and he's the only family she has besides tai and yang Ok i want it now qrow death bc there is nothing else to do with him tbh like after he gets revenge for clover i feel like he should die yang dying wouldn't make sense and tai is barely in the series for it to even happen or impact us same with raven so qrow is the only option
I get the feeling that Cinder will be the one to die, if not in this season then a future one, because of her clothing changes. She started out in red clothes and now they're black, she's a cinder that's burning out.
I’m just hoping volume 8 won’t hold any punches, I want it to hurt the way volume 3 did, and I think they have the ability to do so if they don’t hold back.
@@taserx2768 We are overdue for a tragic volume, but hopefully it won't be too over the top. I really hope none of JNPR dies, I think that's best saved for the final volume a few episodes from the finale. Ruby losing a limb or an eye I think would be a little over the top, but would probably make the overcome a major defeat trope that much more satisfying
Is it sadistic that I wanna see Ruby knocked down a few pegs? Especially with the eye theory. That sounds like a very interesting “eye”dea to pull off and permanently damage the character, giving her a real setback to work from and grow from.
IRONWOOD. If u noticed when he and oscar were in the vault and he was talking the elevator screen listed terminals 1,4,7, and 8 I think it foreshadows 8 being his last terminal or stop if you will.
Never have, of course more character development and growth would be good but if you like a character a lot, you wouldn't want them to take the pain. Only in my opinion and my mind. I can see that for Team JNPR though.
I never ask someone to through trauma and pain both physical and emotional, you never know how pepole asecnd form thier state. Of course the story of RWBY point Ruby going to get one, but certainty not in real life.
Ruby losing a part of her body, any part, would be demoralizing for her. As bad as that would be for her, it would be worse for the team: since at least Volume 4, Ruby has been the glue that has kept the teams going. If she is demoralized, that will have a domino effect for everyone else. If they lose Ruby, they lose period.
3:08 *Begins to realize something.* On my god. I, now see one of the ways. The two gods could be killed, if salem were to ever become that powerful. And if they were to be brought back, when she's a threat. The silver eyes, if they were to become corrupted. Than salem could possibly use them against the gods. (IF it were possible to corrupt them that is.)
I already had that theory, but what if the gods die they incarnate into other people? Like what if in order to be reborn they must resurrect someone, I was thinking that Adam would be resurrected as the god of destruction and Pyrrha would resurrect as the god of creation and they learn to work together.
I really don't think Salem could ever possibly kill the Gods. I'm not sure they even can be killed. Sure, corrupted silver eyes might work on the GoL but why would a corrupted version of light (AKA darkness) work on the god of Darkness?
No it wouldn't happen, Because the God of Light's Silver eyes didn't kill the God of Darkness in the flashback story from Jin... This shows that the power from the gods does not have the ability to destroy another one of the gods.
It's going to be a slaughter now that the Grimm queen has arrived, Magic, immortality, grimm control, So let's get the old guillotine out. My Death predictions for volume 8. Danger to safe. Pedro 99% dead Ironwood 90% dead Penny 90% dead but comes back with no memory Watts 80% dead Jacques 70% dead Raven 65% dead I thinks she's coming back next volume Maria 60% dead Ren Nora 50/50 Willow 50/50 Qrow 60% alive Tyrian 60% alive Hazel 65% alive Mercery 65% alive Cinder 70% alive Emerald 75% alive Neo 75% alive Jaune 80% alive Robin 80% alive Oscar 85% alive Winter 85% alive Whitley 90% alive Salem 100% alive, Salems final season endgame. Team Rwby 100% alive Happy hunters. 2 survive, sheep girl and Trans girl Ace ops 2 survive Elm and Marrow
All you had to do Ozpin was not stick your staff in crazy Ozpin: to be fair salem was very attractive and who would've know she had some issues. Issues is an understatement!
I can certainly see the argument that Ruby is due for some suffering this volume, however I don't know that physical injury is the most likely way for that to happen. That made sense for Yang because her physical strength and her fighting ability were such a central part of her character. However for Ruby, the central element of her character is her desire to protect the world and those around her, so I think the "failure" of seeing someone close to her hurt or killed would be the real knife-twister for her. We saw that once already in volume 3; seeing Pyrrha disintegrated in front of her was far more wrenching for Ruby than being injured herself would have been. Plus, I honestly don't think the likely injuries for her to suffer would be that impactful. Losing one eye wouldn't take away her silver-eye magic (which is the only real point), and losing a limb seems both a bit unnecessary and just a lazy rehash of what already happened to Yang. Regarding Penny, I think she's actually one of the safest characters this volume. After all of the build-up about what will happen to the winter maiden powers during volume 7, leading to the twist where Penny ends up with them, I highly doubt they would kill Penny off to start another round of "maiden power roulette" immediately afterward. Penny will certainly have a big target on her back, and I could definitely see her having to make a decision whether to open the vault in order to save one or more of her friends, but I don't think she'll die. The only scenario where I could see her dying would be *after* the vault has already been opened, and the winter maiden powers therefore become less plot-relevant.
