Not only is the driving, crashes and the interiors of the cars realistic in BeamNG, but it also simulates stuff like the drive shaft moving or the ability to turn on differential lock. Even the engine flywheel is simulated.
I was absolutely sold when I noticed how well it simulated axle hop under hard acceleration. No canned animations, just pure physics computations, and natural reactions. Little details like that, super impressive.. Possible only through such a fantastically detailed, soft-body physics model!
@@Galinjins I like the ffb on wheels personally, though it could be better. I think one thing holding them back is the lack of ffb for controllers. After going off to college and not having my G29 available, it made me realize why more casual audiences prefer Forza. There's real response through the controller vibration. You can feel understeer and oversteer, you can feel the brakes locking up, through the controller. Beam has nothing of the sort, and I think it makes it hard for people without sim rigs to get into the game when the controller feels dead. Especially when Beam requires such precision, due to its more realistic handling model, and you need all the sensory inputs you can get.
@@porschelover04 What Beam are you playing? You could legit receive forcefeedback on the left analog stick on your controller, it's in settings 🤣. The feedback strength can also be tweaked and might I say it's way stronger than any arcade/Simcade racing game on console. It's soo fucking strong it feels like your controller is about to fall apart if you slide it to the highest increment. The reason people on Forza don't play this because they either can't afford a decent mid to high range PC to run it, or they just find it too complicated for their taste of racing/driving games. Graphics is another factor.
@@Galinjins G27 is a dog shit wheel for this kind of game. Infact it's dog shit for majority of Simulators on PC. Gear and belt driven wheels don't communicate as much feedback as they'd do on a Direct drive wheel. It's why Sim racing is such an expensive hobby to get the fullest experience.
As a map developer for the game, I can say this game is seriously one of the best independent studio games I have ever played. It allows for so much creativity in what you can create and has changed my life with modding. Thank you for covering this masterpiece of a game!
What baffles me msot about BeamNG is its sheer depth and attention to detail. The fun you get out of the game and how you play it, emerges from this detailed simulation. Just list of things why the game is so awesome: -Cars are made up of multiple parts, beams and nodes, each having weight, stiffness, friction etc, simulated. That is what makes the driving feel so realistic: each part of the car act as its own, moves arround, compresses and deforms. - Actual gearboxes. Properly simulated torgue coverters autos, DCTs and even CVTs that shift based on things like load, pedal input and Drivemode. -Drivemodes: Changes ESC, TCS, Shiftpoints, Exhaust tone, Suspension, Active Aero and Even the Dashboard. -Properly simulated ESC, with individual brakes being activated. -simulated internsals for everything. Like there are different temps for the cylinder wall than in the block. Piston rings gets damage and caus oil leaks. I could go on but you get the point. there is nothing this game doesn't pay attention to. And thats why it can do anything or you can do anything with it.
The devs seem passionate. A rare thing these days. Most go for cheap cash grabs, move to next thing, then grab cash again... But the the Beam NG folks are sticking with it, making it better, and better, and better. Wish they'd finish it, so they could offer DLC, because I want to support them more! Love this game
Pretty annoying how many AAA devs have been giving us tiny tastes of realism for decades and we are so ecstatic.... Seems like someone would give us a feast of physics and crash mechanics etc a long time ago.... Beamng would make an excellent teaching tool .kids and adults alike.
Don`t agree with you on the attention to detail. No one is driving the cars! No hands on the steering wheels or arm animations when changing gears... Kind of a BIG thing missing there from the game, if we are talking about attention to detail!
