@@Andrew-qs5yo what ? Stage 2 with E20 is around 850hp on the S58, while the same tuning would be like around 500+hp for the B58, cmon dude i got the engine, and i know that the S58 is more tuneable, and on 93 it still has more potential as the B58. - The S58 Engine got build up from the B58.

It really does, I have that exact same one, and yeah the sound of performance is an understatement, especially the pops that would have everyone looking for cover, I live in the woods and it resonates tremendously.

On Roll #1 the BMW shifted twice (2nd to 3rd to 4th) otherwise it was going to gap them like Roll #2. Listen carefully at 5:54 you hear it

Excellent run and matchup!! I actually have that exact same Alfa (but with yellow calibers lol!) although It does have its intermittent quirks that can be an annoyance at times, the performance and handling are supreme. I had a 2010 Nissan GT-R for 6 years and my Alfa SQ literally feels like that but in an SUV platform, it stays so well-planted in and out of corners that you forget you're not in a sports car, add that to the power, and sound and it's always a win win. Again thanks for such a great comparison video, this was one of the better-unbiased ones.

I had a 21 x4m40i & that thing felt like a hellcat 😂 it’s ability to downshift and eagerly aggressively be ready to launch dowsed with small punches to the gas you can hear the turbo whine it was a treat. Oh yeah interior nice AF

I've said this a lot, but BMW just knows how to make their cars punch above their weight. I mean that X4M Competition just SHOT OFF when from a stop.
have you seen any other drag race involving a BMW, or some dyno runs? their power is usually 10% understated (minimum), hence everyone is wondering how they are so fast. There's no magic, the specs need to add up and for BMWs they don't. Especially with Competition models, it's been proven power is really understated.

Have a x3m....amazing, saw a q4 the other day, and it sounds amazing like a ferrari, i heard it accelerating a block or more away like a proper super car, but the interior and no hud like my car makes this car look like an antique, i never (but would like to) tried one. But my x3m is pure bliss on the highway, gls 63s could not keep up, or they were too nervous to go above 225km, either way, so far nothing has touched me....drive safely everyone.

Good catch, in one of the races when the camera is in the x4m you can clearly hear the bmw was short shifted atleast 3k below redline.
in the First Roll she forgot to put it in the Sport Mode. that's why she lost that Race. Also the reason she was short Shifting.
@@Tireburner7 also it can be understood from the moment where in the drag race she accidentally turns on the windshield wipers because the + gear paddle is very close and she was up shifting

I have driven Alfa's, and out of the premium segment, and they are underwhelming for this price in my opinion. BMW is in a whole different class in technology and performance wise. What drive mode were you in in the Alfa? My daily is a Misano Blue Stelvio Quadrifoglio and I love it to bits. Smiles per £ (here in UK) or $ in Canada is huge. The other 2 are considerably more expensive.
Also, would you have run the 3 cars in manual shifting as well, as the 8 speed ZF box is very good in day to day driving but manually flipping those gorgeous large aluminium paddles is what it’s all about!

Fun fact: a stelvio QV with some different optionals (no sunroof, ceramic brakes and sparco seats) would have shaved around 90-100 lbs of weight and likely gained 0.1s on 0-60 mph and 1/4 mile :)
p.s. throw in it the akrapovic exhaust, a factory OEM optional in europe, that is 14 lbs lighter than the standard exhaust and likely lighter than the ragazzoni exhaust also!
S58 is just a rocket.
BMW engine is twin turbo not twin power turbo (refers to single twin scroll turbo such as in x4 m40). Real M cars like this use two turbos

For the second dragrace you asked bmw driver to NOT LAUNCH again because you are unable to launch that alfa (i would say you are unable to launch any awd car).

Maserati is owned by Stellantis, and American conglomerate that owns other American vehicles like Dodge etc. If you jump into a Maserati you will see a lot of Dodge, Jeep Chrysler tech and buttons and more. It’s not fully Italian.

Why do you guys struggle so bad with clean roll racing? Line up all cars and drive at a set speed. Lock the cars in the optimal gear in manual mode. Go on the radio 3, 2, 1, GO! Like it’s not that hard
Some German UA-camrs have demonstrated that BMW engine actually has around 545 HP and more than 700 Nm of torque, but BMW continues to persist in declaring much lower values

There's something wrong. You probably didn't use the "race" mode on Stelvio (I don't know about Maserati Levante). But "Ze Perf" website, who compares car performances using different real measures from important car newspapers tests, says things with different results.
Why do you say that Maserati is half american? It's not. You can say Chrysler and Jeep are half European, at least, not that Maserati is half american.

Great video, i was in the market for an SUV, and test drove all 3x of these cars + more, i bought the X4. Maserati for the money you pay, the infotainment system is from the 80's and doesnt hug the road like the bimmer did, and the Alfa romeo build quality was a little questionable. More i did research the engine and gearbox the X4 was alot more robust then all in the market.