I agree since Ruby has only suffered through mental health since she always thinks positive, the "spark" as Ozpin calls her in Volume 5. Her weakness is basically losing hope and being torn down mentally.
@@onyxrose4349I'm interested about if penny's consciousness got transfered to another unit what would happen to the maidens power 🤔 it will be interesting to see what rt does with her character going forward
@Wolfeson28 I think they have made the physical injuries a bit to common across the rwby team, so the guilt of constantly being the only one to come out alright while her friends and family get hurt or killed I think would be a better character beat as it would give her character more drive to start taking more risks, be more protective, and attempt to take more hits for the team. I can see that having a lot of utility story wise and potentially gives her a strong self sacrificing character trait.
I also 'want' to see Ruby lose an eye. It might finally prompt some character development, as well as nerf her 'chosen one' overpowered main protagonist tropey abilities. Not only could it reduce the power of her Silver Eyes, but also inhibit her capability as the team sniper. Also I don't think Salem wants Oscar dead at all; if she kills him, he'll just reincarnate again. It's far more logical to just capture him and keep him from helping her enemies.
I don't think Ruby will lose an eye of an arm, just because Weiss's eye is injured(so is Marias') and Yangs arm was already taken... RWBY doesn't typically repeat what has already happened...
Ironwood-dead, Qrow is on warpath, Raven returns and reconnects, Maria passes off her scythe knowledge, Jacque-dead, Neo seriously injured, Roman returns, Cinder loses a limb, Ruby get injured, jnr injuries, and Tyrian serious injuries.
Ironwood died, Qrow was swayed by Robyn, Raven never came, Maria disappeared since chapter 5, Jacque died, Neo only fell as she was betrayed, Roman never came, Cinder didn’t lose another limb, Ruby, jnr, nor Tyrian was even injured
I made a theory related to this topic before, If Ruby were to lose one of her eyes to Salem's forces I could see Salem taking either one of those little bug Grimm like Cinder used or plucking out one of her own eyes and planting it in Ruby's presumably empty eye socket. Both as a means to corrupt Ruby and sense her presence like I think like she does with Cinder's Grimm arm. One eye that reflects the light of the world and the other to see/sense the darkness in people's hearts.
25:10 I hope, if Raven comes back, someone from our main team (QRWB, ORNJ) sees her and her maiden powers on display. It'd be interesting if Yang was called out for not telling Qrow about the fact that Raven, his flesh and blood, was still around and was the reason the team got the Relic of Knowledge in the first place.
Revan is qrow sister not his daughter “His flesh and blood” is more commonly way today ”my children” or” my kids” and saying”flesh and blood” is just more dramatic(sorry for the nitpick your still right about comment that would be interesting and also want yang to go through some shit because I am done with yang)
It's similar, but it's different. Cinder's emblem is the two glass slippers, shaped to create a heart. Yang and Taiyang have a different "burning heart" emblem.
Phoenix/Night: [Oscar] is definitely gonna have a lot of mental trauma from...coming face-to-face with Salem, the great evil in the world. Me: After his reincarnation he found Salem, they had a family together, then he went against her and was essentially flambéed by his wife, and as far as we know he hasn't seen her since. Having to confront an ex-wife is hard enough, but having to confront an ex-wife who turned you into a crème brûlée is even harder.
He loved her so much, and we don't completely know how he feels about her now. I'd like to imagine that he doesn't completely hate her and is always mourning his lost love of his life. Of course, that could just be me wanting a lot of angst, but Oscar has always been my favorite character, so I can't wait to see him in Volume 8. Hope the writers don't do him dirty. Thank you for listening to my rant.
@@Alonkis251 eh you’re right :/ but the problem is when are they ever gonna make a character short about her? I’d love to see it & know more about how she became evil in the first place
I’d prefer ruby to feel like she’s given up instead of her losing an eye. There’s ways to grow as a character without having to maim said character. Like jeez. All people seem to know is physical pain= growth. They don’t equate emotional weight as an alternative either.
That's because ppl think physical limitations break a person's spirit, which can be true in some cases, but what would hit harder in my opinion is a mental breakdown like for example if Crow dies. Pretty sure ruby couldnt care less for losing 1 eye if that would've happened instead of Crow dying.
She was basically CRUSHED emotionally last volume for a while and I think that it’d be nice if maybe she was brought to Salem, and summer was there bound to the throne or something essentially as a hostage and summer WILL die if that’s the case, preferably, and poetically, literally killed by salem right before Ruby’s eyes and she could lose an eye that way. I really like the idea of ruby being extremely traumatized this volume, and being immortalized by SOME sort of scar that she could see every day...maybe like... losing an EYE???