BeamNG is the game I thought I could only dream of when I was younger. I spent an unholy amount of time on burnout paradise crashing into things because it was the first game I'd seen that attempted real soft-body physics, and when I first saw BeamNG in 2013 my mind was blown. 8 years of updates and thousands of hours of messing around with cars has been the best £15 I've ever spent
One more thing. There is game called Automation (Car Tycoon) where you can create your own car. You can actually export every single car from that game to BeamNG. Just keep in mind that these cars are meant to drive rather than crashing (body is very simple).
the jbeam is very simple, the body is decent, and with a fuckton of peices in automation you can pretty much do anything, albeit the crashing of the cars would be,uhh... how do i say it,extremely spiky
It's just the best game combo I've ever seen! 10000000000% recommend to buy these two. They're just ... so compatible. You can design your engine, your car body, your interior [of course, with premade parts ... but if you're a professional, you can for sure mod your own fixtures in] It's a lot of fun!
There is one thing you missed... The integration with Automation where you can make your OWN cars and import them into the game! If you have not tried this yet you really need to! I usually will do a challenge with a friend where we both make stupid cars and have to race them in MP
Facts about a year ago I started commenting on all their posts I wanted a modern supercar with butterfly doors something like a McLaren… and then the Scintilla came out… never experienced a dev delivering exactly what I wanted so precisely.
My favorite part of the game is programming it to do whatever I want to do. With a bit of Lua knowledge, I added cylinder deactivation to a modern V8, and got 35 MPG on the highway while still having 450 hp when I put my foot down.
This game is amazing I have over 250 hours and there is something new to do each day I play. Great review and good work devs. Keep going strong with updates
170 hours here. And I enjoy it more every time I play! Probably thanks to the devs updating it constantly with great new stuff and improvements/refinements.
I first got into this game because of the cool crashes, but have since come to love and appreciate the realistic car simulation. I can't think of many other games where I have destroyed parts of the engine due to over-revving, or where I've had an oil leak because the bottom of the engine hit a rock I didn't see.
@XxDominicJames1207xX man ive watched him for years and loved all of his videos. He literally played the game since the release and made videos about all if the updates until version 0.24. UA-cam thiught he was a terrorist and blacklisted him or something like that. Luckily all of that was sorted out but it took quite a long time so he got an actual job and all and didn't really have time anymore. I really hope he comes back.
A few bits of advice as somewhat of a BeamNG veteran (started getting into it by 2016-2017) 1. The only 2 reliable places for BeamNG mods are the In-Game Repository and the official BeamNG website. Most of other 3rd party sites are just filled with Malware, Meshlaps, and stuff that should only be found on the dark web. 2. The Game is almost always better with mods, the vehicle selection still has a few gaps, here are some to fill them. Midsize, F650 like truck-Gavril Durham Modern Luxury SUV-ETK 1300, Procyon Centauri Lore-Friendly VW Golf-AW Astro 90s Hatchback-Hirochi Mistral 2010s Compact American Sedan-Gavril Vertex 1980s Oddball Japanese sports car-Ibishu Saga Minivan-Ibishu Kashira Gen 1 and 2 I could go on and on but I only have so much motivation to write.
One great thing about BeamNG is that it has normal cars. With the exception of Wreckfest, most racing games only have, well, race cars; high performance supercars with price tags in the six figures, because you’re not winning any races in your grandma’s Oldsmobile. But in BeamNG, if you want to casually drive a minivan, hatchback, panel van or pickup truck, you can go right ahead and do that. Every vehicle in the game has a stock factory model that drives exactly like you’d expect such a car to drive.
I'll add a bit to attention to detail in this game. 1. The only sim I know of that has line lock and transbrake on drag cars. Those are real things racers use on the track, here you can use them too. 2. On more modern cars with electronic helpers and such, if you stop by fully pressing the brake pedal, hazard lights turn on. Actual stuff on real cars made in past 5-10 years or so. Also it has it's downsides, which I also would like to mention in order to get attention to them and potentially make the project even better: 1. Tires don't wear. I'd love to pop few Aussie style, but can't. 2. Sometimes soft body physics gives incorrect result while showing the damage. More often it happens when a shear force is applied, bodies simply do not have a condition to detach two points hence always staying in one piece. Even if that piece is one pixel wide and whole map long. I bought it about the time it has changed game engine from Cry Engine to Unity and had many amazing experiences, looking forward to spend even more time in it
Yes. BeamNG Drive is severely underappreciated... It's basically everything racing/driving fans have always asked for, good driving model, varied challenges, etc. etc. all with REALISTIC DAMAGE. Edit: .. And Beam NG is now the 34th highest reviewed game on STEAM!
