Lee ,just to say thank you very much for yr lesson, it worked a treat for me ,one of my fears now is to change my transmitter and receiver with something more appropriate for my level , I got a Flysky FS - I6 and it seems to me I need a cable to connect receiver to my Pixhawk Orange cube Fc , i will look around see what i can find to learn the process .cheers for your great video 👍🦅

Hi! I just bought the E-flite Timber X and I've seen some cool videos of it using thrust reverse. I have only seen it done with the spectrum config, but I fly FrSky all the way. Do you know a way of programming reverse thrust in OpenTX?

Reverse thrust is something on the ESC. There is usually a seperate connection to reverse. See my videos on things like float planes.. Happy flying

Do I need to remove the esc connectors and everything else from the cube in order to do that update ?

Should work without removing stuff, but if it fails, I would... Happy flying

Wondering if you have any suggestions.
Looking for a Drone or Drone build that can be achieved in the £800-1.5k mark that can be used for animal SAR, for winter and wet weather.
Current SAR solutions are normally well in excess of 3K, and volunteers doing SAR, in general, are hobbyists volunteering their time using self-purchased equipment. A lot of consumer drones are simply not suited to wet weather and traditional FPV can be problematic, especially when trying to sit in place to spot movement.
Therefore, wondering if you could suggest a drone build using consumer components that can achieve a reasonable SAR wet weather drone that can re-use FPV parts for VTX and Controller such as TBS CRSF and Digital Caddex camera type systems, to allow for an FPV view but with the capability to hover in place, to allow for a more concentrated search and minimal stick input. Ardupilot looks like a place to start but while I fly and build basic FPV, have no experience in dev for FCs or Autopilot so wondering am I barking up the wrong tree, is this harder to achieve than I imagine hence no real option for volunteer SAR on a budget? Can anyone suggest a DIY build, or platform that is suited?

Ardupilot would be a good starting point. See my Pixhawk 2020 series.. Happy flying

Really needing to reset mine and hoped this would help, but for some reason not connecting to my computer, I've tried just about everything; cables, reinstall, mission planner QGC. Why is it randomly not connecting you think?

Not sure as you've covered the common things. I'd delete the device from device manager, install Mission Planner and try that... Best of luck

    Good morning .
Can you help me , when I want to configure the chute , it does not give me the option of RC9 = 22 .
    Manual Release
The pilot can manually release the parachute using an RC channel/switch: set an RCx_OPTION to either 22 (Parachute Release) or 23 (Parachute 3Pos). Either function, when the RC channel is high, above CHUTE_ALT_MIN, and is armed (Copter) or flying (Plane). See following section for requirements.

I have found with certain flight controllers, versions of arduplane and versions of mission planner, you can't connect to the freshly flashed flight controller unless you close mission planner, unplug the usb, then reconnect and connect. Not sure whether this is an issue currently, but one to try if you have trouble connecting.

I've not seen that. Make sure you are using the latest version and uninstall the previous version of mission planner before installing the new one are my top tips..

Can you show a video providing a solution not being able to flash a firmware due to bad bootloader on a pixhawk black or orange cube hardware. No matter how hard you try it wont connect to the MP bec of a corrupt bootloader file. And the only solution is to get into dfu mode. Im sure people will benefit this.

I've never seen this here. I'd need a problem to show the solution. Try another USB cable in case and flash using the latest Mission Planner ... Best of luck