@@HHLucifer666 think that’s a bit of a stretch. The guilt of failing to stop the fall of atlas would better as it would crush her spirit and feel like giving up the fight. Being mentally low is way more relatable.
SO I wanna see volume 8 end like volume 3 aka a total ddefeat. Heres How I see it. With Qrows death. make a honorable death for the unfortunate menLike imagine Qrow fighting Tryian,Watts and Hazel at the same time, while the main characters flee with relic of creation. Basically everyone has to actually drag Ruby and Yang away while trying to turn back. Maybe even after Ruby looses her eye so she's bleeding badly but wanting to fight.
People might hate me for this but I think that Tyrians "eye for an eye" line was foreshadowing Qrows death or incapacitation. My reasons for thinking this is because back in vol 4 when Tyrian tells Salem that he took down Qrow she replied by sawing "the last eye is blinded" referring to qrow as that eye. Of course we all know that could mean OZs eye in the sky but I think that Qrows death or being taken out of action would become more of an impact on ruby then losing any body part. Also it would fit in perfectly with the chain of events causing Ruby to suffer, Salem already mentioned he mother and we saw how that affected her so if something were to happen to the other person who inspired her to become a huntress then it would destroy her and possibly make her powers go berserk. Finally scars don't really mean much, I mean Weiss was impaled but I don't think we ever saw her scar and her eye wasn't destroyed when she got a scar over it. I think for Ruby emotional scars are her think then losing an eye, especially since her silver eye powers are key to the series and there is a possibility that Penny of Oz could fix her eye with magic. These are just my thoughts.
Yeah. I can see Qrow dying against Tyrian with both meeting a grim fate. With Raven gone that leaves Tai as the only member of STRQ left, the team Oz had trust in.
I can see that Qrow could die, but I think that if he does it would be protecting team RWBY and just before he dies Raven will finally gain Strength as defined by Yang in volume 5 and Raven will come out to help protect her family. From there I think that team STRQ may actually make it's return(sort of) and Tai may even end up joining this fight.
I imagine cinder getting close to death (again) but this time since salem and her court are more in play. It will mean alot more. *possibly burned hair?*
I know it probably wouldn't happen but I would personally love the idea that penny speaks every language, because you know, robot... including sign language. As it turns out Neo speaks sign language and while injured they duck for cover behind a decaying building and penny gets to narrate neo's back story.
@@scorpion40k I think it’s the new JNPR, that being Jaune Arc, Lie Ren, Oscar Pine, and Nora, ALPN. Although I much rather prefer ORNJ, or just JNPR still, since Oscar can be the P
(Sigh) I love this part of the fandom, it's so...smart. Really, it is. The theories and ideas based on foreshadowing, set up and pay off are so fun and interesting. I just wish I had enough confidence in CRWBY to actually UTILIZE foreshadowing, set up and pay off effectively.
If the Qrow being Ruby’s dad theory is true I feel like he would need to die with in the fight against Salem reveling he’s her father or something as sad of a death for the completion of his character development with raven coming too late or keeping Salem and cinder busy along with tai while he tells ruby he was her father and put her under tai’s care and protection to keep her safe from his bad luck he saw as a curse letting her keep the name of her mother because they have a strong resemblance with each other and because she is all he has left of summer
hear me out...return of Emerald and Mercury. Emerald using her semblance to make Nora see Mercury as Ren only to be literally stabbed in the back. She passes out before she can see that it was an illusion and a small part of her believes she was actually betrayed by the man she loves.
With how Ruby's hairstyle is going, if she does lose an eye this volume, I would kinda hope it's her right eye so that she can just grow her hair out to cover her now missing eye
I think it makes sense for her to get mental trauma more than it does physical. No matter what the villains do to Ruby physically, unless she was completely paralyzed (which definitely won't happen) it wouldn't slow her down. A big part of her character has always been just that, her character, her spirit. Breaking her spirit would be far more effective than breaking her body.
Man, when you talked about Penny I thought of the leaders with nine lives in Warriors, and when Tigerclaw threatened to take every single one of Bluestar's lives until she was permadead. And later on when Scourge killed Tigerstar all nine times at once. What if Penny gets revived, still has her Maiden powers each time, but Cinder keeps trying to kill her over and over again until she's finally dead for good.
My list the people go gon die this volume The schnee family :( qrow i- ace ops pietro, maria robyn, happy huntresses tyrian CINDER >:( ren, nora and myself watts
I doubt Salem's dying this volume, there's already been a confirmed V9. Why would they get rid of the "big bad" before the end of the series. Unless they planned to make the gods the "final boss" of the series but as of rn there's no indication of them going in that direction.