Beamng is definitely my favorite "car" game of all time. It is also probably one of my favorite games of all time, plain and simple. The community, the devs, the infinite customibility, the depth of the physics engine, the attention to minute details, and its ability to never get boring. It is one of the only games I've ever played that truly deserves a 100/100 score. I will forever love beamng and will continue to play it for the rest of my life regularly. So thank you, Bugbear, and thank you, devs, and thank you, beamng community!
This game looks amazing, just looked for it on steam and it says early access, so I think that's a pretty big point as to why it's still being updated - because it's not even out yet!
it wount come out :D BNG was in beta for most of its life and on version 0.1 it got realesed as "full" game but it will be in devopment until devs give up on it try to look up Rigs Of Rords whats there first game
They’ve even added a story mode (its pretty bad right now) but the fact that they’ve added it and the fact that you can get out of your car tells me they have way more planned for this game then what is currently in it. Like you said its not even properly released yet!
Just download it dude, this game has been an early access since like 2012 lol, yeah they update it like a normal game, but they haven't said it's fully released in literally 10 years
I played this game for a while on my old PC (I don’t have one at all right now😂) when it could still run it without lags, but, unfortunately or fortunately, the FPS decreased right before my eyes, which may mean that the graphics were getting better, physics, etc. I'm very glad that more and more people are learning about it and the community is becoming larger
I one hundred percent agree with you. There's no sim like BeamNG. Aside from the usual "BSing", my primary uses for Beam is racing practice. Rally and hillclimb, to be more specific. There's so many options to choose from, and the mod support gives you even more options!
I played beamng for 6/7 months and it is absolutely fantastic! It has everything, from real life cars, to spaceships, guns, humans, disasters and obliviously the crashes! Epic work from the devs 👍❤️
I think you could/should mention that: 1. you can even fly planes. From cargo to unpowered ones and it's a lot of fun! 2. The traffic AI (yes it's not perfect) that even makes thieves appear if you drive a cop car which you then have to chase and get. And the great police chases you get when you take a shitty car and drive too fast, so police tries to get you. 3. The replay mod is amazing, in my opinion at least. Being able to capture a moment and then watch it back but being able to change the speed and perspective of the replay completely.... blows my mind every time. But overall I loved the video. It really captured my love to the game.
Not to mention the how incredible the devs are, the most recent update some other devs would’ve released as it’s own dlc, but these guys continue to update and revamp certain parts of the game with such incredible detail. I’ve played over 500 hours on this game and loved every minute of it, for 25$ it’s a no brainer Not to mention the ability to export automation cars to beam as well
I have had beamng for years now and have clocked just under 800 hours in the game. Truly one of my all time favorites and under appreciated. The Devs are fantastic and the support is awesome.
I agree. With a thrustmaster t300 RS this game is a blast to play. The force feedbacl os so realistic. Feeling every little bump in the road like you can read the road with your eyes closed
I have a humongous love for BeamNG Drive. I've played it for around 350 hours, and not only has made my love for cars and mechanics even stronger, but it has also taught me how to drive, saving me hundreds, if not thousands of dollars in damage to transmission and body panels. My favorite things to do is racing, specially hillclimbs and time attacks, and slowly learning how to drift. I currently play it with a Logitech G923.
