- I thought it would be cool to combine hindrance damage, sticky ink, and poison ink in one build. Little did I know, the rng had other plans for me, and this slowly evolved into a minefield courtesy of Pearl being placed behind me at all times. If anything tried to follow me, it's chances of survival were practically none.

Roller has a drone chip bias.
That chip was one of the very few available drone chips.
Therefore it haunted you forever.
No it doesn't. Roller has bias for Power and Lucky chips.

Great run and video! Some things to note about the game mechanics:
1) Drone Gauge Charge appeared so often on the later floors because it was the only drone chip left available after you maxed out the Drone Ink Mine. When deciding which chips to offer on any given floor or in the vending machine, the game first selects their tone, then randomly any available chip from that tone. Depending on your color chip bias, there was thusly either an 11.11% (high bias), 13.33% (slight bias), or 16.67% (no bias) chance that any offered chip on a floor was Drone Gauge Charge, since drone chips are not a favored tone of the roller. On a floor with 3 chips, that means you had either a 29.77%, a 34.9%, or a 42.13% chance to see Drone Gauge Charge in one of the 3 slots. Vending machines never take bias into account, so they always had a 16.67% chance to offer Drone Gauge Charge per color chip slot.
2) Main Ink Coverage for roller only affects the amount of ground painted by flicking your roller, not by rolling with it. To increase the amount of paint via rolling, you need the Rush Ink Coverage chip instead.

The reason Pearl can spawn so many mines is because the tower is in a virtual reality, so in-universe the game is just running a function like "null spawn_inkmine()" (assuming whatever programming language Marina used is like C++; it probably is not).
I feel like marina is such a computer whiz she made her own coding language, cause all others were too annoying to handle.

To answer your question, it’s a vr world, so it just generates code for the ink mines

I also play genshin, and I got Neuvi at 9 pity so uh- do with that as you will-
anyways an idea for a run is “Side order but i’m the flash!” Weapon: Roller or Brush, take your pick. Chips: Rush Tun speed, Rush attack, Regular Run Speed, Mobile Ink Recovery.
As a Genshin player, you're right on the wanting things and never getting them. I've been farming artifacts for Arlecchino, and it keeps giving me either Unfinished Reverie(wrong set) or HP% Harmonic Whimsy (wrong stat)

I was playing PvZ2 while watching this. While you were haunted by Drone Gauge Charge in your chip selection, I was haunted by Turkeypult in my Rent-A-Plant selection.

All my runs also consist on constantly getting drone gauge pop up even though every drone chip is disabled

Yo, bringing back my Octolaser build suggestion with a couple tweaks!
It is no longer Octolaser. Instead, i now dub it Stingray 2.0, Because doing it with No-Hacks Octoshot is HELL-
The Main Chips for this build are
-Max Firing Speed
-Max Shot Spread Reduction
-Max Piercing.
The Recommended Optionals are
-Main Range
-Splat Ink Recovery
-Ink Saver Main
-Ink Attack Size
The biggest difference is 4s Palette becoming the “standard” mode and No/Low Hacks Octoshot being the “Challenge” Mode. Theres a few chip tweaks as well, but this ultimately makes it easier for you to become *B E A M*
I did an ink mine bomb rush build recently lol, I just bullied the enemies to death lol

5:37 i know how you feel here. If you get this stage with roller, brush or splatana you're in for a slog. It's not even that hard of a stage! It's just stupid tedious if you don't have the range you need.