Maria dies saving someone possibly proving to Qrow the legend was true. Ruby loses an Eye while Penny dies again having her father sacrifice himself so she can join the fight. Weiss and Blake probably not much besides mental trauma . Willow is definitely dead. If Ruby loses an eye then Yang who's likely already mad at her is gonna breakdown thinking she can't even protect her sister. Ren could be permanently injured and thus be unable to continue fighting with Nora possibly either staying with him or going on because she knows they need to beat Salem , paralleling somethings we have seen. Neo is probably not dying but is definitely stabbing Cinder first chance she gets. Oscar is due some on screen character development so he can use some beating . Tyrian being hunted down and being done in by his own poison would be poetic. Jacque and Watts probably make it out of get overwhelmed by the Grimm. Robyn is fine, Winter is fine. I am not emotionally ready for this. Although while many would argue Mystral was Blake's Arc. I can see something being done with her parents or Sun in Vácuo to develop her. This is Weiss' time to shine. Maybe not trusting Atlas she leaves Winter in charge of the company while she recovers and takes Whitley with her to Vácuo to keep a close eye. Whitley I believe is based on Loki to an extent so I can see him being hard to deal with
hey, speaking of Qrow and Tyrian, remember the Nevermore and the Deathstalker that team RWBY and JNPR took down in the first volume? The scorpion Grimm got it's stinger cut off before Nora smashed it's head in > Tyrian got HIS tail/stinger cut off, and is most likely gonna get whacked somewhere in the coming volumes. The bird Grimm on the other hand, got decapitated.... does anyone else see where I'm going with this line of thought????
I'm almost certain that Pietro would die this volume. Either directly killed or indirectly due to reviving Penny for the last time after she's killed fighting/taking down the whale or other similar situation. One of the two has to happen IMHO. They did foreshadow it with Pietro's line in Vol 7.
I don’t think Ruby is going to get physically maimed but what about mentally. While Beacon was traumatic and she tends to runaway from it & bottles it up. I think in Atlas Ruby might find herself in position where she’s this close to helping a person/people (my bets on Maria since she’s kind of like a grandma figure to her)but helpless and forced to watch. This might be a stretch but imagine her witness this and she has a full on meltdown which releases her silver eyes powers. The light winds up blinding one of Salem’s henchmen(by that I mean people like, while their screaming in horror is numb. The team comes charging in wondering what happened and tries to take the henchman into custody, however Ruby kills him in cold blood. Every one like “what the hell” and she faces away from saying she’ll take out some of the remaining Grim.
I had actually written the theory that Ruby loses both her legs into a story I made, which were replaced by the cliché metal limbs. I did this before I even found out that Ruby losing her legs was a real theory, just heard about it right now in this video.
With what you mentioned about ironwood potentially going up with the satalite. I actuall think it would be more interesting if penny did that. One she is immortal and doesn't require oxygen so would be a useful "guardian or the beacon", would prevent the maiden powers from being misused and also, being an automaton, kinda, would maybe be able to interface with the satalite systems. I also think making her a symbol of hope might be an interesting way of using her character. Also from a character standpoint, gaining a understanding of sacrifice, it would allow for a good character moment for her. Very Madoka, but I think having a symbol of hope to rally against in this setting would be a good turning point.
If anyone of Team JNPR is going to survive it is Ren. His character inspiration is the only one whose story does not end with death. Pyrrha=Achilles dies during the battle of Troy after a final rage fueled rampage through the Trojan lines following his boyfriend’s death. Jaune=Jean de Arc was captured by England and burned as a witch. And Nora=Thor dies fighting Jörmungandr at the beginning of Ragnarök. But Ren=Mulan who serves with distinction in China’s military for many years before retiring to her hometown to live with her family. If we can track the themes of each of these to a particular event you could see something like this play out. Pyrrha’s death when tracked with the death of Achilles represents both a moment of demoralization to her side but also the catalyst that spurs forward the plans/development in the future. Further tracking would logically bring us to the next death that comes during a war, this is Jean/Jaune. Reading the stories as road maps would seem to indicate that Jaune is fated to die after being captured and then executed by the villains probably by burning, So look out for this if Jaune winds up captured especially if it is by Cinder we could see bad things for him if that happens. Next, would be Nora/Thor the death that would occur to open the final battle. In this case be on the look out for any particularly large serpent grimm when the series begins to reach its end as this will not bode well for Nora, especially if Jaune has already been burned to death by a witch instead of for being one. This would leave Ren. Many people like to assume he would throw himself into a suicidal frenzy upon Nora’s death but if all the previous events have occurred as I have laid out I don’t think we can expect that. More than likely if everything plays out like their stories Ren would almost certainly return to Kuroyuri probably to help it rebuild and eventually retire there as a war hero who helped stop Salem. However, I don’t actually think any of this will happen as I think we as a fandom like to put far more emphasis on the inspiration stories of the main cast than the writers intend. I fully believe that in truth they are not meant to be anything more than inspiration for the physical aspects of character design and not road maps for how their stories will play out. So, while what I laid out is a fun theory I doubt it has much merit.