I’ve played beamng drive for almost 100 hours (93 hours to be exact) but the game is truly a masterpiece that is still being worked on till this day. But personally i like to drift and customize my cars. Over all one of the best driving game ever:)
First played it when they only had a pickup in the game. was loads of fun. Now 1000s of hours later it has gone from crashing cars to high speed chase to styling to just driving around listening to music to now crashing cars offroad and recovering them with a truck. the fun never ends and its still my falvourite game
First video i’ve ever seen from you. Sad that it doesn’t have as much attention as your other ones, BeamNG really deserves more people look past just the crashes. Also that toontown reference was just a massive wave of nostalgia. Thanks for that
I dont get how people only see this game as a crash simulator, everytime i play i forget its even has crashes until i overestimate my cars braking ability and go flying off the italian mountains Edit: also i think youtube should add a function specifically to remove the crash compilations when you search beamng
BeamNG is a game that I’ve played for a few years now and I have lots to say about it. I’ve never played a game like it, the physics, the feeling, everything. One of the most fun things I did was when me and my friend found this hill that you could take off from at speed, my other friend had a van and we would try to jump the hill and skip the van. It is those things you would never think to do but have lots of fun doing, one time we were playing hide and seek in west coast, and I found a secret route of tunnels and pathways that got me through the city without being seen, the devs add a lot of fun areas. If anyone is wondering the hill we took off from is in small island. Overall this is one of If not the best game I’ve seen in a long time, it’s competing with Minecraft on my list.
I've never been this addicted to a car game, I say to my self "lets play it for half an hour"... 3 hours went by since that and I still want to play more, its that good
One of my favorite things about BeamNG is that the BeamNG official cars are different from each other. They represent the niches we see/know of in real life and each one of them has its own unique attributes. This is what convinced me to buy this game. And the best thing is there are more niches to be filled. In a few days time, when the 0.25 Update drops, the modern Supercar niche will be represented by the Civetta Scintilla. And the Covet will also be getting its remastering completed, with the MR Turbo version standing out! 😉🤘
Buying this game is the cheapest alternative to buying and tuning a shitbox in real life and then finding out how easy it is to knock your wheels out of alignment
The game is some seriously wicked awesome therapy. I have some pretty bad anxiety and sensory issues and it's so therapeutic to use a wheel and drive around and be immersed in the sights and sounds for hours on end. Playing this game has helped me with my focus issues and Ive actually gotten substantially better at driving and racing just by roaming around these huge maps in nothing but mostly the default blue truck. I play other racing games but I don't think I've had as much fun in any of em as much as this. Definitely one of the most gratifying experiences I've had in sim racing and gaming in general, period
what makes this also great is how you can pick your own pace. want to relax? pick a bus route and listen to a podcast. want to let off steam? track a fast car around the nordschleife while listening to some heavy beats.
man its great to see a game ive been playing for years develop and become more popular! years later from only being able to drive the covet and its still my #1
Nothings more satisfying that mmm driving a race car, trying to get corners as best you can, lose grip because you pressed on the gas pedal too hard and panic while trying to keep control before inevitably smashing onto a barrier. Every single time this happens I have the exact same “oooooo” reaction
For those who want to know, Beamng has a precursor, called Rigs of Rods. Made by the same team years before. I recommend it to people with low end computers
Hardest rally game ever....road conditions, entry angle, matching revs with wheel spin tire pressure and anything you could think of are a very important. Oh and make sure your breaks don't get to hot
BeamNG has by far the best car customization out of any game. You can swap pretty much anything out of a car. It's also the best rock-crawling game I've ever played, and it's not even an off roading game.
you forgot to mention that old automatic cars in this game have problems that real old automatic cars have while newer automatic cars don't have that sorta problems
I noticed this video is a year old and not sure when or if this feature was available, but for the cockpit view, they have a slider setting so that the camera follows the direction of travel instead of just pointing statically straight out the front of the window (what you were seeing) This allows for a much more natural feeling cockpit view with proper head movements. And it actually made controlling the trophy truck easier over rough terrain. I love this game
This game is so good that i played it for the first time 3 yrs ago on a potato with the worst graphics preset with barely 30 fps. That's how good the game is and how much i love it.
