You're not the only one. I realized a long time ago that when you get to know a players story your perception of them changes completely. For me the NFL Films series, A Football Life, is one of my all time favorite documentary series. You get to see their story from childhood to the NFL and learn things most people are not aware of. For instance 90% of videos listing the top trash talkers include Deion Sanders. Not true. He never smoked, drank or got high. He never once disrespected men trying to feed their families because being poor himself he knew what it takes just to walk into that field on game day. Or they might say that Ronnie Lott was so tough he amputated a finger during a game so he could continue playing. Nope. It was amputated after numerous medical consultations. In a hospital.