Hot take: What would happen to Cinder if she managed to take the maiden powers of another maiden? What would happen to her if she gets two different maiden powers? What if the maiden powers become overwhelming to her? What if the two maiden spirits in her conflict with each other and because of this, her body literally tears itself apart? She may have a Grimm arm, but she's still human. And I feel like with something like the maiden powers there is only so much power a human body can handle
Yes, I hope Ruby loses a lim or profitably an eye it would help with story and see how she progresses after with her team.If Ruby does lose one or the other I would love to see how her team reacts to there leader severely damaged , especially Yang she would go into big sister rage mode at Salem or Cinder.
Okay, "eye for an eye" was not a license for revenge...so it wouldn't have to be Cinder who takes it. "Eye for an eye" was a statue given to the judges so as to make sure the punishment fit the crime so it was neither too light nor too oppressive. In fact there were multiple laws in the Mosaic Law that PREVENTED revenge. Not just preventing revenge, but even as far as to prevent spiteful actions against someone you had a problem with. Such as Exodus 23: 4,5 which stated “If you come upon your enemy’s bull or his donkey straying, you must return it to him. If you see that the donkey of someone who hates you has fallen under its load, you must not ignore it and leave. You must help him release the animal."
I've loved the Ruby-losing-an-eye theory ever since I first heard of it. I don't know if it will happen this volume, but I really want it to happen at some point. I just think it makes perfect narrative sense: Tyrian's "eye for an eye" comment, we've seen one silver-eyed warrior lose her eyes, and all that. Ruby has had so much loss already and hasn't let herself have much of a break to process it or reach out to anyone for support. She just bottles it up and puts on a happy face for those around her. She's the one everyone else looks to. She's going to hit a breaking point sooner or later, and I think losing an eye could be the thing that does it.
Regarding the Ace Ops: If one of them were to die in Volume 8, I believe it would be either Harriet or Elm (most likely Harriet), as they are the "true believers" in Ironwood and his plans for Atlas. I'm singling out Harriet because of the final fight scene in which we see her: even when her arms were bound behind her back, she was willing to headbutt Ruby at 90 mph even though she knew it would cause just as much damage to herself. The only one I could see coming out of that unscathed would be Marrow, as he didn't buy into the "arrest Team RWBY plan", and only joined the fight out of an obligation towards his team (he was asking if they were really going to go through with it). If anything, I believe Marrow will switch sides and either act as a double-agent within Ace Ops (thus feeding valuable intel to Team RWBY/Team JNPR) or abandon Ironwood entirely due to his personal beliefs and ideals being in direct competition with Ironwood's actions and intentions.
@Nelsonba Win Vine is going to follow the rest of the Ace Ops. Yes, he is quiet, but he also showed no hesitation whatsoever towards Ironwood's order to arrest team RWBY.
I think we need to keep an eye out on Jaune, Ren and Nora this volume. I believe there's going to be a serious weapons-out fight between Nora and Ren, with Jaune caught in the middle. I'm totally for that possibility, since there are many ways of it playing out that could have great emotional impact. Also, I don't think Ruby's going to lose an eye, but I'm interested in the idea of her being infested with the same grimm thing that's inside Cinder, which creeps up to one of her eyes and corrupts it. Maybe so that Salem can see out of it and gain a tactical advantage, or for some other reason. Either way, I do think the "an eye for an eye" quote is going to come true one way or another. And speaking of Tyrian's anecdotes, I'm still holding on to when he said that Jaune interests him. I'm pretty sure the Arc family is directly descended from Ozma and Salem, and I fully expect that to come full circle at some point. Finally, we NEED to see Tai in action. If we get him, Qrow and Raven all together, it absolutely must result in a STRQ flashback.
Uncle Jimbo may die due to his last struggle potentially driving him into giving everything he has and only having it being for nothing as goth mommy salami is immortal
Have heard the theory that Ruby could be put in a coma in volume 8 and volume 9 could be WBY and JNR having to go forward with her like that. As far as Penny I don’t really see RT going through everything bringing her back only to kill her off the next volume.
Everyone here is just starving for Angst this volume and I'm here for it. Ruby has held back so much emotion and I WANT HER TO SUFFER. I love Ruby so much, but its time for character development.
Imagine Tai, Raven, and Qrow get executed by Salem this volume in order to make an example to team RWBY. Maybe Ruby can have more of a mental trauma than a physical one.
Lol a little left field add on: After the execution something in Ruby awakens. The mangekyou silver eyes, as well as a susanoo the shape of the God of Light.