This game is a masterpiece, truly my favorite car simulator. Just want to say y'all please don't download mods on weird websites. The in-game workshop and forum give you plenty of mods to choose from. (Also most mods for IRL cars are just stolen models from other games strangely put together on an already existing body, bootleg mods, they're often terrible and most of the time come from very sketchy websites you'll likely get a virus from)
The toddler part - my friend once brought her 5-year old kid to our house. I showed him beamng, we became friends and he cried when she wanted to leave, 4 hours later.
One tiny detail in BeamNG drive is that when driving you might notice your car veering to the right or left ever so slightly. From what I've been told, it's because the game simulates the fan belt in the engine. When this fan belt turns clockwise, one side of the car is slightly heavier, making it turn that way. I've never seen another game or simulator run a car that accurately.
Very good explanation of this simulator. It’s just incredible. I feel like the end game goal for me is scripting movie scenes. Would love to see you cover that.
The first time I took a "jeep" (the Hopper) on the trails of Jungle Rock Island, using an FFB wheel, it brought to mind immediately that feeling I had while driving a real jeep on the jeep trails in Colorado. Sheer joy.
I have wanted beamngdrive ever since I saw ybr playing it like 6 years ago and was deeply saddened when i found out it was pc only It is one of the reasons I got a pc but somewhere along the line I kinda forgot about it and still don't have it Just so many other games to complete
This and subnautica were always the types of games I wanted 2nd to something else. But one day I bit the bullet for each game and loved them so so so much! You NEED to get it, totally worth it, and the multiplayer mod is so dang amazing too!
One of the most fun experiences you can have in this game is rallying, since every mistake you make could be the end of your run and even if you manage to continue your car’s driveability goes off a cliff, making it even more difficult to finish your run. It’s so much fun and especially rewarding when you time a drift perfectly or avoid a crash by mere centimetres
As a player with only 51 in-game hours from the start of 2019 or 2020, you forgot to tell that actual off-road specialists and mechanics (or smth like that) are hired just to tell the BeamNG devs how cars work on roads/ off-road courses. This is very interesting to see from a racing game because sim-racing games aren't using these types of methods.
beamng is such a fun sandbox. i love just having fun and then if i crash, well then i get a beautiful crash. is it the best at anything? no. but it's so capable at so many things that i can overlook a few small things when i'm not really noticing them in the first place.
The stated goal of BeamNG is to be the most realistic physics simulator, period. Cars just happened to be the vehicle (heh) to showoff the devs hard work in an easy to understand way. That didn't stop the devs from adding lore to all the fake car makers in-game. If cars aren't your thing, don't worry, modders have added boats, planes and trains. If anyone really wants to see the brilliance of this game and its community, look up the channels Car Mighty, FailRace, MuYe, Camodo and Nielogical. Absolute mad lads.
I got a tip for you, if you press those squares dear the start stop button it will lock the doffs, it makes it easy when stuck in a hard place to crawl, the low range gears do help as well. Just press the "H" near start stop button and it will engage the short gearbox, so it makes it easier to crawl. All this actions can be done as well by pressing Crtl + Shift + A Or Ctrl + Shift + D
The number of times I've watched someone off-roading in Beam, complaining they can't get somewhere... and the diffs are unlocked. Do they just not pay attention to the UI?
The other day my car got on it's side and it began to overheat. I got a notification telling me the engine was starved of oil. The level of detail is insane!
It's so strange how far I am from the vanilla game when I play lol I have about 400 plus mods almost all of them are offroad, rock crawling, Desert racing mods. Insane details when you pay and support some of the incredible modders out there. With the in-game detailed damage display it detects ever bend, break, tweak, of every part of your vehicle and when you are rock crawling in a rear steer pro crawling buggy on some of the most difficult map mods out there, all of that is critical to pay attention to, i mean the amount of air in your tires can be the deciding factor if your going to complete the trail or go tumbling off the side of a mountain, only in beamng can you do that. Hats off to the devs for such an insanely awesome game and being so supportive to the modding communities.
i remember playing this game in middle school while it was in BETA STILL had ONE MAP and like 5 cars and you would just crash around and shit. Crazy how much its grown
As a BeamNG diehard fan, I agree wholeheartedly. It's the best game I've ever played, and despite having more hours into other titles (due almost entirely to native multiplayer support/focus), this game remains my favorite. If they add multiplayer and VR support, I'll never play anything else, honestly.
