Of course, but it's easier said than done. There are very sneaky tricks and manipulation tactics that Africans are using. These tactics are akin to social engineering used in modern hacking and taking advantage of psychological vulnerabilities. Most of all is the layers of lies from various individuals involved in a process, to an extent that is beyond reason to assume for most people, even the most skeptical among us.

Always allow time to help you... 4 years is key for almost everything... high school, college, military service contracts, presidential, once you turn 21 give yourself 4 years to fully mature and understand that being an adult is about managing your time, making good decisions and resolving situations...

That's bcuz they are not OUR OWN. These people are from the lineage of Ham. We people who were sold into captivity by these gentiles are Shemetic/Hebrews. Read Genesis 10:1 & 32. They have always been our open enemy along w/ ALL the other gentiles nations including the Arabs, Caucasians, Asiatics, & AFRICANS. Our land is being occupied by the Synagogue of Satan & the Palestinians, yet we are in Canaan land, once again, being hoodwinked & bamboozled by a bunch of LIARS who told us that we must return back to the land of our captivity. How do you think you were sold into captivity? Why did you end up in that land in the first place? Do some research & reading instead of Don g what us expected, believing everything your open enemies tell you. Suggested readings: "From Babylon to Timbuktu" by Rudolph Windsor. "The 13th Tribe" by Arthur Koestler. Knowledge is Power!✊🏾✊🏿 Stop running the world over looking to be loved by people who hate you! Seek first Yah's Kingdom. WAKE UP!!!!!

Oh…I forgot they(Ghanaians) told y’all Nigeria is bad and Nigerians are bad too and y’all believed it without even going there to see for yourselves…Y’all allowed yourselves to be deceived and scammed and now y’all are complaining and talking about “Leaving Africa” like you went to other parts of Africa. Y’all allowed Ghanaian government and people to deceive y’all and making y’all believe that Ghana is the best place in Africa. Now, you can all see for yourselves. And by the way, it’s not just Ghana and Nigeria. There are other places in Africa y’all can actually live and be comfortable without going through all these non sense you people are going through in Ghana.

Cause there some AAs that moved to Ghana and they all traced their ancestry to Nigeria, but they said they were told by Ghanaians that Nigeria isn’t a good country(somewhere they’ve never been to before to see for themselves to know if what they were told was actually true), and there was even one AA lady who got her ancestry DNA results when she arrived Ghana and her ancestry was traced to tribes in Nigeria, but she also said some bad things about Nigeria and Nigerians( somewhere she’s never been to) just based off what she was also told there in Ghana about Nigeria and Nigerians. She said something like “she wasn’t expecting or didn’t want her roots to be Nigeria, and out of all places NIGERIA?”. The look on face and the way she said all that with disdain and regret, and I was like huh? 😂
The Ghanaian president/government and people deceived y’all with the year of return and the “come to the motherland, come home” nonsense and y’all fell for it. Y’all were told lies about other African countries and now, Ghana has done to y’all what Ghana does to people and what they know how to do best, and y’all are here complaining and expecting people to pity or sympathize with y’all? The Role of Africans In The Slave Trade...

I'm aware of our history here and the struggles we face and are still facing but I'm also aware that we have history and culture as Americans as well. Im just as American as the next citizen here. You don't let anyone dictate or decide your worth. How anyone views me or not accept me is not my problem. I know my worth and value no matter where I'm at on this earth. Me personally I love Africa, the people, the culture, the land , the food the diversity. I remember I was visiting Ghana in 2019 with my family. I was born and raised in Ghana but I decided to settle abroad. We had our visas and proper documents to show at the immigration. The immigration officer who interviewed us wanted to know our returning date and I told him and he inspected our returning tickets.
Our passport were stamped two days less than the actual departing date which were not aware of it. Coming back at the airport three immigration officials seized our passport and accused us for over staying in Ghana for 2 days. We were dealing with three immigration officers at that time. Two men and a Lady officers. We were about to miss our flight and these people were demanding substantial amount of money from us before they will give our passport back all because according to them we've over stayed for 2days
The whole plan started on the day that we arrived and interviewed Ghana.
Before these officials allowed us to board the plane we were forced to transfer 150 US dollars into Ghanaian currency and theen deposit it into one of the immigration officer's personal accounts.
      Most Ghanaians are not truthful.

OK, Shame about the scammers and sad they had a bad experience but I also think they did not do their due diligence before coming.
As a Ghanaian myself, I think twice before buying land and I do all my due dilligence, running searches at the land commission, enquiring about the sellers, etc. I don't take someone's word as gospel whether it is a chief or family head. By doing my due dilligence and paying for searches at the lands commission, I have saved myself from a lot of headache and potential scammers.
As for citizenship, it is a process, it is not offered immediately.
I also sense a level of self entitlement here.
Yes the government must do better but the reality is there are many poor Ghanaians, who do not own land or a home to their name, so the government cannot suddenly just prioritise people coming from the diaspora to the detriment of those already in Ghana, who struggle every day.
The complaints about no electricity, no water or infrastructure to welcome them is quite frankly the reality for a lot of Ghanaians.
I recently bought land in Ghana and where I bought it there's no development for now but it will develop over time. Ghana is a developing country so diasporans need to manage their expectations and be realistic!
To every diasporan looking to move to Ghana, research, do your due diligence and build some relationships before moving or investing.

Even when someone you know is supporting you, make sure you also double check with land commission to ensure the land Is legally registered to the person who is selling the land. Make sure you have all your legal documents.. I prefer buying land from registered agencies , lands that are non litigation. Also ensure you speak to the locals near the land .. you will b amazed the info you can get from them about any issues with the land. Romanticizing one's roots is a tricky path to under take. Moral of story.... " I may look like you and you may look like me but that is where the likeness ends".......opportunists exist everywhere, even in Utopia. For some, they may soon realise that " ...the grass is not always greener on the other side. To the brother who said that the Africans need to show respect to the Jamaican Nana.... is he serious?.....its a dog eat dog world our there, survival of the fittest. Oh my gosh....this is so painful to watch....these people were duped, they were looking at Africa with rose coloured glasses. Lord have mercy

The best way to integrate in Ghana is learning the local language. Even If your Ghanaian diasporan and you don’t speak a local dialect it will be difficult to integrate. A lot of the locals do not understand your issues out there. There is barely a link b/w and African American and the locals. How often do diasporans visit the local market and buy goods and share their stories. There should be radio programs discussing this issues and creating awareness about these challenges. Segregating yourselves without creating a connection with the layman creates assumptions.

It would have been better if the background event/ music was not so loud.
I too am Caribbean born that felt the need to leave America and make Ghana home and have been met with the same issues they have faced. It is sad and discouraging as I too feel like leaving when my one year here comes to an end.