I'm very thankful you didn't show a pic of pyrrha when you mentioned there will be some that won't make it. It's been how many years and I'm still sad about it
I'm hoping Ruby gets it because she needs to experience her breaking point. When she does that's when I feel Qrow and Maria will discuss more about her eyes and Summer. Tyrian vs Qrow will be another big fight. Qrow might not cut off his tail and it could squirm across land to stab someone. Cinder vs Neo vs Penny will be one of the fights. I'm sure Penny will treat Neo well and have her fight Cinder together.
I honestly don't want anything to happen to JNPR give them a break, Ruby definitely needs a reality check and to suffer a big loss, I'm still annoyed that she defeated the Ace Ops, I don't want Ironwood to die because he was trying to do what was right until Team RWBY the heroes and I use that term loosely went behind his back and ruined a lot of things especially Blake and Yang
Looking back though everyone was just trying to do what was right. In addition Ironwood didn't need to capture them and take them into Atlas to go up as a Satellite. It wasn't their goal to begin with, RWBY wants to protect the world whereas Ironwood only wants to protect Atlas. He very well could've just left them to protect Mantle and Remnant while he protected Atlas, in addition he didn't even take their opinion into it and just tried to force them to go with Atlas.
I want this to be the most brutal volume every liek mortal kombat kinda violence I know that won't happen but graphic stuff liek actually showing blood and Ruby's eye getting torn out
Jacque can’t change, I think it’s way too out of character. No epiphany coming imo. I think Qrow goes postal, god help anyone who gets in his way this volume but I think before he totally cracks Robin pulls him back from the brink and he starts to find some happiness with her going into volume 9. I sadly agree Ruby loses an eye. I think Pedro is the one to take Amity into the stratosphere and he dies by suffocating. Penny is going to suffer a lot from being a maiden, she’s going to have a ton of choices to make from saving Pietro or Ruby amongst a whole lot more. She won’t die but she’ll be hurt in both physically and mentally ways. As I predicted during the previews for volume 8, both Raven and Ty come back. Maria uses her aura to reboot Penny and dies if Penny needs rebooting.
I imagine Juane helping Pietro in reviving Penny for the final time. I think he said that he won't be able to if she died, but being amplified might give him enough to succeed at the cost of his life. And maybe if CRWBY want to go a much more happier route, he doesn't die at all thanks to Juane and he basically just loses his ability to generate aura.
I want to see Team RWBY suffer in this volume, Ruby losing an eye would be great, Yang maybe having her prosthetic arm destroyed or damaged in some way, Blake could possibly lose one of her Faunus ears, and Weiss having severe mental trauma. I would like to see Penny suffering maybe by having Pietro die and I want Robyn to die maybe by having Tyrian to kill her in front of Qrow. I also want Atlas to crash down into Mantle and Team RWBY seeing this at the end with little to no survivors.
I've been following this channel for two years now, and I've just now noticed something: Phoenix/Night looks a bit like he has silver eyes. Has anyone else ever noticed this?
Yeah,... I think it will hurt. I have this theory that the volume 3 opening is actually about volume 8 (and maybe even volume 9). 'When it falls' would then refer to the (literal) fall of Atlas, 'the innocent will lay in when in the end you've failed to save them' would maybe refer to the people of Mantle, 'their dying eyes are wide and white like SNOW' would actually make sense, as would 'there will be no LOVE'. And I think that either 'mirrors will shatter' or ' The shining light will sink in darkness' might (but also might not) be about Ruby. So... yeah...
What do y’all think the likelihood is that Klein Sieben, the ex-butler, will come back and try to save the Schnees? I feel like he could maybe come back but idk
At some point it would be "logical" that one or more of team RWBY would, at some point, gain a maidens powers. If Penny were to die the power would most likely go to Ruby since they are very close last thoughts and all. Happens in vol8?? maybe..
Ruby is definitely gonna lose her eye to Cinder. Just makes sense. Pietro’s condition seems like he only has 1 revive for Penny left so if Penny gets damaged this Volume, he’s definitely going to go. If Ironwood dies it’ll probably be in the presence of Qrow, but they would have made up beforehand. Idk how Qrow & Robyn will escape but Robyn won’t die cuz she had to rebuild Mantle. The Ace Ops, I don’t think any one of them would die. Clover already took one for the team. Winter won’t die cuz she needs to clap back from last Volume. Oscar’s obviously gonna have his time to shine. As for JNR, I don’t want to believe that any one of them would die, but the Ren and Nora buildup from Volume 7 means that they’re gonna have some big moments in this one, possibly death. Yang & Blake need some space, I’m glad they’re shown on different teams in the trailer. I think Weiss needs to have some big moments this Volume because she’s been overshadowed by her team since Volume 5. If there’s any chance that Raven comes back, she would have to bring Taiyang, meaning that the alive members of Team STRQ would be reunited, meaning we HAVE to get some Summer background.
I could see Willow dying saving Witley so say Weiss goies to the manoir for some reason it comes under attack and as she get's there Willow pushes Witley out the way to save him from some falling masonry but dies the the attempt.