After watching this video and spending 200+ hours in Beamng, i finally got back to driving with a racing wheel. My Logitech was broken anyway so i thought why not try out the T248X that you had in the video. I love it!
Absolutely nailed it on talkin about how most of the racing/driving games are all similar with few different things. I been racing sense 1996 an racing is my whole life and yet I can’t ever get hooked on almost all the games (aside from iracing) never even tried this game or even looked into it until this post or any of your vids, and now I’m absolutely obsessed with it and love your content 😂 🙏👏
16:20 The new Civetta Scintilla supercar even has working buttons inside it that you can click Also something you forgot to mention is that if you press F, you can exit the vehicle and walk around And as you might expect, jumping on a car or running into it will damage the car too
I got this game and fell in love with how realistic the crashes are. I almost exclusively play with the realistic demolition derby mod with derby ai added and It's the most realistic demo simulation game ever
been playing for 3 years. planning to buy it for my friends too even if they wont play it- just bcoz this game deserves the support. its the only game i cant go without for a month or more- it always has something to entertain me
Dude, thank you for putting this review out. I just discovered this game last night and I am absolutely blown away how legendary it is. I honestly don’t even know what to say…
What we have to Remember, this game was released way back in like 2014, and even back then it was still so inovative, and smaller youtubers boosted the games popularity and im so glad it did. who knows what this game could have turned out like without the love of its community
You can actually look under the car and see the axles. And one thing that happened to me was that my front wheels got hit really hard and something broke, so they became loose and i couldnt steer properly.
I play this game pretty much everyday for 1-2h and i usually just go on a race track and try to beat my older laptimes and i create my own challenges for myself. Sometimes ill take a old beater and maybe give it some better tires and ill go on the mod nürburgring map and ill try my absolute best to get a good lap time and alot of times ill end up wrecking the car or fliping it but man i used to play on controller but i recently got a Logitech G920 wheel and that thing has made it even more fun and engaging for me. I absolutly love this game and i will most likely always keep playing it because all the oporitunities in this game and something new is always about to be released which keeps it fresh
My fav feature is the easy integration with automation, the car building game, which makes it so you can make your own special car quite easily and add it into the game.
On behalf of the BeamNG dev team, thanks for the kind words! Our sim wouldn't be what it is without the amazing support from the community
Awesome
Thank you for watching! Great work on the game!
I just bought this game😄
To go to America:(
Please please please please release a modern Tahoe looking suv. There’s no modern suvs in game.

Came here to say this.

I got this game about 8 years ago. The novelty of crashing cars realistically still hasn't left me when I first found the game.
BeamNG is such a genuine company as well, suggestions & thoughts by the playerbase are never brushed aside.
That sound really cool, and congrats, but we all know what happens to engines with cylinder deactivation in real life after a few years lol!
@@mitchlol5710 what happens and what's cylinder deactivation?

Probably thanks to the devs updating it constantly with great new stuff and improvements/refinements.

I first got into this game because of the cool crashes, but have since come to love and appreciate the realistic car simulation. I can't think of many other games where I have destroyed parts of the engine due to over-revving, or where I've had an oil leak because the bottom of the engine hit a rock I didn't see.
anyone else remember watching whybeare's beamNG drive video's a ton back in the day?
Yessir, showed my grandma that shit
Yep literally watched every single BeamNG video of his. I hope he is still doing well
He hasn't uploaded in a while but not because of beamng. He had some drama with UA-cam that was sorted out thankfully.