While the whole "Eye for an Eye" idea works for the grudge between Ruby and Cinder, I don't think it will actually come to her physically losing one. Ruby's big knockdown will likely come from a near fatal blow, on the likes of being stabbed, slashed, or positioned to some extent. The best parallel I can draw is similar to Aang in The Last Airbender after their loss at Ba Sing Se, where Aang is mortally wounded as is out for the count for a set amount of time. Likely going into volume 9, where she finally wakes up and finds herself and everyone in Vacuo, only to learn of the results of the battle. That, or Ruby confronts Salem herself, and in the course of their battle, Ruby presses as to whether Salem actually killed Summer herself, getting more and more frustrated as the fight goes on only for Salem to confirm her suspicions, leaving Ruby emotionally crippled. On a side note, does anyone else think that Ruby and Yang need a nice sisterly talk about Summer? Maybe with input from Qrow, Raven, or Tai? In regards to Penny dying, I don't think that is going to be the case. Technically she's died already, not literally, but you get the idea. Second, I don't think they would kill her off so soon after just getting the maiden powers. Third, I think it would be a cool scene in Volume 9, if we saw Penny training with her maiden powers with the summer maiden in Vacuo, akin to Korra teaching opal about airbending.
theory with the penny and loosing the maiden powers, i feel like penny may die like you said, but i feel like the power wouldn't go to cinder. i know that the power goes to whoever the maiden last thinks of i believe? but since penny is an android, i feel like she can just close her eyes and her mind focuses on one person and not cinder. what i mean is, i feel like penny will shut off her eyes or force her mind to focus on one person. im not sure who though, my mind is thinking either winter, ruby, or maybe weiss. lemme explain- so for winter, it's obvious since she was going to be the winter maiden before penny had to because winter wasn't able to actually go into the storm. for ruby, it's one of penny's closest friends. i dont see this possibility as much, since ruby does have her silver eyes and being the main character, blah blah blah. but it would be an interesting take. for weiss, this is my second thought if penny were to die and give the power. i feel like penny knows if she dies in a battle with cinder, and if cinder doesn't get the power, i feel like cinder would know it would've gone to winter. which is how it would kinda flip. if not going to winter, it would go to weiss. i don't see any of the main four getting maiden powers, but if it had to be someone i would like it to be weiss for this reason.
Maybe ruby will lose both eyes and she might get them replaced like maria, or which i like more is she'll adapt to being blind and when they eventually go to vacuo she could have some sort of bonding/connection to Fox Alistair and maybe he could give her some tips and help her live as a blind person
Just wanted to point out a theory I've had for a while. There is a single sentence that has been spoken very much throughout the series. "The Timeline Has Changed" which is throwing red flags my way big time. My theory is, that Season 8 will lead up to a revelation that the only way to beat/kill Salem is to go back to where it all began. Ozma's first life A.K.A. their first meeting, and they have to destroy her there, before she becomes who she is in their reality. Either by stopping Ozma from ever rescueing her or to stop her from going off her rocker and in doing so, stopping Remnant's Destruction, thank you for reading if you have 😁
I think Ruby losing a limb would be too much like what happened to Yang, however if Ruby would run into her mother either working for Salem or maybe as a Grimm hybrid and being forced to kill her would be a huge deal for her to deal with.
@@Tabby51260 what if Cinder is Summer Rose, but with Salem’s control over the Grim and darkness it altered her appearance and wiped her memories.
Fantastic theory! Scared for everyone, but overall great theory!
Hi AAOG!!!
3:08 *Begins to realize something.*
On my god.
The Death Note shirt really matches this theme

Ozpin: to be fair salem was very attractive and who would've know she had some issues.
Also, Penny is the best chance they have for explaining more about magic and how it works for the Maidens.
I can see that having a lot of utility story wise and potentially gives her a strong self sacrificing character trait.
even if she does die, her father will more than likely sacrafice hsi life to bring her back.
Roman stay dead
Roman just spawnin behind Salem and punching her to space, best character in this mess....
@@slippy1769 Interesting theory.
@@dragonraiderknight4625 idk man, I have a feeling tho

Phoenix/Night: [Oscar] is definitely gonna have a lot of mental trauma from...coming face-to-face with Salem, the great evil in the world.

@Unknown Doggo or her having to kill Summer.

I hate the idea of Qrow dying, but that would be a really good emotional scene to see play out
I feel like they're not killing Qrow after they just killed Clover for his character development

My list the people go gon die this volume
The schnee family :(
qrow i-
ace ops
pietro,maria
robyn, happy huntresses
tyrian
CINDER >:(
ren, nora
and myself
watts
Ugh
Ah yes, my least favourites!! This is gonna be a great volume :-)
Apart from Watts and Thrown :-(
I doubt Salem's dying this volume, there's already been a confirmed V9. Why would they get rid of the "big bad" before the end of the series. Unless they planned to make the gods the "final boss" of the series but as of rn there's no indication of them going in that direction.