He's the goat and the reason I have the game
@XxDominicJames1207xX man ive watched him for years and loved all of his videos. He literally played the game since the release and made videos about all if the updates until version 0.24. UA-cam thiught he was a terrorist and blacklisted him or something like that. Luckily all of that was sorted out but it took quite a long time so he got an actual job and all and didn't really have time anymore. I really hope he comes back.
A few bits of advice as somewhat of a BeamNG veteran (started getting into it by 2016-2017)
Midsize, F650 like truck-Gavril Durham
Modern Luxury SUV-ETK 1300, Procyon Centauri
Lore-Friendly VW Golf-AW Astro
90s Hatchback-Hirochi Mistral
2010s Compact American Sedan-Gavril Vertex
1980s Oddball Japanese sports car-Ibishu Saga
Minivan-Ibishu Kashira Gen 1 and 2
I could go on and on but I only have so much motivation to write.
Good thing we got the Landsdale. The Kash’ is no joke tho
Also it has it's downsides, which I also would like to mention in order to get attention to them and potentially make the project even better:
This game looks amazing, just looked for it on steam and it says early access, so I think that's a pretty big point as to why it's still being updated - because it's not even out yet!
it wount come out :D BNG was in beta for most of its life and on version 0.1 it got realesed as "full" game but it will be in devopment until devs give up on it
try to look up Rigs Of Rords whats there first game
They’ve even added a story mode (its pretty bad right now) but the fact that they’ve added it and the fact that you can get out of your car tells me they have way more planned for this game then what is currently in it. Like you said its not even properly released yet!
Just download it dude, this game has been an early access since like 2012 lol, yeah they update it like a normal game, but they haven't said it's fully released in literally 10 years
This type of game can never be finished. There's always something new that the developers can add and that's what makes it so good.
The thing that stands out the most to me is the lack of mention of Automation
What is that?
@@andrempmorais it’s a game where you can design your own car no Mater how ridiculous it is and then drive it in beamng
@@samuelrudy1776 Cool!
I thought that’s cool for just driving but the crashing on those cars is like going back to GTA4.
I think you could/should mention that:
1. you can even fly planes.
I’ve played over 500 hours on this game and loved every minute of it, for 25$ it’s a no brainer
Not to mention the ability to export automation cars to beam as well
I have had beamng for years now and have clocked just under 800 hours in the game.
Thanks for that
I dont get how people only see this game as a crash simulator, everytime i play i forget its even has crashes until i overestimate my cars braking ability and go flying off the italian mountains
Edit: also i think youtube should add a function specifically to remove the crash compilations when you search beamng
beamng drive is basically what you see when playing with hotwheels
15:05 Automation exists too, which is a game where you can make fully custom cars and export them to BeamNG
I've never been this addicted to a car game, I say to my self "lets play it for half an hour"... 3 hours went by since that and I still want to play more, its that good
On steam there is this game called automation. It is where you build whatever car you want and then you can export it to beamNG drive
”While it’s fucked up, and maybe uncle Cletus is a sociopath for enjoying the crashes” is the most relatable line I’ve ever heard😂
I have played this game for 700 hours... best simulator I have ever played. Excited for the future of BeamNG :)
what makes this also great is how you can pick your own pace.
want to relax?
pick a bus route and listen to a podcast.
want to let off steam? track a fast car around the nordschleife while listening to some heavy beats.
man its great to see a game ive been playing for years develop and become more popular! years later from only being able to drive the covet and its still my #1
Nothings more satisfying that mmm driving a race car, trying to get corners as best you can, lose grip because you pressed on the gas pedal too hard and panic while trying to keep control before inevitably smashing onto a barrier. Every single time this happens I have the exact same “oooooo” reaction
Legit one of the only games I continuously go back to over and over again.
If you're not sensitive to motion sickness, then I really recommend the game in VR as well. VR is a bit unpolished but makes the experience insane.