@@gamemeister2905 oh mb like MYSELF IN IRL like my mental state LOL
@@Akash93621 Ah, okay lol. Same though.
Ruby losing an eye is on my bingo card!

I’m glad your feeling better and your headache is gone or almost gone.
I don't see Penny dying after just getting her back... BUT I can't see her getting trough unscathed...
I don't care who dies, I just want one more witty one liner from Torchwick
Bonus points: Ruby sacrifices some of her aura to revive Penny.
Nuts and Dolts OTP.
In the picture of everybody in the Vol 7 theme song, I love how Qrow is all the way to the side when everyone else is grouped together.
What do you think about Vine?.. he's too quiet

I think at least one of them dying would be a really cool part of this volume
I could see Qrow, but Tai and Raven have nothing to do with the atlas arc. It would feel way out of left field.
@@Eman-vp6ju I see what u mean about Tai making an appearance being a long stretch, but we might see Raven if things really go bad for Yang or Qrow.

Lol a little left field add on:
After the execution something in Ruby awakens.
I just realized Willow has the anime mom haircut. Uh oh
Oh no, another death flag...
legs would doubly make sense for ruby, since it'd give her her "ruby slippers" so to speak
I'm calling it, the silver eyes are like the Sharingan or something.
I honestly don't want anything to happen to JNPR give them a break, Ruby definitely needs a reality check and to suffer a big loss, I'm still annoyed that she defeated the Ace Ops,
I don't want Ironwood to die because he was trying to do what was right until Team RWBY the heroes and I use that term loosely went behind his back and ruined a lot of things especially Blake and Yang
They still betrayed Ironwood
How about the surprise that when Weiss gets in danger Whitleys fear for her actually unlocks a semblance that he does have after all?
That'd be cool as hell. I love Whitley and him getting a semblance will just make him even more interesting
Oh my God.. finally someone speaks it.. 💙💙❄❄ Whitley can be redeemed..
I JUST WANT QROW TO BE HAPPY GOD DAMNIT!!!
I want this to be the most brutal volume every liek mortal kombat kinda violence I know that won't happen but graphic stuff liek actually showing blood and Ruby's eye getting torn out
Nah it will just be screwing around on motorbikes
Ruby losing an eye is a theory I've had since the end of Vol. 3
We've never seen Weiss having a mental breakdown yet... i wonder how will i feel if it see this.. and i'm not ready..
@@Nelson_Win I mean she kind of did at the Atlas party in V4
I've been following this channel for two years now, and I've just now noticed something: Phoenix/Night looks a bit like he has silver eyes.
Has anyone else ever noticed this?
Bro I actually got uneasy from seeing the thumbnail thinking it was spoiled. Like I’m trying to get over the fact that it hasn’t come out yet
#DON'TKILLQROWBRANWEN Please Rooster Teeth Don't kill him off, he's one of my favorite characters
Happens in vol8?? maybe..
Hard to say, they do their best to prevent themselves from dying due to enemies by any means necessary.
Losing Ruby’s eye is too much!
C'mon.. 😭
Love that you compared this to Avatar the Last Airbender! I love both of these shows!
theory with the penny and loosing the maiden powers, i feel like penny may die like you said, but i feel like the power wouldn't go to cinder.
i know that the power goes to whoever the maiden last thinks of i believe? but since penny is an android, i feel like she can just close her eyes and her mind focuses on one person and not cinder. what i mean is, i feel like penny will shut off her eyes or force her mind to focus on one person.
im not sure who though, my mind is thinking either winter, ruby, or maybe weiss.
lemme explain-
so for winter, it's obvious since she was going to be the winter maiden before penny had to because winter wasn't able to actually go into the storm.
for ruby, it's one of penny's closest friends. i dont see this possibility as much, since ruby does have her silver eyes and being the main character, blah blah blah. but it would be an interesting take.
for weiss, this is my second thought if penny were to die and give the power. i feel like penny knows if she dies in a battle with cinder, and if cinder doesn't get the power, i feel like cinder would know it would've gone to winter. which is how it would kinda flip. if not going to winter, it would go to weiss. i don't see any of the main four getting maiden powers, but if it had to be someone i would like it to be weiss for this reason.
Either by stopping Ozma from ever rescueing her or to stop her from going off her rocker and in doing so, stopping Remnant's Destruction, thank you for reading if you have 😁
Yo when might the next team srph episode come out, no rush I’m just curious
I feel like w ruby it’s gonna be enough for her to realize she can’t save everyone
I had a theory in mind that perhaps raven will make a reappears and help qrow,So perhaps Raven and Qrow vs ironwood and Tyrian just a thought
That would be ace to see, i would see them fighting ironwood during their escape then tyrian.