Been playing since it came out, it's exceptional
It really is a great game that never gets old :)
I noticed this video is a year old and not sure when or if this feature was available, but for the cockpit view, they have a slider setting so that the camera follows the direction of travel instead of just pointing statically straight out the front of the window (what you were seeing)
This allows for a much more natural feeling cockpit view with proper head movements. And it actually made controlling the trophy truck easier over rough terrain. I love this game
4:12 "beating your wife and touching your nephews"... wow that was cringe
no, thats based ☕
This game is so good that i played it for the first time 3 yrs ago on a potato with the worst graphics preset with barely 30 fps.
I showed him beamng, we became friends and he cried when she wanted to leave, 4 hours later.
watching you drive with a wheel made me cry inside please god never drive a real car
Sheer joy.
I have wanted beamngdrive ever since I saw ybr playing it like 6 years ago and was deeply saddened when i found out it was pc only
It is one of the reasons I got a pc but somewhere along the line I kinda forgot about it and still don't have it
Just so many other games to complete
Get it. The game has changed so much. It’s honestly mind blowing.
This and subnautica were always the types of games I wanted 2nd to something else. But one day I bit the bullet for each game and loved them so so so much! You NEED to get it, totally worth it, and the multiplayer mod is so dang amazing too!
Same, I got a PC only for BeamNG, however the first thing I did was set it up and buy BeamNG.
PLEASE does anyone know what the game at 0:02 is? I remember it from my childhood but I have no idea what it's called

I have played this game

And its amazing
I do wish there were more F1 mods tho :/
I've had beamng for 10 years and over 4,000 hours and I still love this game
As a player with only 51 in-game hours from the start of 2019 or 2020, you forgot to tell that actual off-road specialists and mechanics (or smth like that) are hired just to tell the BeamNG devs how cars work on roads/ off-road courses. This is very interesting to see from a racing game because sim-racing games aren't using these types of methods.
beamng is such a fun sandbox. i love just having fun and then if i crash, well then i get a beautiful crash. is it the best at anything? no. but it's so capable at so many things that i can overlook a few small things when i'm not really noticing them in the first place.
Hands down the best racing game ever made. The physics in this game are approved by Albert Einstein. Those devs have to be german.

I love Forza! But only for the drifting. I can agree that the main races aren't very fun.
The drifting in Forza is the best part honestly!
Absolute mad lads.
i’ve been playing this game for almost 5 or 6 years and it’s never gotten old. easily my favorite game of all time
I got a tip for you, if you press those squares dear the start stop button it will lock the doffs, it makes it easy when stuck in a hard place to crawl, the low range gears do help as well.
Just press the "H" near start stop button and it will engage the short gearbox, so it makes it easier to crawl.
All this actions can be done as well by pressing
Crtl + Shift + A
Or
Ctrl + Shift + D
16:20 The new Civetta Scintilla supercar even has working buttons inside it that you can click
Also something you forgot to mention is that if you press F, you can exit the vehicle and walk around

Dude, thank you for putting this review out. I just discovered this game last night and I am absolutely blown away how legendary it is. I honestly don’t even know what to say…
BeamNG is basically gmod for cars, the best gift for any gamer who even vaguely likes cars
What we have to Remember, this game was released way back in like 2014, and even back then it was still so inovative, and smaller youtubers boosted the games popularity and im so glad it did.
who knows what this game could have turned out like without the love of its community
And thats not even including the automation crossover to make your OWN CAR!!!!! 10/10 video!
Love the car customization! Free roam with traffic and slapping a turbo on a base model sedan is a blast
Got the game in 2015 and has been worth every single penny ever since I’m always coming back to this
My fav feature is the easy integration with automation, the car building game, which makes it so you can make your own special car quite easily and add it into the game.
im still in love with this game. had it for 6 years 1000+
hours.
I love beamng because of how one mistake can mess up your entire car and run, instead of just scratching the paint like most AAA games
